Dunno if I wanna work on Frumpkinpus or my rainbow shawl/blanket more atm....

Gogandantes 09-15-2019 02:20 PM

sewing is fun.

MonBon 09-15-2019 07:33 PM

Do you sew Goga? (or however you prefer to be addressed)

Den 09-16-2019 07:43 PM

I got a bunch of yarn yesterday, and I'mma knit plushies of the Mighty Nein.

trystan830 09-16-2019 09:01 PM

i got a bunch of yarn on friday. there's at least one pair of socks, and maybe a cardigan. but a nice fitting one, not a pull-over that'll be huge and floppy. =)

Den 09-16-2019 09:02 PM

I'm personally more fond of oversized, pullover sweaters. They're warmer for some reason.

trystan830 09-16-2019 09:23 PM

i don't actually wear a lot of pullovers. or sweaters. even in the winter.

Den 09-16-2019 09:40 PM

I do, because I get cold very easily. and I like having big, loose sleeves, because close-fitting stuff makes me anxious.

trystan830 09-16-2019 10:00 PM

ah, fair enough

Den 09-16-2019 10:42 PM

I should probably start knitting the M9 dolls... but I can't find my frickin' black yarn for Yasha's hair.

Death by Mirrors 09-17-2019 04:53 AM

I prefer huge and loose as well, even though I rarely get cold. There's just something comforting about being able to wrap yourself in your cardi.

Den 09-17-2019 05:27 AM

even better is when it's someone bigger's sweater and it smells like them.

trystan830 09-17-2019 10:26 AM

that i agree with, Den!

Den 09-17-2019 08:17 PM

I'm working on knitted dolls of the Mighty Nein. Decided to start with Caleb.

MonBon 09-18-2019 10:32 PM

Hey hobby people, what's a good site for writing nowadays? I used to use quizilla (lol) but when it died I went to mibba. Idk if mibba is still active or well used anymore though

Den 09-18-2019 11:52 PM

I honestly don't know... but when NaNoWriMo comes around, I use Written? Kitten!

trystan830 09-18-2019 11:54 PM

i use google docs for my NaNo XD

MonBon 09-19-2019 09:09 PM

What's NaNo :O

trystan830 09-19-2019 10:51 PM

NaNo is short for NaNoWriMo, which is short for National Novel Writing Month, where you write 50,000 words (or a Novel) in November. :)

Den 09-20-2019 02:44 AM

So I got it into my head ages ago to make dolls of the Mighty Nein (the characters in campaign two of Critical Role), and was musing for a LONG time on how best to do so... and then I remembered, they don't have to be 100% accurate representations of the characters... so then I got yarn. and picked out a pattern. I have one done so far. just cast on earlier tonight for the next one.

Death by Mirrors 09-20-2019 05:13 AM

Nice doll, and on the photo it looks like very smooth knitting too. Well done!

But... weren't you claiming you'd give them more of an anatomy for Coda's box? Seems very much like a work in progress still *immature giggles* Alright, I am in the privileged position to confirm the final version does in fact exist.

Den 09-20-2019 10:18 PM

There's more that I added to the one that I didn't get a picture of, but it's just some minor embellishment. Happy trails to you~!

Death by Mirrors 09-22-2019 04:03 AM

Haha, yes. I was just being silly.
And I agree, it's indeed funnier if you only make a select few dolls anatomically correct instead of all of them. Sort of a bonus for mentioning your dick during the game.

Den 09-22-2019 04:04 AM

the one I'm working on now has a definite ass, and that's just because in the game she's from? another Player Character shot her in the ass. So I'mma embroider a bandaid on that buttcheek.

Death by Mirrors 09-22-2019 04:54 AM

LOL omg that's brilliant! ^^
Gotta love those small hidden references.

Den 09-22-2019 05:10 AM

I'll take pictures of the full set, and tag the players on twitter once it's all said and done.

Ooh! that sounds cool. I would fail miserably at that though. I've been working on my novel for a few years and am only at 21k, and a good portion of that is backstory / notes and not the actual book

trystan830 09-22-2019 09:13 PM

any words you write count.

i'm what's called a plantser. i'm actually a pantser - i write by the seat of my pants - but i plan things a little bit at a time. the opposite is a planner - characters, plots, outlines, back stories. as a pantser, i make those up as i go. it's quite fun. XD

Den 09-22-2019 09:47 PM

I'm a Planster, too.

trystan830 09-22-2019 09:50 PM

yaay! plantsers unite! :)

Mekatra 09-22-2019 10:01 PM

When I actually participate, I am also a plantser, but since I still don't have my own computer (and have no interest in hand writing) I will not be participating this year.

trystan830 09-22-2019 10:10 PM

well that's annoying you don't have your own computer :(

Mekatra 09-22-2019 10:13 PM

I plan to buy a laptop, probably sometime toward the end of December, but for now I am stuck borrowing my mom's on occasion. (Like right now)

trystan830 09-22-2019 10:16 PM

ah, i gotcha. we all have laptops. in fact, we have my younger daughter's chromebook - it's a few years old (5, i think)... she now has a macbook. i wonder where we could sell it online? facebook, maybe? XD

Mekatra 09-22-2019 10:22 PM

Does your local area have a buy/sell/trade page on Facebook? Those are usually great places to offload stuff.

trystan830 09-22-2019 10:25 PM

i don't know... but i'm in a few local groups, i can poke around

Mekatra 09-22-2019 10:30 PM

I see stupid stuff for sale in mine all the time.

trystan830 09-22-2019 10:33 PM

LOL!

i gotta actually go on and take a look in the first place. =)

Den 09-23-2019 02:49 AM

Working on a set of dolls atm...

Caleb Widowgast
Beauregard Lionett

Kitalpha Hart 09-23-2019 04:15 AM
