It looks more like a duckling to me... aren't most goslings grey-ish?

Tam I am 03-04-2016 08:18 PM

LOL Nope. Baby white geese are very yellow. Not so surprisingly so as baby white ducks. But they are indeed yellow. This be goose baby.

Den 03-04-2016 09:04 PM

So, Tam and I were talking cookies a little while ago, and I remembered my favorite oatmeal cookie recipe.

Tam I am 03-05-2016 07:22 PM

Last night I ate a buckwheat cookie flavoured with coconut and lemon, both of which I love. But I nearly spit this out because of a strong and unexpected other flavour. But now I know what it is, and next time I need a cookie I'm ready to try again.

Den 03-08-2016 05:42 PM

Oatmeal plus soft-cooked eggs plus cheese and sour cream or butter = nooooommmmmm.

Tam I am 03-08-2016 07:27 PM

XD I know that kind of stuff is great on rice. I can't have oats anymore, sadly.

Lawtan 03-08-2016 08:41 PM

I am not a fan of oatmeal...but sounds nom indeed. :)

Tam I am 03-09-2016 02:36 PM

XD Law, you need to try steel cut oats, or let me cook you the rolled ones. It's not mush, but yummy pilafy stuff to put butter and garlic on.

Lawtan 03-09-2016 05:24 PM

Oh...I've only had camping oatmeal. That stuff you don't want to add water to.

Tam I am 03-09-2016 05:53 PM

Awww. You need a chance to try real oatmeal. Even if you cook the rolled oats a bit mushy, if you've got salt in there it'll still be good. And you can slice it and fry it after it's cold. And that actually does taste good. XD Especially if you fry it with the stuff you just fried meat in.

Den 03-10-2016 11:52 PM

Steel cut oats sound nom right now... but I don't wanna go back to the store to buy some.

Tam I am 03-11-2016 04:36 PM

LOL So it can be a treat for another day?

Den 03-11-2016 05:44 PM

gonna hafta be. IIRC, mom's gonna take me shopping later today, unless it's not today that she's going down to Shenandoah to go practice at the driving range. Dad entered himself and her in a tournament without consulting her first... so she's mildly annoyed by that.

Tam I am 03-12-2016 05:23 PM

Well, at least he didn't buy her a bowling ball with his name on it?

Den 03-13-2016 03:27 AM

We have a long-standing joke in our family. One Christmas, Dad got Mom a food dehydrator. He thought it was the neatest thing ever, but she was less than impressed, and made him take it back to the store. So now, whenever he gets her a gift, we (the sibling, Dad, and I) are all "I bet it's a food dehydrator!" Mom gives us SUCH a Look for it.

Tam I am 03-13-2016 03:00 PM

LMBO. Oh, those in jokes.

Den 03-13-2016 08:17 PM

And it all started with a bad Christmas gift... though to be fair, Mom's given some pretty cruddy gifts, too... like a book on financial advice, when she and Dad are a bad example of how to manage finances in day-to-day stuff.

*changing the topic now*

This is what I've been working on in the wee smas since Saturday:

Yup, me and my duck feets. lol I got Ultra Magnus' "goatee" built, and glued to the face. I still have a couple coats of mod podge to apply to it, but after that's done, I'mma work on the rest of his head.

Tam I am 03-15-2016 02:37 PM

XD Tell the peeps here why you're building his head.

Lawtan 03-15-2016 04:11 PM

Cosplay, or is Den going to make an actual transformer?
What a Wonderful World...

Den 03-15-2016 10:42 PM

Cosplay. I'll be making a kilt to go with, too, because a convention I'm going to in June has a "Kilt Blowing" competition, and I have a warped sense of humor. :)

Tam I am 03-16-2016 06:59 PM

See, there was a joke on the show this TF comes from involving kilts.

Den 03-16-2016 10:15 PM

I did a quick, five minute photomanip as soon as I heard it, and it was one of my most popular posts on Tumblr at the time....

But this is pretty funny, too: http://i.imgur.com/eLsDnjX.gif

Tam I am 03-17-2016 03:08 PM

Yay, Hulk! Smack him right out of the picture!

Den 03-17-2016 06:48 PM

Law, here's the manip I was talking about: http://mari-chan.deviantart.com/art/...HING-372481112

I'm actually scouting out fabric to make this monstrosity a reality.

Lawtan 03-17-2016 07:48 PM

XD

That looks very cool, actually.

Tam I am 03-18-2016 03:23 PM

I told her she needed frilly shorts underneath, but those are too hard to come by. XD

For someone my size, they are.

I'm trying to decide if I want to go with a blue plaid or a purple plaid for the contest.

Tam I am 03-19-2016 05:21 PM

*hug* You like blue. And Magnus has blue on him. So I vote blue.

Den 03-21-2016 08:05 PM

I'll still have to get purple at some point before TFCon, because I wanna troll my tiny, sweary, British friend.

Tam I am 03-22-2016 02:59 PM

LMBO. You don't need to go to such lengths to get the swearbox to work!

Den 03-22-2016 06:25 PM

But she breaks out the epic swears when I troll her unexpectedly. It's always worth it.

Tam I am 03-23-2016 04:04 PM

Ahhhh. Too bad I don't know where to find those butterflies that you wind up and stick inside a greeting card, and then they buzz and go flying when the card is opened. I gave one of those to my birth mom once. Bahaha.

Den 03-24-2016 02:00 AM

0_0 They make that sort of thing?! *much plotting ensues*

Tam I am 03-24-2016 02:42 PM

Yuuup. Wire, paper, and an elastic band.

Den 03-25-2016 06:22 PM

Huh. I'll have to keep an eye out for those...

Tam I am 03-25-2016 06:39 PM

Here you go.

Den 03-25-2016 08:22 PM

*gets to plotting~*
