-Small information: Apparently the game is MUCH longer then most Pokemon games, and after the 5th gym there is a lot of time consuming exploring to do.

I read somewhere that like the first 5 cities only have 1 gym. THAT'S SO COOL. I am going to love having a HUGE world to explore with lots to do. 8D

I know right! I wonder how much longer until all those blocked off forests that were always barriers to towns will be open to catch Pokemon in! And after watching part 1 and 2 of Pokemon The Origins, I wonder if they will ever remake Red and Blue and make Pallet town similar to the one shown in origins.

I'm assuming his evolved form or his shiny version is orange. ASSUMING. Granted, farmers can genetically alter pumpkins so they can turn out pink. Farmers normally do this to support breast cancer awareness.

Small news: The game has over 90 new Pokemon, not including Mega evolutions. I'm not sure if this is true or not, but it's much better then the only 70 new pokemon rumor. It's more closer to 100, and I think I speak for everyone when I say that every generation should be at least around 100 Pokemon or more.

damn i hate all the extra exploring, i just want to go do the gyms and then elite 4 and thats it. If i need to grind or whatever ill go back and battle all the peoples

The Z legendary guys, and yes it was the dragon pokemon everyone was assuming. I'm surprised about it's secondary typing though :/ It looks pretty damm awesome though.

Things to know:
-There is a somewhat confirmed 90 new Pokemon, but only 70 were found. (DLC?)
-No new legendary Trio's, the trio's in this game will be the legendary birds roaming around.
-No 2nd eevee evolution found, possibly only Slyveon, which is a little disappointing. And it also seems that Slyveon is the only cross generation pokemon that is evolving.
-Possibly future DLC updates, land masses, new Pokemon. Pokemon Z, may possibly be a huge DLC update and it might possibly release the "second half" of the Kalo's region pokemon. (Hold this even more lightly then a grain of salt, just a few rumors floating around.)
- The Z legendary doesn't show up in the regular Kalo's dex's, only the regional, so there will most likely be a couple of event pokemon (which is pretty much a given) but because the 3DS is unhackable, we will most likely not see it until release or when someone finally hacks the games and find art assets.)
-Mewtwo can be caught in game :/ I'm assuming after the elite four

Something I'm seeing online, don't know how true it is, is saying all the leaks from Italy/Canada/whatever were actually fake and that Nintendo Orchestrated it.

Completely untrue, so you are telling me that Nintendo made 70 Pokemon models, and Mega Evolutions for a prank alone? Yeah... Right....

Oh and someone posted this in the VP section of 4chan, I laughed hard. (He's referring to the Z legendary FYI)

One place did a fairly good trailer (at the time) for a live-action Zelda movie...and it was just for April Fools instead of trying to hype up the game/be marketing for the game. (I'm just justifying it) And I don't think the fake pokemon include the stuff released before like a week ago? Idk...I'm not saying it is true, but I can see the marketing behind it.

Well I'm just saying that there are videos of people actually playing the games, and that the live-action Zelda movie was by a 3rd party. Nintendo let alone Gamefreak wouldn't do that, that's bad marketing in my opinion to release leaked information of a "fake game" that could be a huge loss of profit, not only by developing it, people will be upset because that the "leak game" wasn't what their actually be getting. It does more harm then good at that point.

Now if a 3rd party did this my response would be "A 3RD PARTY MADE THEIR OWN POKEMON X AND Y GAMES THAT LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THE REAL GAMES BUT IS ALSO PLAYABLE!?"

Again, highly unlikely.

And those crackpot Hoen Remakes idealists, you got to love them for posting these absurd conspiracies left and right. xD

Red, Blue, and Green seem to be Pokemon's favorite color combination. People who claim that they are in honor of Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald must be forgetting that Red, Blue, and Green were the colors of the first generation except that Green never got released in America. xP I think they went with this color combo because I get the feeling they are REALLY trying to get older players to come back, especially since they made that Pokemon Origins based on the original story.

I would have really liked a Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald remake, however I believe they will come AFTER X, Y, and maybe Z. Nintendo probably didn't want to start the 3DS Pokemon Franchise with a remake and then they can use the engine from X/Y to make the remakes if they're gonna do it.

I have a feeling this generation is going to be EXTREMELY SHORT, all signs point to that there will only be 1 event Pokemon, which will be the squirrel depicted in the lore of the Yggdrasil. (A possible Pure Normal Legendary?) The area in which the squirrel appears in has been found in game, so it's existence is beyond questioning. With very little Pokemon this gen, it would seem that we will either get Pokemon X and Y sequels or simply Pokemon Z sometime next year or the year after.
So we might be getting Ruby and Sapphire remakes next year, or the year after.

Overall Gamefreak told us that they will be trying to make Pokemon generations shorter, but with the much smaller amount of Pokemon introduced, and the more emphasis on new gameplay mechanics. I have a feeling this Gen is a stepping stone to something bigger.

Bu that's my crackpot theory, take it or leave it. ;D

I guess I'll jump into the conversation despite having no plans to buy the game.

IMO, the series got a bit meh starting from B/W. I also think Mega Gardevoir could've been done better, seeing as how even though I wasn't a huge fan of her at first, she's kind of really grown on me.

I'm not a fan of her...they could've made her so fabulous. It didn't work for me -shrugs-

But since Mega isn't forced on us/pokemon to my understanding, I will survive.

But if anyone who's getting Y would prefer the X charizard (and would breed me a charmander...) I could totally trade the X stone for that charmander with a y stone XD

Overall this gen has been awful with evolutions... I've seen so much better fan art for the Starter's evolutions, or the other Pokemon's evolutions (the slug dragon for example).
I don't understand how Gamefreak would let some of these designs pass.. I feel as though with a couple of design tweaks and some recolor changes that a lot of these Pokemon would look much better. I feel that Gamefreak must had been extremely rushed or something... I'm sure they have thousands of other Pokemon designs made, and only so few of them get passed. But I still have to question their whole process...

This generation began at a great start, the designs were a fresh reminder of the good ol' gen 1 days, and the Pokemon were truly a hit or miss. But now that we are seeing everything, it seems that the first conception of the designs were an illusion.

But as I said, this game feels like a stepping stone towards something bigger. (And no I don't mean a MMO Ashy D<) The best way I can put it is that Gamefreak is closing a arc, and this game is the prelude to a bigger game or for what's to come. I know for sure it won't be a MMO, the day we see a Pokemon MMORPG, is the day that Pokemon officially stops making new generations and ends. (If that day would ever come.)

They could still make an mmo, but there would be new expansions or update or whatever with every single generation! And it would be awesome...hopefully.

I'm only judging the information that we've been getting so far, and I've been solely judging the design aspect. I still haven't seen much of the gameplay world, but I'm not criticizing the new art style or the new 3D world. I'm pointing out that a lot of the new Pokemon's designs were very favorable but took a different turn where they look (in my opinion) steadily worse, and that some of the Pokemon designs could use a few tweaks.

It's not like I'm calling this game a terrible and worst generation ever... That's 4th gen...

I liked gen 4 .-. Though I have no idea what that thing in the spoilers is .-.

I like gen4. I....disliked the gen5 games.

I've never beat gen 5. I'm still completely stuck after the first...or second gym on one of them...with multiple legendaries that like to sleep during battle lol
