>:3 Panda haz a camo parrot! So clever! <3
|
Yes, I spy with my little eyes.
|
:3 Wha's the lil' birb's name?
|
Marty McFly
|
<x'D Ahahaaha! Whyy??
|
Obviously, because the birb built a time machine out of a DeLorean.
|
:D Or, because he can McFly! x'D
|
Love your avatar Witchchylde! Is that a Sailor Scout I spy?
|
Sailor Mercury, Defender of Love and Justice!
|
Yes! I thought maybe Neptune, but was confused about the cat. Since Artimis was part of the inner senshi group. Not really associated with the outer ones. Now it makes sense.
|
I know nothing about Sailor Moon. <x}
But that's neat cosplay Witchy! :] |
Hi! :)
Is it okay if I post here? I recognized mdom |
:} Sure. Panda is here too!
|
You can post anywhere you want on the event boards. Pretty sure you can post on pretty much any board! (Role playing does seem to have a few exceptions.0
|
Okay! :D
I'm really not good at starting conversations, And I'm kinda awkward when I jump in... But I like how kind everyone's been! I feel like I always expect people to be rude or mean to me, so when that's proven wrong I'm always :s-shock: |
Hello Ava. I may have seen you on Pantheon?
I think we all share similar thoughts like that. |
>u> Yeah, I always wonder when someone's just gonna tell me, "get outta here NERD!"
xD Even though I'm not exactly smart enough to be under the nerd classfication. |
Ava - How have you been today? Chased any good squirrels?
Nerd seems to be a pretty board spectrum. There are the smart nerds from school, then there are the subject nerds. Like... otakus! Not all otakus are smart, some just get really into very specialized/specific subjects. |
And then across a fine line, there are geeks...
|
Hmm. I wonder which am I? <:/
I always figured I was more geek because, like, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars, and Harry Potter, and Lovecraft, and Pokémon, and Avatar the Last Airbender, and Old School Disney Animated Moviess, and Twilight Zone. O_O Ohhhhhh so much Twilight Zone... |

I'm Ava there too. Quote:
I don't know why, I just always expect people to be rude or mean, even if I haven't done anything to warrant that kind of response. Quote:
I'm definitely a subject nerd. Hell, I'm cosplaying as Nightcrawler (Kurt Wagner) next month at comic con, I know so many random facts about Kurt Wagner. I am like that with a lot of comics! I love Tales Of The New Teen Titans, I have boxes full of those comics. And some of them are rare! OuO I've spent time building my collection over the years. |
<xc I know next to nothing of the comic world or Superheroes, compared to the majority of comic book fans, although it's very interesting to learn about them. :[
Sadly, I know nothing of D&D or other table top games either. And I'm afraid I don't cosplay or go to cons. <x} Although I've kind of wanted to. I thought about cosplaying as several anime characters, video game characters and maybe as some creatures too. <w<; something to hide my face.. Most I know about is Twilight Zone. :] I've seen all episodes, some lost episodes, own a couple of Twilight Zone comics, an autographed picture from an actor playing the Kanamit in To Serve Man, :3 Some Twilight Zone shirts, I have the whole 5 season box set on blu ray, I know the lines for more than half the episodes, I know a lot of the old actors and recognize them in other roles, and I want to collect books written about Rod Serling and The Twilight Zone, and the Night Gallery, and other adaptations. <x} I guess that's as Nerdy as I get? |
I'm really into comics and superheroes! I've always been lol. I wouldn't say I'm a "super" fan, though. The thing is, I am only really interested in random, minor characters most of the time. I love collecting comic books at good prices at comic cons! I have a few rare ones that I pride myself on owning! Haha. Cosplay is a love of mine, but I didn't really get into it until around 2013.
I've only seen one episode of The Twilight Zone. It was one where a man was all alone, like "last man on earth" type of thing. It was a really good episode. I am easily scared though, and psychological thrillers like that tend to mess with my head. |
:D Sometimes the minor and looked-over characters have really good backstories and adventures. I don't blame ya! ^-^
Oh! That's either "Time Enough at Last" with Burgess Meredith, or "Where is Everybody?" with Earl Holliman. :D Both Season 1 episodes. Dah! >X{ I did it again.. <:] Though there are non-psychological thriller/horror episodes in the Twilight Zone that have more fantasy elements and are a little sweeter. As a Twilight Zone authority on the subject of the show, ^-^ I can recommend Night of the Meek, that's a feel-good Christmas episode about a sad discount store Santa who makes a wish and becomes a real Santa. :] Or, Once Upon a Time which is a sort of silly, time travelling sort of episode where a janitor from the 1890's travels to what WAS the present year in the show, 1961. x} Though a lot of Twilight Zone episodes have that creepy and mysterious and darker sort of vibe to them, not all of them are scary. :] But there are some scary ones. O.O Those are some of my favorites tho. <x} Not a horror buff, but I sort of like being creeped out with a good psychological spook. Thas just me tho. :] |
WELCOME, AVA!!!
\o/ |
Welcome Ava!
|
Thanks for the recommendations, Merskelly. I have never watched Twilight Zone so far, but from what I heard it sounds like an interesting show.
|
Is the new one already on
|
Quote:
How is this possible???! xD no no jk, haha. It's cool. :] I'm willing to introduce people to the show if they've not seen it before, if they ever wanted to watch it. ^-^ It's a very interesting show. :D Possibly one of the best ever written shows for television, because there are very mature lessons and themes pertaining to nostalgia, loneliness, morality, humility, human civility and more. But they're all cloaked in sci-fi, fantasy and supernatural genres, <w< so what you think is an episode on a man playing with the ghost of his son as a little boy at a carnival, (In Praise of Pip) is really about second chances in being a good father and treasuring his son so much more than he treasures the time he spent thinking about the past times he spent with his son. <:] |
I like Black Mirror for that element too
|
HIII!!
Thanks for the warm welcomes :D Quote:
I really enjoyed that episode of The Twilight Zone! In my opinion, I find that older shows/movies are much scarier than the new ones, or those "slasher" ones. The old movies relied more on f*cking with your mind than they did special effects, which I both appreciate and DESPISE at the same time lol. I think the movies being in black and white make them feel more ominous to me too. I don't know why. I just feel nervous when I watch a movie in black and white! |
That could be related to the common theory that most people dream in black and white, so it might feel as if you're experiencing a dream from wich you aren't able to wake yourself. Personally, my dreams have always been in vividcolor.
|
I've always had dreams in color!
:o I didn't even know it was possible to dream in black and white! But I think a black and white dream would scare me. I don't know what it is... but something about black and white movies really freaks me out. Even if the movie isn't supposed to be "scary" |
My dreams def have color :O
|
I can't imagine a dream without color!
It'd be like a dream without sound! |
Some dreams I can't talk and it scares me
|
!!!!
I've had dreams where I can't scream D: Have you ever had dream that you go to turn on the lights, and they don't work?? Those are the scariest to me because I'm afraid of the dark... And every time I try to turn on a light in my dream and it doesn't work, I always end up panicking and my dream turns into a nightmare! |
go away dreams with no voice >:UUU
oh nooo D: For some reason it's always day in my dreams? Or night, but well lit. |
