I want a new comp soon.
There are so many games now that require you to run DX11
and i can't!

do you need a whole new computer or would the one you have support an upgraded video card?

Whole new comp really, this one doesn't have more than 2 ram slots and i dont think it would support any kind of change. Also 4 of the 8 usb slots arent working.

I love my computer but I want a new one ;~;

How old is your comp?

Mine is from 2012! And it's fine. . . xD But sometimes it makes a grating noise like there is something plastic stuck in the fan but I took the bottom off and couldn't find anything. *shrugs*

Otherwise I generally don't really have problems but I am an apple promoter (that is what they call customers who keep buying their newest products) and I want the newer shinier macbooks y.y

so.... i use my comps until they physically break XD i have been trashing software for years without corrupting too much to stop working X''D

I have revived this one a couple of dozen times already, it just can't handle the strain of the programs anymore even if it doesn't break physically.

i use the same progras i used a decade ago XD art program from 2001, animator from 2006, sims game from 2005, emulators from 2001-4 X''D only the photoshop is new and i think that is like 5-6 years old XD

Emulators? Like Visual Boy Advance, DeSmuME, Project 64, ePSXe and PCSX2?

only the first one and snes/nes emulators XD

I use ScummVM ouo so I can play my DOS games xD

Aren't there many versions of King's quest now that don't require a dos emulator? And aren't most good old games on GOG, so it's easy to buy them again or pirate the GOG version.

DOS games eh? Get Dinopark Tycoon. Save up to get the Vegasaurus.

It won't destroy you at all.

Alright, you get a Salone story.

When I was a small child, there was a game in Computer class called Dino Park Tycoon. Standard tycoon game, although you ran a park where you bought and cared for dinosaurs. Now this was the 90's, and dinosaurs were still totally radical. I start playing and slowly learning my way through the management series that all Tycoon games are.

Well in the list of dinosaurs you could buy, there was one very special dinosaur...called the Vegasaurus. In fact, here he is.

Now he was expensive. Ridiculously expensive. $25,000, when the next most expensive dinosaurs were in the $7000-$9000 range.

I had to have him.

We only had computer class once a week, so it took me several weeks/a few months to get the money for him. I recorded information, gauged how much money I was making based off of various ads, cut corners with park security to save money, everything I could possibly do to save that next dollar up for my beloved Vegasaurus.

Finally the day comes where I hit that glorious $25000 mark. I click on it to buy it, joy in my heart.

Now the thing about the dinosaur buying page is that the dinosaurs are displayed in little egg nests, with a tray cart that zips along on a track underneath. Tray stops, egg is dumped in to it, and the tray zips it along to your park.

So I click 'Buy', it takes my money, the tray zips along...and it stops just short of the nest for the Vegasaurus egg. The nest tips the egg...and splatters it on the floor. A sign pops up in the nest that says 'NOW EXTINCT'.

I was devastated. I had to go to the counselor's office. I turned off the game and I never played again.

Who does that? Who does that to a child? Who makes a game for children and puts that much hatred in to a game to unleash it upon an innocent youth?

Anyway yeah aside from that heartache it's a decent game and you might like it.

Awwwe. It's like in Ephemeral Fantasia, this guy hatches eggs for you and you get cute chickens that fight with you. Nobody told me that when they died they didn't come back though ;~; then you could go look at their RIP screens. It was so sad.

Tycoon games can be fun and they haven't really changed all that much for decades.

I'm really sorry for your trauma Salone. I even googled it and you're right, there is just no way to get that little dinosaur.

Oh my gosh, that is the most cruel thing I've heard in a long time. T_T What kind of monster puts that into a game for kids?

Well there are several other games that trolls their users.
It's quite common actually but often it's either very obvious or well hidden.

I was trying to think of more examples . . . but my brain failed me y.y

Duck hunt, several moments in most GTA games, several might and magic games, diablo 2 and 3 secret levels and more.

Ohh I have only played duck hunt out of those!
