Serena Yuy 07-24-2012 11:12 PM

Hey Serra! How've you been?

Reyoki 07-24-2012 11:12 PM

*thumbs up* Indeed I do, Serena! I'm not as far down as Miami, though. I'm about an hour away from Disney World.

Serena Yuy 07-24-2012 11:14 PM

I'm surprised the zombie apocalypse hasn't hit your home yet. :p

I have family who live in the Palm Bay area. ^^

Lioshika 07-24-2012 11:15 PM

What are we talking about zombies for?

Reyoki 07-24-2012 11:25 PM

Reyo lives in Zombieland.

NikkoGallarado 07-24-2012 11:28 PM

I live in state with stupid fucks that shot people in theaters.

I am the manry-est of men!

Reyoki 07-24-2012 11:31 PM

*hugs Nikko* Rage won't do anyone any good right now... not over that situation, at least.

Serra Britt 07-24-2012 11:31 PM

Hi Serena! Been doing rather well actually.

Reyoki, remember...calisthenics!

Edit: Aww Nikko, I wish you didn't have to be near something like that :/

Serena Yuy 07-24-2012 11:31 PM

Yes Reyo, you do. :p Just stock up on the shot guns and various anti-zombie stuff. I think my brother-in-law has a zombie apocalypse survival guide :p

*hugs Nikko* did you ever hear anything of your cousin?

Lioshika 07-24-2012 11:32 PM

I live in a state when a medicare welfare junky can't afford a fucking (pardon my language) dollar copay, and THEY HAVE TO GIVE IT TO THEM.

-___- You can fine a dollar on the ground in coins. It's not hard. It disgusts me.

Reyoki 07-24-2012 11:33 PM

Actually, firearms aren't the most ideal weapon for the zombie apocalypse. The noise would attract more zed, and that's the last thing you need. What really does the trick is some sharpened long-handled gardening tools.

Serena Yuy 07-24-2012 11:35 PM

I hate my state at times. NY just sucks. -.-

Apparently because I don't have insurance.. I HAVE to have the school cover my insurance. Which is over $2000. If I didn't have to go through that, I wouldn't have to worry about coming up with $2000 to pay off the rest of my semester this Fall. -.- and then i could have used the rest of it to cover the bill I'll have in the Summer.

NikkoGallarado 07-24-2012 11:38 PM

Did you all know that Switerland has the lowest gun deaths in history?

I am the manry-est of men!

Serena Yuy 07-24-2012 11:42 PM

@Nikko: I think I remember reading that somewhere.

NikkoGallarado 07-24-2012 11:45 PM

Yeah I thought that was cool.

I am the manry-est of men!

Lioshika 07-24-2012 11:54 PM

Serena; NY is out to screw us all over.

If I took the school insurance, it was 200 a semester. >_< but mom has insurance, so it would be silly for me to.

Serena Yuy 07-25-2012 12:03 AM

I have no choice with it at UB. My mom was selfish and went to a single plan WHILE I was still dependent. -.- So, I got kicked off at 22. Had medicaid for a year. Not even.

Oh and lets not forget in NY, for me to qualify for Family health plus I have to gross less than I think $1200 a month and for Medicaid, far less than that.
Excuse me? I work at a fast food place part time. -.- how the heck do I make too much to qualify for anything. The only way I would be able to was if I told my manager I cannot work the 30hr weeks she gives me. But, I won't. I like my money. Ya know, so I can afford to kind of live over the next year off of what money I made while I'm getting ready to go back to school. -.-

Lioshika 07-25-2012 10:59 PM

Serena; I had to tell my job I can't earn more than about 5k because of NY's taxes. And they didn't listen. As usual. I got so pissed with them. I told them I an NOT doing that this year.

Serena Yuy 07-26-2012 12:17 AM

Yeah, I was tempted to tell my manager how I can't work more than 25hr because of our wages and the whole me needing insurance stuff. But, oh well. -.-

What really sucks is because of that, I have to pay over $2000 for UB's student coverage. -.-

Lioshika 07-26-2012 12:27 AM

It's just absolutely ridiculous. All the way around. Shouldn't be forced to have insurance, shouldn't have to explain to managers.

I told them for tax reasons, and they just shooed me off. Tomorrow I get to deal with Bob.

Serena Yuy 07-26-2012 12:32 AM

Yeah, since they're forcing me to have it there. I have to come up with almost $2000 on my own to pay off the semester. Without it, I wouldn't have to worry about paying anything. It would have been covered by my aid.

Lioshika 07-26-2012 01:07 AM

It's ridiculously pricey.

Serena Yuy 07-26-2012 01:21 AM

It is, it's insane. :/

Lioshika 07-26-2012 01:32 AM

I wish I could stay on my mom's forever. .-.

Hell I wish I had my grandma's. She got hers through teaching, her plan is a dollar copay, and NOT a gov. welfare kind of coverage. Teachers got this kinda stuff.

Serena Yuy 07-26-2012 01:35 AM

That's good that teachers get the health care like that. ^^

I just wish I was able to qualify for medicaid so I didn't have to scrounge for money.

I might be getting another kitty. If he goes up for adoption.

Lioshika 07-26-2012 01:58 AM

Well, they don't get THAT good anymore, but they get relatively damn good.

Kitties <3 I wish I could have some.

Serena Yuy 07-26-2012 02:06 AM

Yeah, it's still good though. :) I just wish we all were lucky and were able to get some reasonable cost health care. :/

Yeah, we have my kitty. This kitty we're hoping to get is actually to get back. My dad had to take 5 kitties (2 adults, and 3 of their kittens) to the shelter because they couldn't keep all 7 of the cats. Well, when my dad went there and gave them to the shelter, one of the cats really made him upset having to get rid of. This poor guy was just scared stiff and it upset my dad and he wished he could have thought to just say "fuck it, I'm taking him back" and he would have brought him to my house and my mom and I would have taken care of him with my baby boy.

Well.. He didn't think of that till afterwards. On monday when we were talking about it, I told him that I was just thinking of looking on the website and the day I saw him on there, I would have given dad the money and told him to go adopt him.

We talked about it and he's gonna see if he's available and tell them who he is, and then myself and dad will split the cost. He just feels so horrible. The day he brought the cats there, he snapped at his girlfriend about how he did not want to go through that again and such.

Oh here's a picture of Spooky http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...87298200_n.jpg

Lioshika 07-26-2012 02:36 AM

I could never put my animals up for adoption. I would be broke on the floor.

Echo-chan713 07-26-2012 09:41 AM

I want a kitty too but my apartment won't allow them

NikkoGallarado 07-26-2012 10:36 AM

-lurks about then stuffs more stuff from this thread into suite case-

I am the manry-est of men!

Serena Yuy 07-26-2012 12:04 PM

I've had kitties my entire life. When my dad and I had to look for an apartment a few years ago, we made sure they allowed cats.

Still have my baby boy. He's 15 this year. When my boyfriend and I get our own place, we have to make sure they allow cats.

I wish I was allowed to have a cat with me when I go back to school, but, I live on campus :( no kitties. Or I would bring my baby with me.

Echo-chan713 07-26-2012 02:12 PM

I grew up with mostly dogs but to me cats are my preferred because they are independent

Serena Yuy 07-26-2012 02:21 PM

Yeah, I don't have to shove them outside so they can go to the bathroom, they don't need to have attention 24/7. Just fill up a box full of litter and leave them to their toilet, clean it out every so often. And they're fine on their own ^^

Echo-chan713 07-26-2012 02:23 PM

And to fill their food bowls and their not as expensive as dogs and they don't go insane for people the closest is that they rub against them wanting attention

Serena Yuy 07-26-2012 02:29 PM

Yeah, it's not constant with Elijah (my cat). He will come over or jump up, cuddle and purr.
The dog (my mom's dog), it's constant "PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!!!" -.- It's annoying how the dog will just constantly need/want attention. That and the dog stinks

My cat, he bathes himself (though I help take care of his dander and wipe him with cat wipes), I have to feed him myself since he's diabetic and gets insulin when he eats his meals.

Echo-chan713 07-26-2012 05:06 PM

my previous cat was a 14lb kitty and she loved playing fetch with a special rabbit foot, but when my sister's dog destroyed it, my cat was so heartbroken about it that she ate all day not leaving the bowl

Lioshika 07-26-2012 09:35 PM

Echo; That's kind of sad about your cat.

I used to have a rabbit foot. But I'm not sure where it is now. I think it was blue.

Serena Yuy 07-27-2012 01:49 PM

My cat just took over the dining room chair I usually sit at to put my shoes on for work. That and one of my pairs of pants are on there.

Reyoki 07-28-2012 08:39 PM

My friends' cats love my shoes. No matter whose house I'm at, I always have to take off my shoes so their cats can stick their heads in them and rub all over them.

Lioshika 07-28-2012 10:18 PM

Reyoki; That is a little scary.
