It says "Mew ~ M"

M usually stands for Male. It already says mew in it, there's no reason to stick a random "m" in there.

Welcome to the thread, Alexander! Since you joined in Beta, you may pick any legendary you want.

Yes, Legendaries are normally genderless, but I prefer to give mine a set gender. The legendaries still are not allowed to breed in the thread, so it really does not matter if they have one or not.
