I like snow with very large exceptions. Snow is fun to go visit, play around in, and oggle at. No driving. No getting places. No shoveling out walks. See it, play with it, and then go back home where there isn't snow.

If there is ever snow on the ground here, I will be concerned that the world is coming to an end. I live in Orlando, Florida. |
Yeah....if I remember it has only officially "snowed" in Florida one time? Maybe two?
|
Aw, that's kind of sad to hear from my perspective that you've never had snowfall in Florida. Not even a really light one that falls and melts just above or at ground level. >w>
But nice to hear that you enjoy snow. Unlike someone else. *cough*Lucid*cough* >w> |
Walking in fog is fun.
Driving in it is not. |
Mm, it definitely is a LOT of fun to walk in the fog. 8D
Doing so in a thunderstorm was...interesting... owo |
One day I 'will' make my Snow Totoro *n* one day...
|
I would much rather play on a beach or in a tree or in a lake or inside or anywhere but where there is snow.
I don't like cold. >8| |
Less people out side when its cold and snowy ouo
|
Good luck DK! I'm sure you'll be able to make your snow totoro soon! >w<
Aw, but the cold's so much fun Lucid! >w< |
What kind of sick and twisted world do you live in?! D:
|
I don't live in a sick or twisted world at all! D:<
I live in Canada, I grew up in the cold. It's what I'm used to and what I like. I love playing in the snow, I love cold wintry days/nights with a hot beverage in my hands. I love anything and everything about winter. <3 |
I'm from Kansas. We get almost EVERYTHING. Hot, cold, wet, dry, snow, rain, tornadoes... even the occasional earthquake. No hurricanes, but that's about it.
|
I think it'd be weird if you got a hurricane cause don't you have to be near a body of water for those? >w>
Tornadoes sound interesting. >w> I wouldn't mind going through a tiny one. Though those really HUGE ones might be a bit much for me as I've seen pictures of what they can do. x.x And I ain't ready to deal with their aftermath. >w> |
*throws a snow ball at ari*
dk wants snow this year for xmas ;-; |
*throws a snowball back at DK, specifically her tail* :P
DK didn't get any snow, at all, for Christmas last year? D: That is such a sad, sad thing to hear/read!!!! D8 |
we got a few inches in january but december was frikken spring time =/
|
I know what you mean, I barely got any snow last year in December. D: I think it was just about 2, maybe 2 and a half, centimetres at most? D: It was absolutely horrid! I wish it had snowed more then. >w>
|
I hope it snows here in december dk wants snow for xmas
|
Same here! I hate it when I don't get my white Christmas! >w>
|
I like singing "winter wonderland" as it snows OnO
|
I DO TOO. With my sister, because we sang it in choir with harmony, so we like to sing like we're caroling XD
|
Choir is the reason i love that song =o
tho.. i has no one to sing it with xD |

Both those songs irritate me somewhat. I blame Bing Crosby for the first one. It's tradition when I'm up north that everyone wraps presents while watching White Christmas. My favourite Christmas movie is pretty much always going to be Muppet Christmas Carol. I think I've got it memorized by now.
I make a point of spending Christmas up north every other year (it's my down south year this year) so I figure a really white Christmas every two years is good enough. It doesn't help my cold resistance being down here all the time though. You really need to be in it to get used to it. When I was living up north, -5*C was considered almost balmy, especially after a week of -30*C or -40*C or so. That's just the outside temperature too, not including wind chill. That's what makes it nasty. I think I'm making several Christmas gifts this year. I'm kinda broke. I'm taking on the philosophy that no gift is better than a dumb gift. It's cheaper and people seem to be okay with the idea. I'm a card fiend though. Can't manage the year without Christmas cards! |
if it snowed here it would have been just one extra chore to deal with
|
You sure it would only be just one?
|
shovelling the driveway? yeah just the one, at least we're on a hill so i could just scrape the shit down on the street >.>
|
It's usually more than the driveway, and shoveling it on the street is not always a good plan, especially when passing plows like to shove it back on the driveway! Irritating plows sometimes. Especially when they drive so far up your lawn to deposit snow that the weight breaks your water pipes. Dad wasn't happy with the city over that one.

I'm trying to learn xmas songs in japanese ouo
|
I only know Silent Night in Japanese. >w>
|
Thats the easiest one x'D I have sailor moon characters singing that and Tenchi muyo characters who sing that on my iPod ouo
|
I know Jingle Bells.
ジングルベル、ジングルベル、鈴が鳴る (すず、なる) 今日は楽しいクリスマス (きょう、たのしい) Pretty unimpressive translation though: Jingle bell, jingle bell, bells ring. Today is fun Christmas. |
Sailor Moon and Tenchi Muyo have the characters sing that too ouo I like the Tenchi Muyo cause you hear Reyo-oki singing too
Nya nya! |

It was the only one my teacher taught when I took the Japanese course in grade nine. I've since been lazy to learn the rest. >w> |
