LOL Nope. Baby white geese are very yellow. Not so surprisingly so as baby white ducks. But they are indeed yellow. This be goose baby.

So, Tam and I were talking cookies a little while ago, and I remembered my favorite oatmeal cookie recipe.

Last night I ate a buckwheat cookie flavoured with coconut and lemon, both of which I love. But I nearly spit this out because of a strong and unexpected other flavour. But now I know what it is, and next time I need a cookie I'm ready to try again.

Oatmeal plus soft-cooked eggs plus cheese and sour cream or butter = nooooommmmmm.

XD I know that kind of stuff is great on rice. I can't have oats anymore, sadly.

I am not a fan of oatmeal...but sounds nom indeed. :)

XD Law, you need to try steel cut oats, or let me cook you the rolled ones. It's not mush, but yummy pilafy stuff to put butter and garlic on.

Oh...I've only had camping oatmeal. That stuff you don't want to add water to.

Awww. You need a chance to try real oatmeal. Even if you cook the rolled oats a bit mushy, if you've got salt in there it'll still be good. And you can slice it and fry it after it's cold. And that actually does taste good. XD Especially if you fry it with the stuff you just fried meat in.

Steel cut oats sound nom right now... but I don't wanna go back to the store to buy some.

gonna hafta be. IIRC, mom's gonna take me shopping later today, unless it's not today that she's going down to Shenandoah to go practice at the driving range. Dad entered himself and her in a tournament without consulting her first... so she's mildly annoyed by that.

Well, at least he didn't buy her a bowling ball with his name on it?

We have a long-standing joke in our family. One Christmas, Dad got Mom a food dehydrator. He thought it was the neatest thing ever, but she was less than impressed, and made him take it back to the store. So now, whenever he gets her a gift, we (the sibling, Dad, and I) are all "I bet it's a food dehydrator!" Mom gives us SUCH a Look for it.

LMBO. Oh, those in jokes.

And it all started with a bad Christmas gift... though to be fair, Mom's given some pretty cruddy gifts, too... like a book on financial advice, when she and Dad are a bad example of how to manage finances in day-to-day stuff.

Yup, me and my duck feets. lol I got Ultra Magnus' "goatee" built, and glued to the face. I still have a couple coats of mod podge to apply to it, but after that's done, I'mma work on the rest of his head.

Cosplay. I'll be making a kilt to go with, too, because a convention I'm going to in June has a "Kilt Blowing" competition, and I have a warped sense of humor. :)
