Hehe yeah, that sounds like a nice list of projects.

I want to learn how to crochet, make rainbow grilled cheese sandwiches, try working with Worbla or similar thermoplastic material, collect all my tried and approved cooking recipes in one place, try mig welding, make the blue rock candy they used as meth in Breaking Bad, finish my diy Star Trek pyjama, make treasure pudding, create Steampunk accessories, and probably a dozen things I've forgotten right now.

Kaderin Triste 04-25-2017 07:24 PM

Ah yes. Recipe organization. I started typung up stuff on my computer, but got bored. Need to get back to that.

Death by Mirrors 04-25-2017 07:31 PM

Yup. I have about forty individual sheets of paper, stored in thirty different places, and usually when I'm looking for a particular one it takes me longer to find the recipe than to actually cook the meal. Some of the stuff I make often I know by heart (shrimp biryani and pad thai for example, or the beef stew my grandfather taught me) but I can't for the life of me remember baking recipes - even when making meringue I need to look up how much sugar actually goes in there.

dragoness129 04-25-2017 07:39 PM

Lots of luck with the colleges!
I'm trying to get one game to load, but my connection is horrible. It keeps making me mad and sad.

Gee forty? Is that all? Haha...admittedly a lot of the recipes I'm copying aren't tested yet, but if I copy them into my computer I can get rid of the magazines and books, which will save me room.
I used to have my parent's cornbread recipe memorized, but I haven't made it in YEARS. If I had a better kitchen (and more money) I would probably cook/bake more frequently and would have a few recipes memorized...but my kitchen sucks.

dragoness129 04-25-2017 08:03 PM

My grandma got me a recipe box for Christmas. ^_^

Kaderin Triste 04-25-2017 08:09 PM

Recipe boxes are cool. If I had the counter space for it, I'd steal the one from my dad's house. But alas. I don't even have enough counter space for a microwave.
That is still a pretty nice gift. Did she put family recipes in it?

Fulkth 04-25-2017 09:30 PM

I have a recipe box! It used to be my grandma's! Her recipes are still inside. My recipes are on my computer and in a folder.

Death by Mirrors 04-26-2017 06:09 PM

Hehe, well... about forty that I actually tried and liked enough so I will cook them again. The stack of recipes I'm definitely going to try one day.. well, let's not talk about that one XD

Kaderin Triste 04-26-2017 06:10 PM

Haha...yeah. Too many good sounding recipes out there.

mdom 04-26-2017 07:40 PM

/hides in shame for not cooking

Fulkth 04-27-2017 12:35 AM

No worries. I rarely cook either. Although I am planning on making some strawberry pretzel salad once I get my hands on some strawberries!

Kaderin Triste 04-27-2017 12:48 AM

Yum strawberry pretzel salad is good!

And yeah. Nothing wrong with not cooking.

Fulkth 04-27-2017 01:05 AM

Speaking of food, I should probably clean out the fridge tomorrow.
I've got some sour cream and collard greens that need to be thrown away.

Death by Mirrors 04-27-2017 05:47 AM

Strawberry pretzel salad? Is that what it sounds?
Salad... with strawberries? And pretzels?

Kaderin Triste 04-27-2017 03:04 PM

Haha. No.
It's a layered dessert salad.
The bottom is a crust made of pretzel pieces, butter, and sugar. Then a layer of a cream cheese and whipped cream mixture. And lastly, it is topped with strawberry jello with strawberries in it.

Death by Mirrors 04-27-2017 04:48 PM

Ah, nice! I probably would call that something else than a salad, but it definitely sounds delicious.

Kaderin Triste 04-27-2017 04:59 PM

It is pretty tasty. I want to find something better/different than the jello topping though. I really don't like jello anymore.

Fulkth 04-27-2017 09:45 PM

I've been wanting to make this blueberry dessert that seems like a better version of a cake that I like to make.

Kaderin Triste 04-27-2017 10:51 PM

I bet it's pretty good. I am kind of a "cheesecake snob" and don't consider no bake cheesecakes to be true cheesecakes. But it would make for a good summer dessert for sure!

daikokunyo 04-28-2017 12:17 AM

Cheesecakes are my favourite dessert of ever. The classic kind with whipped cream and salty caramel sauce.

I like lemon tarts second best and creme brulee third best.

Kaderin Triste 04-28-2017 12:21 AM

I generally make myself a cheesecake for my birthday (because I am a sad loser with no rl friends to celebrate with). Last year it was a peanut butter and chocolate one with a pretzel crust. This year I'm thinking I may do a lemon one.

daikokunyo 04-28-2017 12:25 AM

DOBBY'S SOCKS THAT'S AWESOME.

You could always invite me for your next one xP I'd swim the sea to your continent gladly Dx

Kaderin Triste 04-28-2017 12:28 AM

Well...you have about a month and a half until my next birthday comes around.
Better get swimming! Lol

daikokunyo 04-28-2017 12:29 AM

o u o gotta increase efficiency
*turns into a mermaid*

Kaderin Triste 04-28-2017 12:32 AM

I gotta start making my birthday grocery list...because I will change my mind a dozen times between now and then if I don't.

daikokunyo 04-28-2017 12:37 AM

But if you make a list it kind of makes it official and you won't feel like changing it so much? :u

Kaderin Triste 04-28-2017 12:39 AM

In theory, that's exactly right!
I just have to stick the list somewhere I will see it so I don't misplace it.

daikokunyo 04-28-2017 12:44 AM

Tack it on your refrigerator with a fridge magnet o u o

Kaderin Triste 04-28-2017 12:49 AM

That might work. Gotta start digging through recipes tomorrow and decide what I want/need to get.

daikokunyo 04-28-2017 12:56 AM

So which options are you debating over?

Kaderin Triste 04-28-2017 12:59 AM

Well, for sure I will do the lemon cheesecake. But not sure what I will make myself for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

daikokunyo 04-28-2017 01:05 AM

Make yourself a feast for each xD so that you don't have to go through the trouble of narrowing down Dx

Kaderin Triste 04-28-2017 01:08 AM

Lol. It's kind of hard for me to make a feast in my tiny kitchen.
Might do some sort of pancake or french toast variation for breakfast with some fruit and a smoothie. Lunch and dinner probably something that can be prepped the night before. Maybe some veggie kabobs for dinner...

daikokunyo 04-28-2017 01:08 AM

Both pancakes and Fench Toast are PERF

Kaderin Triste 04-28-2017 01:12 AM

Raspberry pancakes with white chocolate chips!

daikokunyo 04-28-2017 01:50 AM

THAT'S EVEN MORE PERF THAN PERF

*drools*

*cries*

Kaderin Triste 04-28-2017 01:58 AM

I make the best breakfast foods!
XD

daikokunyo 04-28-2017 02:22 AM

You have the best ways to start a day! :3

Kaderin Triste 04-28-2017 02:24 AM

Unfortunately, I seldom have time for more than a yogurt cup most days.
