Aaah me laddies.... What I'd give to be here during the beginning of Trisphee once again.... NOTHING! Because it was terrible! There was no large range of items. My hair didn't come until the year after! DISGUSTING!

daikokunyo 12-28-2014 04:32 AM

I've tried every avi site running but I've never been on a site right from its conception or even its beta trial.
What I wouldn't give for the experience :p-frown:
It must be beautiful. Like really being a part.

Illusion 12-28-2014 12:53 PM

You are as part of as you make it. Try and bring up someone who was here during Beta, I probably wouldn't remember them because they only stayed during that time. It's time spent together and experiences shared that makes you part of somewhere.

Time is a factor, but almost with everything. It's easier to grow with something, but if something is already in shambles it just means you can grow a whole ton of things from there! It's easy to be a part of something, but it's not easy to actually contribute to something itself. If you can do your part of just being here talking, you are accomplishing something. I can't tell you how people have run charities or contests of whom I wouldn't see ever again or remember. But I can tell you a bunch of names of people I talked to and spent time with.

So you can be part of this site now, just talk! Chat. Make friends. Discuss.

ml1201 12-28-2014 07:49 PM

Wish people could realize this with Uni6, what with the changes the sites gone through in hopes of making a better site overall that can support itself instead of having to rely on the user base as much. It's only been going for a couple months and people are already throwing their hands up and calling it quits. Stuff like this takes a lot of time, a couple months doesn't cut it with only three total coders and one of which is still learning the ropes of how the coding is done on the site. Not to mention there's people demanding to have things done when they want just because they've donated and feel that they are entitled to have everything served to them on a silver platter. >.< Those people really tick me off and I wish I could strip them of everything they have except the clothes on their back and then MAYBE they will stop being so friggin selfish! >_> *takes a deep breath* Sorry about that, built up tension. ^^;

Illusion 12-28-2014 09:33 PM

Meh. Used to having people vent to me, as I am to them. I'm like a crummy Psychologist you tell me your troubles and then I reply:
"Yes yes... And. Hoooow does that make you feeeel?"

ml1201 12-28-2014 10:22 PM

lol, not going to comment on that because its a personal thing, but I had to laugh about the question. XD

Illusion 12-28-2014 10:33 PM

Yes yes... And how does that make you feeeeeeeel?

ml1201 12-28-2014 11:27 PM

XD Illusion is so silly. XD

Illusion 12-28-2014 11:28 PM

But HOW does that make YOU feel..?

Edit: (This forum has been going on a little longer then usual, can any Admin/Mod move this thread to the appropriate subforum before this forum is put into past celebrations.)

ml1201 12-29-2014 09:12 AM

I really like my boyfriend and its awesome we're dating because I've kind of had a crush on him for years. XD And he looks good with a beard. :3

daikokunyo 12-29-2014 09:53 AM

@Illusion: That's actually true. I've never donated to a site because there's no concept of pocket money in my family (or society for that matter) and I'm not going to be earning my own living 'til another 5 years or so, but one of the sites I got addicted to and spent a lot of time on, I felt like I belonged after only a month of membership. (That's also where I embarrassed myself the most as a consequence of chatting there the most... which sometimes leads me to spend quiet brooding periods there just lurking, but I digress.)
It's just that I don't have something to say for everything. And even when I have something to say it rarely substantially adds to the conversation *sweatdrops* I'm extremely socially awkward even IRL. I try to make up for that online and then I say something stupid... or maybe I think too much about stuff I say after I say it *double sweatdrops* hehe.

@ml:That's very nice :p-cute: I've never had a guy I like like me back but I think that's 'cause none of them ever twigged I liked them LOL! How long have you been dating :3

So your like me when Trisphee first came out. Gotcha.

ml1201 12-29-2014 06:17 PM

@lioness
I can call you that, right? x'D And we've only been dating for a few weeks. :3 But I've known him for years because we go to the same con. XD

Lawtan 12-29-2014 10:15 PM

Truth: It does make me a tad sad with things like that...sort of the "I sort of lack nostalgic memories to share with friends" thing.
I don't know if that is because depression makes it more difficult to maintain such memories, or what. Sort of why I have some issues that make no sense at times.

Sorry... (and yes, Lawtan says sorry often)

ml1201 12-29-2014 10:29 PM

People when they see me at work don't believe me when I tell them I'm anit-social, but the only reason that it doesn't seem that way is because I have something to talk about for work. If it wasn't for that I would shut up.

I have a friend who is literally anti-social. She is a huge Pokemon fan and it took me a whole year and becoming friends with one of her existing friends to become her friend. xD I joked to her once that she was one hard quest. xD

ml1201 12-30-2014 10:30 AM

lol, but that's a good thing you were able to become her friend, I did something similar to one of my friends from college. She doesn't talk to people and didn't talk much in our group for Topology, but after spending time with me we talk about a bunch of things. XD Anything from plays and music to games like pokemon. XD She got pretty interested in the games I was playing. XD

daikokunyo 12-30-2014 12:02 PM

I can't imagine you having been like that Illusion XD but it is a heartening thought that someday I might be like you :p-cute:
By the time I realise I want to be friends with someone it takes me ages to break the ice because I start talking to them trying to make friends with them but they're too freaked out to reciprocate because they can't figure out why I'm suddenly talking :p-sweat:

Madame-Aiko 12-30-2014 12:04 PM

Ahhhh so lucky~ By the way, does this site have a certain character count requirement in posts? I'm not sure.

ml1201 12-30-2014 12:45 PM

I don't know, but I know DK said there should be at least three words, though I think that's at least three letters in each word. ^^;

Also, did anyone else notice the 'new post' arrow thingy? OWO I don't remember that being there before! :D

Madame-Aiko 12-30-2014 01:07 PM

I don't either. And I mean probably. On most avi sites the requirement of words in a post are three.

ml1201 12-30-2014 01:13 PM

Well, I posted a single word reaction to something (it was a longer word though, like 6-7 letters) and then an emote text thing (like I usually do) and that's when DK told me that. o////o I was so embarrassed. ^^;

Madame-Aiko 12-30-2014 01:15 PM

Yeah. XD When I first started joining avi sites I texted back "Lol" to someone and one of the admins PM-ed me and warned me about it. I was so embarrassed. XD

ml1201 12-30-2014 01:17 PM

lol, its just faster than typing '*laugh out loud*' after all. XD And its one of the few I know to be honest, I'm usually bad with acronyms. ^^; (wow, I actually spelled that right! XD)

Madame-Aiko 12-30-2014 01:22 PM

Haha. I'm normally a fast typer. I just sometimes forget that rule, lol.

I sometimes do as well. I might post a gif for a good laugh and no text then get yelled at! D: I forget sometimes too.

Madame-Aiko 12-30-2014 01:59 PM

Haha, sometimes I wonder if they should consider changing that rule, or maybe it's there because it messes up the site or avoids spam perhaps?

ml1201 12-30-2014 02:01 PM

At least the mods are not mean here, it took me a while to come out of my shell on a site like this to be honest. I had tried joining the forums for Dragon Cave (when I had played) and got a lot of rude responses from people, even mods. Also didn't help that one of the few times I went back years later and said something about something they added to the TOS that I don't think was fair a person started bashing me in a PM about it. I politely told them off, saying I had been on hiatus for two years, which is true, and that I had read the rules before the two years I wasn't there and that they changed things since then and that it still wasn't fair for people (I think it was the names disappearing thing that they did for people who 'are not active' to free up the 'good names'. I personally had nonsense names for the most part so I was peeved when I found this out, even more so since I have dragons that can no longer be obtained on the site that had been named).

Illusion 12-30-2014 02:10 PM

I'm still surprised all the mischief I caused during the opening of Trisphee never caused the staff to add more rules to the Rules and Guidelines. But I know I added temporarily backroom rules for the staff on what they can or cannot do. xD

Madame-Aiko 12-30-2014 02:15 PM

Yeah, I was a member of DragonCave once but eventually lost interest in it. I'd never been on the forums, for I'd never known there were forums, but it seems pretty bad over there.

Espy 12-30-2014 02:59 PM

DC forums aren't too bad from what I've seen o.o;;

But then again, I don't forum much there.

Madame-Aiko 12-30-2014 03:01 PM

It's really just a wait game, so that's why I don't get into it as much anymore.

Illusion 12-30-2014 03:56 PM

But waiting is half the fun!
....
No forget that, I hate waiting! I enjoy instant gratification.

Madame-Aiko 12-30-2014 03:58 PM

I mean, with me, I just see waiting for an egg to hatch. I like FlightRising much more because the game has a lot of possibilities, and while yes it requires waiting it offers things to preoccupy yourself with as well.

Illusion 12-30-2014 04:03 PM

I hate possibilities of chance, I know what I want and I want it now. xD I'm rarely surprised, normally because I'm half expecting everything to begin with.

Madame-Aiko 12-30-2014 04:06 PM

Haha, I try very hard to never get my hopes up in situations so that way I don't get hurt as bad in the end.

ml1201 12-30-2014 04:07 PM

Aikko is on FR? OWO What's you're name there so that I can add you? XD I have a ton of people thee, half of which I forget who is who because people change their names on different sites. ^^;

Madame-Aiko 12-30-2014 04:14 PM

Blackguard. :) I own too many damn Coatls, lmao.

ml1201 12-30-2014 04:17 PM

lol, you'll totally recognize my name, I tend not to change it. XD And I'm close to finishing my coatl project, gem wise I just need another coatl scroll, and then if I remember right all the genes I need after that are just treasure genes. :D

Madame-Aiko 12-30-2014 04:18 PM

I don't make enough on that site to actually buy the scrolls, haha.
