What would lightning be?

It's a sub element of fire ^_^

Hello.
I'm not Pagan, but I like learning about different beliefs and stuff. So, do you guys mind if I lurk? Maybe ask a few questions here and there? I'm reading the "Guide" lol. I'm not here to bash anything. Promise. :3 |
Welcome. You can stay, I always welcome people who are interested :)
I hope you see something you're interested in or learn something new ^_^ |
Well, I've just seen a few things on tv, or whatnot that mention paganism, and it's usually negative. I don't think it would be proper to judge based on that, especially since I know such little about it.
So, how popular is paganism? Would you say it has more members than originally let on? I know the rule is to "keep everything on the down low". xD That may be a weird question, but I know there are so many Christians, Jews, and Muslims, I wonder about the other beliefs of the world. |
As "pagan" is such a wide ranging term I'm sure there are many. But we are very quiet ^_^
I find the media presents paganism in a negative way as if if they didn't it would be boring. "Nope, not cursing anyone. Just making up some tea... Would you like some or..." Lol |
Lol. I suppose so.
Tea is good. Yummy. |
Most places have some sort of pagan group. I know there's a few around where I live but they're not of my path so I don't get involved.
My partner Jenjen loves tea but I'm not much of a fan. |
I've found that the media generally presents paganism in one of two ways:
Option A; blood, murder, sacrifice, ugly old hags, all the usual propaganda that make you think of Halloween and the wicked witch of the west (of who, by the way, i do a fair imitation ^.^) Option B; even more unrealistic, as practitioners of pagan ways are generally shown as beautiful (in this case either nice or nasty) in the glamour-model sense, able to get anything by wriggling their cute little noses or snapping their fingers or generally pointing at thin air, as in Charmed, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Bewitched, etc. Neither are too accurate. Feel free to ask questions and we'll answer to the best of our abilities, most everyone here at some point has faced the "interview" in some way or other. In England, where Tai-chan and i live, Paganism is one of the fastest growing belief systems and a fair number of our police force have recently admitted to believing in at least some of its ways if not practicing them. Nothing i love less about being a witch than being told i don't exist ^.^ |
How interesting. I had no idea about that.
|
About what? the media portraits or that i get told i don't exist? :D
On the tea front . . . i only drink it if my boyfriend's made it, not even if i have. Dunno why. |
In England, how it's the fastest growing belief.
I like Black tea, but green tea is good too. Don't think I've had much else. |
I've tried the redbush stuff and that's ok. :)
|
Oh yeah? Sounds interesting.
Black tea is most common around here. It's kinda hard to find other stuff unless it's in a bottle. |
Prefer green tea, which i will drink regardless of who made it so long as it contains lemon and honey. Started drinking it to help with acne, it contains a lot of good anti-oxidents, and it just grew on me ^.^
|
I need to try green tea. I tried black tea but couldn't get on with it. It's great for a anti flu steam though.
