Alright, maze is closed for tonight due to operator tiredness. You can still all pick your options, but I will update tomorrow. You're absolutely correct, it is supposed to be straight or left.

Double checked mdom, Gizzie and bluebird. Your locations and path options are exactly what they're supposed to be.

The corn stalks bask in your appreciation and one of them gifts you a corn cob. You thank the stalk and go straight. After a while your path forks off into two: one to the left, and another one to the right. From the left you can hear a faint hissing sound.

Black cats bring bad luck? What a stupid superstition! This is just an injured little kitten who needs help, and so you take her to the vet. At first the cat seems to resent treatment, but the vet shows lots of patience and finally gains her trust. You're glad to know her in good hands and walk back into the maze.

You go left. This, with all its twists and turns, seems such an endless long path you bet your rainbow shirt by now you must've almost walked from the southmost part of the maze to its northmost. Well, almost. Just as you start thinking this path will never end, you run into KittyBeary.

You notice a somewhat tired looking mdom coming from the path to your left. So it's at least survivable. Nevertheless you decide to run after bluebird, because you like the idea of having a meat shield who will set off possible traps before you get to them. After maybe three meters another path appears to the left.
