Unable to really sleep, Chloe logs on her labtop and within a few minutes, has gained direct access to the police profiles. Scanning the files, Chloe is able to locate the police officer in question profile and narrowing her eyes, she scans the profile before sitting back, resting her chin on two fingers, Why does that woman have interest in this guy? she wonders, before typing Makoto's name into the directory to find no files, So she's not an officer. Could she be one of the skull hunters? If she is, how could Jayden be so stupid bringing her back here? Chloe recalls Roland's profile, noting his address and hits the print button, Maybe I should pay him a visit and see if he knows anything about what's been going on.
Shutting down the labtop, Chloe walks over to the printer and collects the information that printed off, tearing off the section that included the address. If the woman wanted the information than fine, but there was no hell way Chloe would provide the guy's address, she didn't want anyone's blood on her hands.
Slipping on a pair of old clothes, she leaves the rest of the pages on the kitchen table for Jayden. Checking to make sure she had her sais still in her boots, she unlocks the front door and slips out into the night, the small torn piece of paper in her pocket. She sure hoped this officer was a morning person.

Roland fumbled around on his bed looking for his glasses. Only until he knocked over the lamp that was on his side table did he find them. He slipped his glasses on and took a moment for his eyes to adjust. After some time he got to his feet and started to walk up the stairs in his shorts, stretching as he went.

When he got to the floor above his room he grumbled and scratched his the top of his head and yawned. Without his bandanna on, Roland's hair was shaggy mess. Roland made his way into the kitchen and pulled out two iced coffees from inside the refrigerator then walked over to the couch were he saw Maki still sleeping. He took one of the iced coffees and placed it against her cheek. "Oi... Wake up."

"Captain sex hair?" Roland grumbled as he walked around the couch. "Its just time to get up..." He popped down on the couch next to Maki and held out one of the iced coffees to her. "Its better if you leave early when there isn't a lot of people out. I'd rather not give people the chance to make any weird assumptions."

She grumbled under her breath about being woken up early, but accepted the coffee graciously. "Yeah yeah. I'll be out of your messy hair in a bit. I just gotta get my thoughts together. Thanks for putting up with me, though," she said as she sipped her cold drink. Today she would round up what was left of the Flame Skulls and decide on a course of action. The destruction of the base yesterday had been a powerful blow to them.

Roland looked over at Maki as he brought his drink up to his lips. "Its better if you don't gather them..." After taking a drink he took lowered his drink. "I've noticed something after the explosion." Roland leaned back and rested his head on the back of the couch. "I'm pretty sure the ones behind the explosion were the hunters... Or at least someone being backed by them." He sighed and took another drink from his iced coffee. "And when I started to think about everything and the state of your old base and how the whole faction was located in one spot I got an idea. What if the reason for the explosion wasn't to frame the skulls but to have each faction gather up all their members in one place." Roland sat up and looked at Maki. "Its only a theory but... It would make capturing skulls easier if you were all in one place."

After watching the sun rise from a disclosed location, -pays to know what houses where still empty in the area- Chloe pulls out the piece of crumbled paper and checks to make sure she has the right address before going up to the door, glancing around to make sure no one else around -most people didn't surface in the area unless you worked an early shift- and pounded on the door.

A burning sensation on Makoto's back woke her. The wound on her back throbbed as she shifted her position on the bed. She got up slowly, and gently rubbed her back. Shit. I have to use the pain medicine on my back after I shower... Makoto got out of bed and took a shower. She took some painkillers and massaged the ointment on her back, and wrapped a bandage around her body. She put on a sleeveless shirt and cargo pants, and left her room.

Makoto walked into her kitchen, and sighed at the lack of cooking materials. She turned on the oven, and attempted to make breakfast with the limited amount of materials she had.

Roland nodded and stood up. He pointed down the hallway pass the kitchen. "Just head down there and when you get the end just pull down the painting hanging on the wall there and it will open. Just don't tell anyone its there." Roland heard a knock on his front door and turned his attention towards it. "You better get going. I'm not sure who that is and I'd rather you not be here just in case."

Roland walked towards the front door slowly giving Maki some extra time to leave. He gripped the handle of the door and opened and with a sigh. When he opened the door he saw a young girl standing in front of him. "... Hrm..." He scratched his bare chest mumbled slightly. "Who are you?"

After an hour of cooking, Makoto ate her tamagoyaki with steamed rice, and drank down her coffee. She put the leftovers in the fridge and put on her shoulder holster. She checked her handgun's ammo clip, reloaded her gun, and holstered it with three extra clips on the ammo pouches. She threw on her jacket, grabbed a sling bag and put on her boots. She left her apartment, and headed to Jayden and Chloe's apartment.

Chloe narrows her eyes at Roland when he answers the door, trying to not pay attention that he was in boxers and nothing else, "My name is not your concern, Officer Roland. Let's say I know about you through two mutual contacts, one being a fellow officer and leave the introductions at that. I am only here cause one of those contacts want to know quite a bit about you and I want to know why. And I also want to know if you know anything about her."

The alarm buzzing in his ear woke Jayden up that he ended up falling out of bed. With a groan, he slams down the snooze button and treks down the hallway into the kitchen, finding one of the bowls with milk curdling {seemed King Kong didn't wash his dishes either} and a small pile of papers sitting neatly to the side. Opening up the fridge, Jayden plucks the last two eggs out and drags the frying pan from the cabinet. After cracking both eggs and leaving them to fry, Jayden picks up the pages and shifts through them, noticing a small section had been torn from one of the pages, most likely the address. Sitting the papers back down, he returns back to his breakfast.

Roland leaned against the door way. "Oh the mysterious act." He smirked. "What next? Are you going to talk in riddles too?" Shrugging he motioned the girl to come inside. "Well I wont tell you anything out her nor will I tell you anything without knowing your name."

Chloe raises an eyebrow, "I'm not a damn sphinx you know," she retorts in a cool tone before stepping inside and crossing her arms, "and fine, I know your name so it would be just as proper for you to know mine, it's Chloe."

Roland laughed as he let Chloe into his home. "Oh you have no sense of humor." Closing the door behind Chloe, Roland led her towards the living room. "So who is this person who wants to know more about me? Do you have a picture or something?"

Makoto passed by the electronics store, and turned the corner to reach Jayden's apartment. She walked up to the porch and lightly knocked on the door.

"Hey, Jayden. It's me. Open up." Makoto took a small step back, and waited for someone to open the door. Hmm. I wonder if he's still sleeping. Don't police officers wake up early for work?

"Sometimes it doesn't pay to have a sense of humor," Chloe replies drily, following Roland, "And no, I don't. The name I have been given is Makoto, I don't know if that is her real name or not. Through I can give you a description of her if needed."

Jayden had just put the eggs on a plate when he heard what sounded like a light knock and someone calling. Sitting down the plate on the counter before dumping the other bowl into the sink, he hurries down the hallway and unlocks the door. Pulling it open, he sees Makoto there, "Good morning," he greets, "Caught me in the middle of trying to make breakfast. Would you want something to eat as well?"

The front door opened, and Makoto was greeted by Jayden. "No thanks, I ate before I got here." She walked into the apartment and took off her boots. As she placed her boots at the doorway, she noticed a missing pair of shoes. "I'm guessing Chloe went out? Did she get what I need?"

Jayden glances down at the shoes in the hallway, "Looks like she went out but just cause her shoes aren't there doesn't mean she's isn't home. Sometimes she takes her shoes into the bedroom. I found some information on the kitchen table, didn't read it." he walks back into the kitchen to find Avalon had swiped his eggs, "Oi!"
"There isn't nothing left but that nasty black pudding crap you eat," she protests, sliding into a chair, "And knowing Mr. Hairy, he's probably slobbered all in the milk so cereal was out of the question. I suspect he probably has rabies."
Jayden just sighs and shakes his head, plucking the papers from the table to hand to Makoto.

Makoto scanned through the first page of the packet of paper Jayden handed her. Hmm... it's something, that's for sure. It's better than investigating without a lead. She opened her bag and slipped it into a manilla folder, and put the folder back into the bag. "Thanks for cooperating with me. I'll return the favor when you or Chloe get yourselves in a bind. Just use that device I gave you to contact me."

Makoto turned around, and stepped out of Jayden's apartment.

"Yea, no problem." Jayden replies, going to the door and leaning against it, "Hope that information is what you need."
Avalon having finished her breakfast, comes up behind Jayden and scowls, "Why not just ask her to marry you if she's going to start being a regular fixture here?" Avalon grabs her schoolbag and hurries along to the nearest bus station to catch the bus to school.

Makoto turned her head to the side, and replied. "It'll be enough. I just need the basics." She also replied to Avalon's comment. "Sorry, I'm not interested in him. Go ahead and take him if you want."

Makoto walked off and headed towards her apartment.

Roland pointed to the couch. "Go ahead and sit down. I'm going to go change. Oh and... Sorry about the mess." Roland walked down the stairs to his room and quickly changed into his suit. He walked back up the stairs as he tied his bandanna around his head, taming his shaggy hair. "So you said her name was Makoto?" He pondered the name for a moment. "It sounds familiar but not enough to place it to a face."

Avalon, catching Makoto's comment, turns and glares at her before climbing on to the bus.

Jayden shakes his head as he closed the door and went back into the kitchen, dumping the pan into the sink. Hurrying to his bedroom, he gets himself ready to go to the office, checking his pride and joy to make sure she had bullets in her before slipping her into the holster.

Chloe makes a face at the mess and pushes some away to have a seat on the couch while Roland gets dressed.
"Hm, well she never mentioned exactly but she said you had given her a few problems lately and there's only been a few events that have occurred in the past few days." Chloe says upon Roland's return, "So most likely, you and her had to have a run in and not a pleasant one at that." She glances at Roland's bandanna choice, "Interesting choice of bandana style, I can see why she thinks you might be sketchy. If I didn't know for an actual fact you were a really one of the police officers, I would think you were a skull."

Roland sat down across from Chloe and smirked. "Its just something to keep my hair out of my eyes." He crossed his arms across his chest and started to think. "Someone I've had a run in with huh? Well there has been a few people. I'd need a bit more detail then that. You said you had a description of her?

Chloe raises an eyebrow, her lips twisted in an amused way, "When you say a few people, should I expect to see quite a few women with torches and pitchforks assembling outside?" Chloe leans back against the back of the couch, her expression back to being serious, "and yes, I have a description of her."
Chloe than describes Makoto to Roland and waits for a reply.

Makoto walked along the street, and sat down on a bus stop bench. She took out the manila folder, and looked at the information on the bandanna-wearing officer.

Let's see what she found... Roland. No last name? Thirty-six years old... Makoto continued to read the document, and noticed part of it was torn off at the address line, along with other personal information. The rest of the document recorded Roland's activities in the Tokyo Police Academy, and his milestones in the force.

Makoto placed the folder into her bag and pinched the bridge of her nose. The missing chunk of information irritated her. Either Jayden or Chloe could've ripped that part of the document out...I guess I was expecting too much. Either way, I should be careful with them.

Roland, huh? It's better than calling you 'Bandanna-wearing-officer', I guess.

"Oh?" Roland leaned on the arm of the chair he was sitting in and rested his chin on his hand. He smiled a bit devilishly. "So that's who wants information on me." For a moment Roland was silent as he looked over Chloe. "I take it your a skull and most likely one of the tech skulls." The devilish smile upon Roland's face seemed to drift more and more unsettling. "Now I'm a little curious. Why would a tech skull willingly come to a police officers home to gather information for a hunter?" Suddenly Roland's smile shifted to simply childish. "Ah well I'm on paid suspension for a few weeks anyway so I wont interfere in anything either of you do so its not important." Roland reached into his chest pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper. "This is the fax I got this morning about my suspension. Apparently a police officer harming hunters is slightly frowned upon..." He sighed and flicked the piece of paper to Chloe. "Give that to 'little miss hunter' if you want. As for any other information on me? Well I really have no reason to give you any."

Chloe smirks, her eyes cold as she picks up the sheet of the paper Roland flicked at her, "So she is a hunter. And who said I was willingly gather information for her in the first place? FIY, she doesn't know I came here, this little visit is purely for my information, anything said here won't leave past that door," she tosses the crumbled piece of paper she had at Roland, "And to answer your question, yes, your right, I am a tech skull. Just be glad I am not one of those who crave to see blood shed so you don't have to worry about her turning up at your doorstep, that has your address and some other personal information in it, all she has is your name and some past history involving your career. And I doubt our paths would cross again after this anyway so knowing if your on active duty or not is no interest of mine." she narrows her eyes, "And why in the hell would an officer kill hunters? Unless," her eyes narrow a bit more, "your connected to other skull factions than one would first think."

Roland laughed. "I'm not worried about something as trivial as being attacked in my own home." He sat forward in his seat. "But knowing she is a hunter or at least with a suspicion of what she was you interacted with her. Did you ever think of what would happen if she found out what you were?" He sighed as he stood up. "I have no obligation to any faction of skulls. I'm just a simple police officer. What I did to the hunters was simple self defense nothing more." Roland pulled out a cigarette from his pants pocket and placed it between his lips.

"I see," Chloe replies, watching Roland, "She looked like any normal woman when I first saw her, I honestly thought she was a fellow police officer, it wasn't till I checked the records that the thought of her being a hunter crossed my mind. And my interaction wasn't just me and her, there happened to another officer involved, a co-worker of yours most likely," Chloe pauses, closing her eyes for a second before reopening them, "IF she should figure out, as you kindly put it, what I am or if she comes a threat toward me or my sister, than I shall cross that bridge. I don't think one hunter is enough to be worried about, not with all the stuff that has been going on in the news lately."

Roland lit his cigarette. "Seems like you're underestimating the hunters. They wont come at you directly. They'll wait for you to be alone or use your sister to lure you in." He inhaled deeply then exhaled. "If they find out who you are they'll most likely go for your sister when she goes out." He shrugged then shook his head knowing he said a bit to much. "Either way I'm hungry and I'm heading out. Just do what you want and try not to involve me. I want to enjoy my vacation."

Chloe stands up, her eyes an icy tone with her voice to match, "I might be underestimating the hunters but than you could be underestimating me as well, officer. All you know about me is a first name which could easily not be my real name and that I am a tech skull. Not really the best information to go about finding out who I am, is it?" she starts up the hall toward the front door before stopping, "And I have no interest involving you, as far as I am concerned, our business with each other is done, enjoy your vacation."
Chloe lets herself out and pausing only to make sure the coast is the clear, she heads toward town to pick up a new cell phone. After that, she was to call the school and have them keep Avalon there till either her or Jayden picked her up cause if she could suspect and find out that Makoto was a hunter, than it couldn't be all that hard for Makoto to suspect and confirm she was a skull.. and Makoto knew about Avalon.
"God damn you, Jayden!" Chloe growls through gritted teeth, closing her fist and slamming it into the closest man made structure nearby, not caring that the action caused blood which dripped from the tiny cuts, splattering the pavement or attention from citizens in the street, "Of all the people you had to bring to our flat, it had to be a damn Skull Hunter."

Roland blinked as Chloe dashed out of his house. "Well... At least she realized she had her priorities mixed up." He said to himself as he walked to the front door. As he reached for the doorknob, Roland noticed Maki's boots. Moving his hand away from the knob and grabbing Maki's boots. "Well I did make her leave in a rush..." He sighed then walked out with her boots in hand.

Not knowing what else to do and lacking any lead on Roland, or the other Skull Gang locations, Makoto decided to finally visit the Skull Headquarters. She waved down an approaching taxi, and stepped into the back seat.

"Take me to the Skull Headquarters, please." Makoto asked in a quiet, polite tone.
"Wh-wh-what?! Why do you want to go there? The taxi driver started to panic.
Makoto leaned in towards the driver seat, and handed the driver a roll of money, more than enough to cover the trip to the Headquarters. "You know where it is, right?" The driver stayed quiet for a few seconds.
"...Okay, fine. I'll take you there."

The taxi began to move, and Makoto smiled as she leaned back on the seat. "Thank you, sir."

After leaving the flat, Jayden stopped at a cafe near town to pick up some breakfast to go, he would eat it at the office. Smiling at the waitress who sat his take away on the counter, he leaves the cafe and puts his sunglasses on. Walking briskly, he heads toward the Police HQ..

Finally the pain shocked Chloe back into thinking straight. Drawing her hand back from the structure she had vented her anger on, blood running down and dripping onto her clothes and the pavement, Chloe notes none of the cuts actually are that deep. Taking a deep breath, Chloe realizes she has no options, it wasn't safe to keep Avalon with her no more.
Not caring what the people around her were whispering as well as a few offers to help stop the bleeding or take her to hospital to get the cuts looked at, Chloe hurries to the first shop that sells cell phones, picking out the closest phone similar to her old one.
Walking away from the store, the clerk had charged the phone to about half way while they were closing the sale, Chloe punches in the digits of the only family she knew that was still around, an Uncle who lived back in America. After making arrangements for Avalon to stay with him till things calmed down, Chloe calls the airport to book the next plane that would leave for where her Uncle lived at than calls the school to let them know she is coming to pick Avalon up after lunch. Chloe heads back toward the flat to pack the main things that she knew Avalon would need to take with her, it would be one of the hardest decisions she had ever made but that officer had been right, Avalon would be the easiest way for the hunters to set a trap up for her and right now, Chloe cared more about keeping her little sister safe than her own safety.

HAYATE

With a shocked yelp, Hayate tripped over the root of a tree and went bowling straight into...Maki.

Oh great.

He stood up and brushed himself off, carefully avoiding the bandaged areas. "Erm. I suppose I should mention that the previous owner of my sandals is about ten seconds away. I'm also hoping he doesn't have the guts to run into a forest. But in the off-chance he does, I don't feel like being in sight, so..."

Hayate took a mock bow towards Maki and took off again past here the way she'd come.

The taxi drove over a suspension bridge connecting Old Tokyo and New Tokyo. Makoto looked out the window, and watched her surroundings slowly become surrounded by a concrete and glass jungle. She entered the business district, and watched mobs of people in suits walking along the sidewalks, hailing cabs, and entering buses to follow their usual morning schedules.

Makoto's taxi stopped in front of the Skull Hunter Headquarters. She stepped out of the back seat, and a salaryman entered the same taxi, hurrying the driver to get to his destination. Makoto watched the taxi drive away, and watched several cars drive past her before turning around to walk towards the entrance of the headquarters.
