This just in: "Sylveon" is confirmed as the name for this new Eevee evolution. Judging by the way that they seem adamant about hiding its type, I concede that it seems possible that it may be a new type altogether. Wikipedia assures me that "Silva" means "Spirit of the wood", though I'm not sure whether or not that is related to its type.

Perhaps I should just trust Game Freak to not screw this up.

In this demo video, Sylveon seems to be using "Light" moves. And the way they have been so quite about the typing makes me believe there will be a new type or two in this generation.

Drifloon is a ghost, and is cute. Personally I think it might be a normal.

I personally think it's flying, but I would be very happy with either ghost or dragon as well. Dragon is the last remaining special stat type before the split that doesn't have an Eeveelution. ;A; Poor dragon.

seeing as eevee is normal and needs the elements around it to evolve.. the new evo being normal makes it feel like.. eevee grew up with out the usual hassle of searching for a moss rock or waiting for day >x<
