I have decided I am too bad at counting to do crocheting. Can you do blankets on the loom? XD

I wasn't thinking about that :/
I'll probably make a denim one then that way it's washable

Felt would be...interesting to clean. You could make a whole bunch of them and just throw them away when it gets gross... that's really wasteful though.

Can't decide if I want to swap avi or not :/

You definitely can, yes! I have made 4 adult blankets and I think 5 or 6 baby blankets.

I wish I still had my childhood looms they were only $1 each and now I hate to even price one they are expensive ain't they

Derpy McBlueEyes 12-01-2017 02:56 AM

Depends on the type of looms and the brand. My knitting board and afghan looms were all in the $20+ range, but you can get a basic, plastic set of 4-5 round or rectangle looms in the $10-15 range usually.
So, while they're more expensive than they used to be (not surprising, everything is more expensive) the basics can be pretty affordable in the long run. Especially if you can find coupons.

I remember making one too, I forgot until I was googling stuff but I remember making one with nails and cardboard and it actually was pretty good I made coin purses

Makung one would be cool. I wouldn't mind making another fine gauge knitting board in a larger size than the one I have eventually...

My roommate said she is getting me an Amazon giftcard for Christmas. I may buy myself a loom to make blankets on when I get it.

I recommend the Authentic Knitting Board super afghan loom. The pegs on the inner circle parts of it can be a little tricky at first, but it's a pretty versatile loom. Good for adult and baby blankets as well as shawls.

I can't help but love everyone's avies!

Mekatra 12-01-2017 08:34 PM

I have an idea for my next one, just gotta get my post on to get the item I need for it.

I love everyone on here's avis too. Like, one of my favorite parts of this site is how everyone's avi is so different. You don't see a bunch all just doing the same thing.

My heater just randomly quit working...

dragoness129 12-01-2017 09:00 PM

Yep! So many awesome avies!

Oh no! How it was just a minor glitch and that it didn't break down completely!
