Nice. Though I'd probably just end up going to an Asian supermarket instead since they're SO much cheaper there. >w> It's like around a dollar or less for a small box. >w> *loves Asian supermarkets* <3 I love these Filipino snacks called hobia. THEY'RE SO FRICKIN AMAZING!!! I LOVE THEM. <3 Quote:

It does taste like drinking candy. If that doesn't sound appealing, stay away.
|
I made the mistake of mixing cake vodka, cookie batter vodka, peppermint liquor, and vanilla liquor together without anything non-alcoholic. Taste bud death.
|
That... definitely sounds like just a confusing mess of flavors on the tongue.
|
I wasn't thinking when I made it, you know >.>
|
You'd had too much of the individual flavors before mixing it? :P
|
my sister has been drinking peach schnapps lately, it actually takes like peaches >.>
|
Espy you're still not old enough to drink. :U You may as well be 14.
|
Hey, it's college. Go easy on her.
Also, nice cosplay Espy. |
@Coda: Nah, I had two bottles of Mike's >.> And then about a third of a cup of my own Madras concoction.
@Lucid: ...Shhh. @Alpha: YYYESSSSSSS. YOU NOTICED. |
That I did. I contemplated trying to make one.....got distracted. Also, beat it....at least the main story. Now to go back and get 100% sync.
|
I've spent too much of my weekend playing AC2...now I seriously need to do homework and study for my Physics exam...which is tomorrow morning.

I'm pretty sure he is...Should be this.
http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m5...s5qmo1_500.jpg ...That reminds me, I saw some Pinnacle yesterday; don't remember what flavor. |
Espy: Yeah, I've done that as well.....would have been playing more games this weekend, but cleaning to do, and also had work.

That's the one, Espy. Same brand, too.
I tried making gummy BEAR flavored vodka once by infusing gummy candy... and inadvertently made jello shots instead. Oops. |
I wonder what'd happen if you chucked jello mix into vodka and water.
|
That might be something interesting for sure.....
|
If the vodka is freezer temperature, I'm pretty sure you'd end up with jello shots that way too.
|
Would you just get jello shots then? owo
All jello mix needs to set is some liquid for it to dissolve in and some time in the fridge. Edit: Whoops, too slow. >w> |
Actually, I shouldn't even be thinking about this, should I XD
|
Technically.......no. But college is a different experience.

I'm lucky -- I actually don't know what my alcohol tolerance is. I know it's absurdly high, because the one time I decided to INTENTIONALLY get drunk just so I'd know what it was like I ended up having to push myself past "I'm not interested in drinking any more" with about half a bottle of rum. (And then I was just loud and uncoordinated. I'm a boring drunk.) Under normal circumstances I know that I can drink a six-pack of Mike's and not even get buzzed. As a result, I have no INTEREST in drinking a six-pack of Mike's, and so my alcohol consumption is very moderate. If it doesn't taste good, I don't want it, and I have no other reason to want to drink it. My body's own reactions keep me from abusing alcohol.
As a result, my drinking habits end up being about one shot of flavored vodka or one glass of wine no more than four times per week. (I should really drink more wine and less vodka; I drink at the perfect level to be able to enjoy the health benefits of red wine without the liver problems of heavy alcohol consumption.) (I still don't drive if I've had a drink, because I'm fully aware of the possibility that I'm actually not aware of my own level of impairment, and I just play it safe. My reaction time is bad enough NORMALLY that I'm not about to put myself in charge of a metric ton of steel and fiberglass if there's anything that might interfere.) Disclaimer: I'm older than all y'all. >.> |
Friends of mine make gummy candy infused with Vodka all the time. They use gummy berry things.
I don't see how not being of age stops someone from holding a drink. If it were, there wouldn't be need for ID checks. I do wonder how many Americans get it in their heads to hop the border on their 18 and 19th birthdays. Out west anyway. Some provinces out east are still 21 I think. I guess that would be either border since I'm not sure what the age in Mexico is. I rarely drink because I'm not fond of the sensation of alcohol really. There are maybe 2 beers I will drink and that's rare. I tend to get sleepy, or really, really mellow. And apparently I slur a bit. Found that out when I was having mixed drinks and belatedly realized that I was the only one at the gin bottle which was 1/4 empty. I'm a lightweight. Still end up sleep though. |
The age in Mexico is 16 I think....may be 18, but they are definitely less strict on it down in Mexico.
And jolly rancher vodka and skittles vodka is good from what I've heard (candies infused into normal vodka). |
My understanding is that most of Europe has low drinking age or no age limits, because (at least before American culture started taking over international media) they don't generally have the cultural concept of getting drunk for fun. Then again, American party culture has brought that problem to Europe recently from what I hear, so... blah.
Edit: Hard candies and Skittles work well for infusions, from what I've heard. Gummy candy not so much; I guess the gelatin repolymerizes in solution and you just get a bigger (now-alcoholic) gummy. |
Not sure which provinces out east you're referring to, Quiet, but Ontario's drinking age is at 19 and I know Québec's is 18. :3
Not sure what Manitoba or Saskatchewan is, but Nexy and Pinkie live there so ask them. >w> And I don't know about Alberta, the Atlantic provinces or the Territories at all. XP |
Why are all our writers Canadian?
|
Well.....Suze isn't......and Espy isn't (granted, she is an artist now).
|
Pinkie's not a writer. >w> Bels isn't Canadian. And neither is Suze. (Though technically he's an administrator if we're going by colour.) >w>

I think my case of tripping-over-the-shoe-pile on my way to the bathroom yesterday night might've been from alcohol uncoordinated-ness. I actually was planning on only having a max of two Mike's yesterday; that goal didn't last long. My friend had the equivalent of nine drinks...and it was his first time seriously drinking (like me)...
"...Gengar, I can smell the alcohol on your breath." (Yes, his nickname is Gengar. Long story.) "Oh. Oh SHIT. Seriously? Wait, Espy, are you serious?" "...Yes. I don't think you want to go back to Schlag right now." (That's his dorm.) "...Oh fuck. I'm not that drunk, am I? ...Anyways, can I give you a hug?" "...Yes, you're drunk. Drunkenness confirmed." |
Oh wow.....you know I can honestly say I've never had that experience. I have a high tolerance for alcohol, and I've only come close to it once.
|
Oops, I may have meant Atlantic provinces then, Ari. It's all east to me! I think one or two of them it's 21 but that may have changed. In Alberta it's 18, out here in BC it's 19.
Yeah, the binge drinking that goes on out here isn't as common in Europe, but also in Europe people don't fuss over someone having a drink over lunch, while here that might get you sent home from your job. |
Given my size, I can't match any of my friends in terms of holding my drinks. Proportionally, I'm not sure. Yesterday was my first time actually drinking, and I didn't want to make my RA suspicious.
|
Hooray for quad living!
I was in third year when I went to uni so I could apply for living in the Towers which was set up in quads (misnomer. There were six rooms per common area). We had RA's but it was mostly don't do stupid things like set off fireworks from your common room balcony (those were the guys in the tower across from us). Booze didn't matter as long as you didn't harass other people and kept to the quiet hours labeled. |

Europeans are so chill. They drink when they want, but at the same time don't get too drunk and they seem to have fairly high tolerances. >w> |
drinking age is 18 in Australia :P
