but what does she use them for?

I'm guessing she's hoarding them for when the next items are released and the end of the event when everyone is scrambling to get them.

For me I'm doing it until the next items come out then I'll tempoararly close the shop until I have all of the itemss only once

I have 100 spare Jewels right now, and I'm saving those for the next wave of items. I'm hoping to earn some more so that I can get some extras of the items, though. I give the extras to friends who were away during the event.

I should start saving, are they paying in crystals as well

I heard that there are going to be new items after the civil war like a celebration of the rebels wanted their freedom from that crazy lady :D
