It's the circle that's half black and half white. under that is a bunch of icons for image adjustment. the one on the bottom right that looks like a gradient, that applies a gradient map.
Since we pixel in greyscale, the gradient map makes anything black be one end of the gradient, anything white is the other end of the gradient, and all the in-between greys match up from there.

No, it's not that. Gradient maps are different. It's one of those little icons to the side. I'll get you a picture of it when I have the chance.
