So like I went to this village-with-no-internet for a college field immersion (hence missing the recent event as though missing the one before it wasn't bad enough) and one of the villages we visited was Kokkarebellur. 'Kokkare' is painted stork in Kannada. Anyway, the village has a tradition of caring for and in modern terms conserving the cranes, storks and pelicans that migrate there for the winter, so I got to see a bunch of birds. The villagers said, like you know how married women go home for/right after delivering a baby? (In my culture anyway.) So since these birds lay and hatch eggs when they visit, they're thought of as the daughters of the village. :f-heart: |

Do you need any of the items from the event? Like bundles? Do you need some bundles? Aww that's really sweet actually. I love hearing about people that live so closely with nature and really respect it. |
wait who are you asking

Sternum since they mentioned they missing the last event. Why, did you need some bundles?
|
Nah, I'm fine. Just keeping an eye out for donations of older items.

@Mekatra Thank you so much for the trade, it's nice of you! :f-heart: @mdom Lmao no thinking kid falls for it. Once when I was a kid I was like 'Mom, if I came out of your stomach, how come people say I have resemblances to Dad?' and she was like 'Shut up and go study' =.= |
Think the first time I ever heard about that was Dumbo :|

My sisters always told me they hatched me out of an egg they found in the garden... I believed that for far too long... Especially since one time when I was like five or so they painted this big roundish rock blue and put it in a nest thing they had made and said it was my little sister and I had to sit on it to hatch her. I sat on it every day after school for like a month... Also you are most welcome, dear. |
