I'm eagerly anticipating a day full of games. Just wondering how the event will go in a shopping center when there's all regular shoppers running around. Probably very loud and crowded.

hahaha, i feel that X''D though to be fair i do my best to avoid it. assuredly though i can see it becoming a pleasant memory to feel like you were part of something 'in the now'

WAY too many people for my comfort, 0_0; but it was indeed an EXPERIENCE! Largest protest I've ever been in...>.>; Actually the only one...I don't like to go out much..

My one recent act of protest beyond donating to a Democratic candidate was buying a "Nasty Woman" T-shirt in support of Planned Parenthood.

In my teens, my act of protest was refusing to turn in homework even though I'd done it, because I was convinced it was 'asinine'.

<u< My form of protest was very similar, only, I never did homework I felt was 'asinine' and pointless. Hence my infamously continuous late/missing assignment streak. Only it developed years before my teens. >u>;

Hrm... only protest I’ve been able to go to was a freedom of speech (also church) protest on campus a few years back. Things got a little weird.

I desperately wanted to join the... 2017-2018 big city protests, but I was either... living w my parents or completely lacking time and means.

If politics are still shit after I finally graduate, though, I’ll probably have to cobble together a better medic’s bag. I’m starting to run low on supplies.

organized peaceful protests kind of don't do all that much to change systematic oppression. to be fair though i understand there are risks that come with actual protesting and i get why many people do not do it

The annual board game night used to be at a different location, which was very comfortable. However for the first time they had to switch venues, as their previously rented concert hall was no longer available.

And yeah, it was extremely loud. Still pondering whether I will attend next year, or just grab some friends and start my own board game event at home.

protests. i went to an impeachment march in july of 2017 and the women's march january of in 2018, both were in philly. they were peaceful that i saw, but i'm sure there were counter-protestors somewhere. i even have one of those pink eared hats that i made... but for the women's march i wore a blue one that i made - it had blue waves on it. :)

also, a zillion years ago in the early 80s, i went with the synagogue we belonged to then to washington DC for a march that was to protest that Russia (then the USSR/Soviet Union) was not allowing Jews to emigrate to Israel. i was 13 or 14, i think. don't really remember it all, just that i was there.
