Figured. Might as well take the preemptive strike before I get crippled more than I already am.

Suzerain of Sheol 11-07-2013 10:16 PM

Swordfighting telekinetic Jesus zombies!

Quiet Man Cometh 11-07-2013 11:13 PM

On Tarja, I'm assuming what happened to the city was post-actual Calamity. As to the other stuff, not sure where she'd get her info from. Should it all chalk up to personal experience? I can pick a better age range for her to account for learning about things from having actually dealt with them. Not sure what the time frame should be, though.

Not sure what sort of stuff a psychic actually *can* do, so that section of her sheet might be in a bit of flux, if that's alright.

Espy 11-07-2013 11:20 PM

So uh. I have often related Dante to a cat. I thought this was hilariously relevant.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-07-2013 11:27 PM

That's mildly freaky...

Lawtan 11-07-2013 11:36 PM

*Laughs till I hacks up a hairball*

Quiet Man Cometh 11-08-2013 12:40 AM

Somebody give me a possible means of getting Tarja into the story before I have her crawl out of one of the graves.

Lawtan 11-08-2013 12:42 AM

*coughs*
Would she be willing to work with Kadia? *team intro writing work at 4 pm tomorrow?*
*Plans to get Kadia in tomorrow night*

Gallagher 11-08-2013 01:20 AM

I still think that the best course of action for them both would be to assume they are with the group, but haven't had reason until now to stand out. And now is a very good time, considering it's all out zombie war (save for the one nudist with no sense of danger).

Espy 11-08-2013 01:21 AM

Ain't a war to the one guy who's running full tilt towards LIIIIIGHT.

....like a parasite-infested shrimp.

Gallagher 11-08-2013 01:32 AM

I hope you know that going toward the light is how people get dead.

Espy 11-08-2013 01:39 AM

/I/ know that.

Gallagher 11-08-2013 01:41 AM

I think in this universe it's double dead.

Suzerain of Sheol 11-08-2013 01:46 AM

Do it, Espy. I'm sure it's nice and peaceful in there, all candlelight and stained glass and little prayer missives. There's probably a a kind, tender-hearted old monk sweeping up the dust. He even has a pet mouse.

Espy 11-08-2013 01:48 AM

Nah, I'm going to fucking sleep. Night all. Sweet dreams...of...blood and gore and angels' apocalyptic ire.

Suzerain of Sheol 11-08-2013 01:50 AM

I'm not sure if anyone else does this, but whenever I see the word "apocalypse" my brain always interprets it as "revelation" (the original meaning of the word), then has to take a microsecond to leap from apocalypse to revelation to Armageddon to end of the world. :P

This method picks at my role play sensibilities. Could always retro post something to show how they got there I suppose.

Shall we go with the "here already" option?

Suzerain of Sheol 11-08-2013 01:56 AM

I honestly think just having them there all along would be by far the easiest mode of insertion. Short of some weird metaphysical reality-warping, no one got in here ahead of us -- the place was locked from the outside by the abbess and her flock fleeing as the infernal topos took hold over the local materium.

And it just strikes me as too coincidental that all these parties would converge on this remote site at the same time.

And furthermore, no one here is writing their magnum opus if there's a plothole in the beginning so we can get the story moving forward, so be it. I'm not really interested in what's gone before.

Lawtan 11-08-2013 02:57 AM

Umm...sorry for spending so much time doing that, then...

Gallagher 11-08-2013 03:08 AM

Nah bro, chillax. Newbiebewbies get a grace period to get into the swing of things. It's probably good for you to get into the feel of your character and how they're sitting in a universe not of your own creation, but Mandude over there isn't a newbiebewbie and should stop picking at things and focus on the game.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-08-2013 03:09 AM

Can't help it. I'm a nit-picker by nature. I'm okay with going with what we have so far, as in we were all in the party to start. Just coming up with something to post right now.

Suzerain of Sheol 11-08-2013 03:11 AM

Pick those nits!

And I'm sorry if that came across as harsh, Lawtan, I didn't mean it to. Everyone should probably take what I say with a hefty portion of salt for the next forever while I devolve with grief. Not that that's an excuse. Will try not to do so again.

Gallagher 11-08-2013 03:13 AM

That's Suze for he's not good at saying things nicelike right now, so pretend he did.

Lawtan 11-08-2013 03:27 AM

As a question: will the battle still be ongoing come 4 pm tomorrow? I know what to write, but tests and all until 12 tomorrow... (Sleep is so for non-demigods XD)

Gallagher 11-08-2013 03:28 AM

God yeah it will, we haven't picked up speed yet, so you'll be safe till then. Suze went to bed himself.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-08-2013 03:30 AM

Hard to say with roleplays. It depends on how often people post and what they post. We also have yet to hear from Salone, and it's not likely we'll go speeding ahead and leave people behind for the sake of a few hours.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-08-2013 08:25 AM

Well there's something. I'm not sure I'm happy with it but I've been pissed off at everything I've written tonight.

Espy 11-08-2013 12:14 PM

I feel like I should send Dante toppling face-first into the ground again because Tarja's question is /reasonable/. At least more so than blindly hurling towards a thing that happened just as sword-wielding undead rose out of their graves.

I was actually crossing the Twelve Hours of Night through Hermetic meditation, wandering the Waters of Osiris and locked in internecine battle with dread Apophis.

*scribbles "sleepist" down on the list* :D

And oh no, Lawtan, I don't usually move us ahead until everyone's had their turn, and even then, I give a day or two warning in case anyone wants to add anything last minute.

*still totally waiting for Dante to take shelter in the chapel.* The mouse is really quite friendly. His name is Orville.

Espy 11-08-2013 01:13 PM

I assuming wandering into is basically the same as sticking your head under a guillotine with a worn-out rope.

Espy 11-08-2013 01:40 PM

Oh, by the way, my college has a tradition of fence-painting (look up Carnegie Mellon's fence), and this happened today/last night. I mean, we USUALLY don't have such...extreme...things.

Lawtan 11-08-2013 02:25 PM

^this
Two of my 10 favorite colors

Gallagher 11-08-2013 03:40 PM

I think your post came out well, Mandude. It's exactly what I was hoping for, at least.

Suzeboo is a bit controlling of the rp, Lawtan, but he's very fair. Moreso than most game masters. Some of them will let you get ditched if you miss so much as a day of posting. Quantity over quality, no matter what they may say about "literacy" limits and other such nonsense.

Espy 11-08-2013 03:51 PM

Nah. Suze is pretty lax on that. The only time where we all got more than a bit peeved was back in the beginning-ish of the first RP, when Funkie was like "PLOT TWIST" and chaos ensued.

And then people disappearing, but that's a different issue.

Gallagher 11-08-2013 04:17 PM

I really need to read that nonsense again, I swear I've looked at it, but I can never remember.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-08-2013 08:32 PM

This must have been after my disappearance. I don't recall a lot except for some random artificer that appeared behind a doorway when we met the priest with his book.

I tried to find a way to revamp Dara but she's really not meant to be a superhero.

Espy 11-08-2013 09:26 PM

No, it was /before/ you joined.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-08-2013 09:32 PM

Ah. Well, I can imagine as he was also in my cat roleplay. I had a few words with him about that too, though it wasn't too drastic then.

Salone 11-08-2013 10:09 PM

Good god I seem to have missed a lot in the last few days.

Well, suppose you give me a few minutes and I'll have something written up. Time to pen 1.14MB of rage and fury.

Espy 11-08-2013 10:15 PM

We should restart that Cat RP.
