marysue is an unoriginal and usually unreasonable char, chars with lazy personalities, hyjacked clothes, abnormal colorings(generally red eyes pink/blue/green hair and unnatural pink or nearly white skin streaks or spots in stereotypical places)

basically though not exclusively those cookie-cutter animu girls and boys with the same three personality traits and total disregard for natural bodies

Mary Sue is a generic term that's used to insult a character who is predictable and cliche. Think Bella from Twilight. She's your typical high school student and finds a cliche love with a vampire... that's considered Mary Sue, or Gary Stu.

Though some people consider characters who are outlandishly coloured, vastly different from the cliche and ordinary to my Mary Sue/Gary Stu.
