House is majority republican and the Senate is majority democrat now.

But I think before both were democrat controlled and still nothing was getting done lol.

And if Republicans were a majority...how did Obama win? But it doesn't matter.

I voted for one presidential election. Most other things I voted for only had one person runing.

Obbiesan 10-28-2011 12:22 PM

*rolls in* yay for shitty dreams

I thought you meant the people. But it was a difficult voting because there were some states were swinging. Even some Republicans voted for Obama. I remember nearly 90% of my High School voted for Obama only because he's black.

I didn't vote (I was the only kid that didn't vote in the class of 09) because I wasn't old enough, I was in my senior yer but I was 17 at the time throughout my senior year

Yokuutsu 10-28-2011 12:28 PM

Nah....I was talking Congress, but either works lol

That voting for Obama because he's black (or the I'm not racist thing) pisses me off. Some people didn't even know Palin wasn't his vice president candidate person when he was running. Which is why billboards in some places say stuff like-You voted for Obama so you wouldn't be racist, vote against him now to prove you're not an idiot.

Or something to that effect. >_<

I was 17 in my senior year too, but that was back in 07.

Lost_Ninja9213 10-28-2011 12:31 PM

i was a Freshman that year, definitely couldnt vote..and i mean the people who just want you to hear their voice and dont try to understand others XP im in the middle, if I weren't pro-life I might be Democrat? i dont know enough about politics to know.

Yokuutsu 10-28-2011 12:33 PM

That's why I couldn't vote for Obama...the way it seemed...he say abortion just like taking the pill. Which...no. I think you should definitely have a choice in cases of rape and health issues...other than that....I'm not going to condemn someone for doing it, but it doesn't mean I'm going to be happy about it.

Especially when you kill a pregnant lady-it counts as two murders, but an abortion isn't murder? That doesn't make sense to me.

I remember Obama and McCain in a way used women as a tool to get the women voters on their sides (such as Martha Stewart and Sarah Palin)

Yokuutsu 10-28-2011 12:35 PM

Eh....I don't pay as much attention to the vice presidential candidates.

I like the old system-whoever came in second was vice president. More checks and balances there.

Zenella 10-28-2011 02:06 PM

I love Obama <3 I don't really pay much attention to all that stuff, and I don't vote yet, but I support Obama. I mean, all presidents have such a burden to bear trying to run a country and then Congress pretty much has the say so, but everyone always criticizes the president. Anyways, I prefer not to get all into political stuff and just stay here, do my little part in the world and hope things will get better. xD

Yokuutsu 10-28-2011 02:08 PM

I don't like him because he promised so much when he should've known he couldn't do it. He doesn't have the power. Congress does. And his stance on abortion. -shrugs-

Zenella 10-28-2011 02:12 PM

Yeah, I don't really like that either, but I think he really is trying and that's what counts to me. Ah, is it pro-choice or pro-life? Personally, I'm more in the middle because there are certain circumstances where I think it would be best...but then if I had to absolutely choose, it'd definitely be pro-life.

Obbiesan 10-28-2011 02:13 PM

im with zenella normally I just do my part to help better the worlds >w<

Zenella 10-28-2011 02:15 PM

@Obbie: I wish more people would kinda do that, but they don't realize that even the smallest things can help the world. I can see why, though. The world's so huge and they're so small, it's hard not to feel helpless. Oh well xD

Babblebug today XD

Yokuutsu 10-28-2011 02:19 PM

He's prochoice, but the way I see what he's saying is...use it like you would a birth control pill. No. Killing a pregnant woman is charged as two murders, and a mother murdering her child is charged, but just because it isn't born yet, the mother can decide to kill it for 200 dollars or less.

I'm against abortion in most cases-rape and health being the exceptions. Though I'm not going to say shit like you're going to hell or anything for it...I just won't like your decision. -rant rant rant-

Obbiesan 10-28-2011 02:31 PM

@zenell yea its hard but I try

and im a pretty talky when im emotionally needy like now =w=

Zenella 10-28-2011 02:33 PM

@Yoku: Yeah, I agree. Those are the exceptions for me as well. I guess the way people see it is the mother has to choose for the baby since the baby can't choose for itself :/ Yeah, people will make their decisions no matter what and we just have to deal with it I suppose lol

@Obbie: Yeah, same here. xD

Obbiesan 10-28-2011 02:43 PM

@zen >w< lol I feel im too talky some times lol

Zenella 10-28-2011 02:44 PM

@Obbie: Me too, especially in person. I think that's why my mom dreads talking to me now ;w;

Yokuutsu 10-28-2011 02:49 PM

@Zenella
Maybe the baby wants to live, but can't communicate the "B*TCH DON'T KILL ME!" where we understand.

Zenella 10-28-2011 02:56 PM

@Yoku: If that were able to happen though, I think it might cause more harm than good xD

Gah...I really had to use the bathroom and I shouldn't have said it out loud cause while I was trying to get up, my sister went in there. So now I have to wait til the urge comes again or else I won't be able to go >w< So ticked right now.

oh yea I remember that it was called "defining a human being" My school did that and made me pick going for the bill even though I wanted to go against it.

My sister had an abortion at 17 cause she couldn't handle the morning sickness.

Yokuutsu 10-28-2011 03:11 PM

@Zenella
I need to pee too....I just don't wanna get up, but I shall after I post this!

@Echo
Hell, the I can't afford a baby is a better reason than that (even though babies can be given up for adoption...not a perfect choice either -sigh-)And what do you mean not handle? Do you mean like it was making her unhealthy...like losing weight and stuff? (Because if it's that....I might not want to smack her) OR is it the I don't like getting sick thing....the whining thing?

The second one...makes me angry a bit. There's another way to prevent it. Close the legs -.-

it was too intense for her, but the environment she was living with her boyfriend that screwed it up. It's a whining bitching thing and my mom flipped at the fact that was the only reason for an abortion was because the morning sickness was too much for her.

Yokuutsu 10-28-2011 03:29 PM

@Echo
Well, I can understand your mother flipping out on her. I might've too if I had been the mother. Though that probably didn't help her any .-.

At 17...and living with her boyfriend? Am I the only one who watches Steve Wilkos? Hopefully she learned from it though.

actually she did, he help my sister get an abortion. then two years later my sister got pregnant again from a different guy she met while they were high on pot.

My dad thinks that my life is a micron away from a Jerry Springer episode.

Yokuutsu 10-28-2011 03:45 PM

I don't blame your dad. Your sister is almost a Jerry Springer episode. Now if you just date the same guy, we've definitely have an episode. (I'm halfway joking btw)

Echo-chan713 10-28-2011 03:52 PM

I don't even want to date them because their so stupid and don't know how to use a condom

Yokuutsu 10-28-2011 03:56 PM

Good. Condoms, birth control, spermicide, etc are your friends :3

Unless you want a baby.

femme gauche 10-28-2011 03:56 PM

Yeah though people can be stupid and get them for what seem to be silly reasons I think abortions should still be allowed whatever the reason in early term pregnancies ... later on I would think the main reasons would be related to the health of the fetus or safety of the mother...

Yokuutsu 10-28-2011 03:58 PM

See, the only reason I am against that is due to other laws. Either the fetus isn't a person and doesn't count in ALL circumstances or NONE.

If you kill a pregnant lady, it's counted as two murders, so why shouldn't an abortion be counted as murder? So something needs to be changed. Either abortion is murder too...or killing a pregnant lady is only one murder.

it made me laugh when she said that condoms break easily XD

I use condoms and I've never once had it break.

Yokuutsu 10-28-2011 04:00 PM

Apparently they were using shitty or too small condoms.

Echo-chan713 10-28-2011 04:01 PM

I think the latter cause I can't really find shitty condoms.

Or doesn't apply it properly

Well I think it should be up to the pregnant lady, and it should make a difference in the murder count whether she was "showing" or not. In other words if I am pregnant it is up to me how I count the fetus.

Echo-chan713 10-28-2011 05:12 PM

or even the crime rates would go down if abortion is legal. So that way there aren't as much unwanted babies in the world so it can help with the 7 billion people population.

femme gauche 10-28-2011 05:13 PM

Well yes there is that, although legality and social acceptance are two different things. Still, it is something that went unregulated that people did for centuries prior to being banned and regulated, and there were many herbs, etc., which people used among other things. People do NOT need to have babies all the time. It is self destructive of us as a species to continue to reproduce at our current rates.

Echo-chan713 10-28-2011 05:15 PM

as well as it can affect the female body if they are continuously reproducing, especially the strain on the vagina

Yokuutsu 10-28-2011 06:49 PM

I'm not commenting on whether abortion should be legal or not, but if a woman can kill the fetus inside of her with no legal repurcussions...then a man should be able to kill a pregnant woman without being charged for two murders.

I'm saying things need to be equaled out. Either killing the fetus is murder in all situations....or none.

And it can also affect the human body to have abortion after abortion.

Obbiesan 10-28-2011 06:58 PM

*facefloors* can I punch my grandmother

Echo-chan713 10-28-2011 06:58 PM

my question with the law is would the mother get charged for mother if she miscarried the baby or had to abort it because the pregnancy could kill the mom?

Why do you want to punch your grandma Brother?
