He wasn't really expecting her to push him back against the bed let alone to stay on top of him. He had a idly concern that she might be pushing herself. Though it wasn't like he could tell her to do otherwise. "Don't push yourself, you should leave before then." He was just trying to make sure she could recover quickly instead of her condition worsening.

Though his worries were pushed aside for her well being as she spoke again saying she'd rather stay here. "once day.. " He said softly. "then we won't have to sneak out just to see one another." Really that sounded nice to him.. though he wasn't sure how she'd take it.

Though he didn't get to think on how she'd react for too long before she seemed to pull back and get a new idea as she stayed on top of him. Sure he felt her going near his ear but he was hopping that she didn't pay what eh did before much mind. But he was not that lucky. He let out a uneasy breath from the simple brushing of her lips against his ear. He was about to tell her to not do that though he didn't get the chance as she nipped it gentle.

He seemed to flinch again before biting his own lip. After he recovered for a moment he managed to speak finally. "don't.. do that " His ears dropped back a little knowing his face was still hot as he spoke. He didn't tell her why to not do it, really he didn't care if she did or not but .. he wasn't sure what to really do with her teasing him like that.

Judith laughed quietly at Rhyldrin's reaction, she nipped at his ear once more before drawing her face away from his. "Why not?" she asked she tried to seem as if she didn't know it was getting to him. Though she could see the darkness in his cheeks despite his dark skin. Judith brought her hand from his hair to the side of his face, she ran her thumb over his cheek gently. "Don't worry about me so much," she brought her lips to his forehead planting a soft kiss on it. Judith then placed a kiss on his cheek once again. "I'm not pushing myself, if I were then you would know. I'm no good at hiding pain." she lifted her face away from his, she smiled weakly. It was true, she didn't have a high tolerance for pain at all. She had pushed herself to stay alive for all of those weeks.

"I think that that would be nice," she whispered to him with a smile on her face. "I would love to live with you though it won't be as easy as it seems." for a moment she chewed on her lower lip nervously as she thought about living with Rhyldrin. "It will be a difficult decision and long process, I don't know where we would live." she laughed a little, her eyes stayed on Rhyldrin. She thought that it was sweet that he wanted to live with her. "We can worry about such things later," she whispered softly to him. "All that matter right now is that I'm with you." her cheeks felt hot as she told him that, she had never said that to any other man before.

Rosekitten 10-05-2011 05:11 PM

"... because.. " He tried to think of what to tell her even. "ok.. so i don't have a good reason" He finally sighed a little and admitting he had no real reason for her to stop.. though then he didn't think she wanted to go that far and tormenting him was a little unfair. listening to her he nodded slightly. "I'll refrain then." At least a little, he didn't mean to over worry but he knew she wasn't as strong as he was, hell even if he didn't admit it to himself if it weren't for him showing up and drawing Anna's attention mostly then Judith would have probably died.

He tried to defend himself a little for having let that thought slip out so causally like it did. "I.. didn't mean you had to decide right now. Heh you could choose to stay where you live now for the rest of your life. I'd still respect your decision." Though he somehow thought she wouldn't pick that, not when shes the one that said she wanted to stay with him not that long ago. "as far as where.. anywhere you want, I wouldn't care" He never thought about the where part, they came from different backgrounds altogether. Hell the longer he thought about it he was questioning if he'd even make her happy in the long run if this continued.

"Your right.. we're both alive and together" Really to admit it what more could he ask for, aside from knowing she'd be his forever. But that wasn't something he could just casually ask. Not yet anyway. Sure they had been friends sense they were children but he still needed to learn how to read her and wait to see if things should go that far or not.

nyreen 10-05-2011 05:46 PM

"I know that," she laughed a little then spoke again. "We can think about all of this stuff later, there's no need to worry about these things right now." she couldn't help but wonder what living with Rhyldrin would be like. Judith would feel guilty for leaving her father alone though she had her own life to live and couldn't stay behind for him. He would understand, maybe not understand why she was leaving to be with a Dark Elf but she was certain that as long as she was happy he would be as well. She laughed a little when he told her that they could live wherever she wanted to live. "It would be rather funny if we lived in the forest, imagine that?" she had said it as a joke though it was a possibility.

Judith's eyes fluttered close, her heart throbbed in her heart. The feeling of Rhyldrin's body against her own was overwhelming. Weeks ago she had feared that she would never be able to feel this again. Weeks ago she feared that she would not live to see him again. She pressed her lips against his own softly at first, then the kiss became rough. Judith pulled away slowly, she kept her lips still very close to his. She kissed him again, more passionately this time, her entire body trembled with pleasure.

She didn't know what it was about him that made her this way. His touch sent her over the edge, every time they were together like this it felt as if she had no control over herself. She loved it. Judith pulled away from the second kiss she breathed out a heavily. She couldn't bring herself to become calm, she didn't want to be calm. Before pulling her face away from his she ran her tongue playfully across his lips teasing him. Judith kissed down the side of his face, she brought her lips to his ear. She smiled knowing that he liked this, he couldn't hide that from her. She kissed his ear gently then nibbled on it playfully.

Rosekitten 10-05-2011 06:11 PM

~Few hour time skip, cause you all know what happened ;P~

Judith seemed to be asleep for the moment with her head resting on his chest. Almost as if she was making sure he was still breathing. Though he didn't mind but he couldn't get to sleep like he had wanted or at least rest before she left to ensure she didn't get into trouble with her father. He was settling on what he needed to do.

After a while longer he did finally settle and make up his mind he needed to head out for something.. though the trip if he was thinking right would take a while. It'll be worth it in the long run though. It's not that he wanted to rush things he just liked being prepared instead of the perfect moment coming up and him not being ready for it.

Though sadly it was getting closer and closer to when she had to leave, though she still seemed to be resting. He didn't really want to wake her she was cute when she looked so peaceful. He moved a hand to brush back a few strands of her hair from her face before he tried to wake her. "Judith.. . you need to get up love." He felt a little guilty for waking her really, but she needed to go. There'd always be another

(bah shortness!)

nyreen 10-05-2011 09:02 PM

( hahahaha of course! )

Judith stirred from her sleep when Rhyldrin spoke her name, she jumped a little as she felt him brushing away her hair gently. "What time is it?" she asked him, though she mumbled her words because she had just woken up. Judith brought herself away from Rhyldrin's warmth. She stretched her arms above her head a yawn escaped from her lips. She sat up in the bed her eyes wandered over the room trying to find her lost dress. Judith let out a sigh as she spotted it though she really didn't want to get up from the bed yet. She fell back against the bed, she brought one hand up to her hair and ran her fingers through her now tangled hair. She closed her eyes for a moment trying to keep herself from wanting more from Rhyldrin, it was almost tempting seeing as neither of them were currently dressed. She opened her eyes then looked over at him with a tired gaze. "I think that you drained the last of my energy," she laughed a little though she really meant what she had said.

Judith turned to lay on her side facing Rhyldrin. A smile crept across her face as she brought herself back to him. Her hand danced up from his stomach to under his chin. "It's too bad that I can't stay with you longer," he said to him, she buried her face against his neck then breathed out a happy sigh. "Though that isn't possible, I can't afford to get in trouble." she kissed his neck softly then pulled herself away from him. She brought herself to the side of the bed then stood, Judith grabbed her dress then pulled it over her body. She grabbed her pair of boots while she was still standing then went to the end of the bed to sit down, she slipped them on and tired them quickly.

She fell back against the bed, her eyes looked at Rhyldrin. "When will I see you next?" she asked him, her smile disappeared. She knew that the last time they had spent the night together he had left her for a week. Judith knew that he was rather busy but hoped that Rhyldrin would stay out of work for a little bit. She wanted to spend some time with him before he disappeared again.

Rosekitten 10-05-2011 09:22 PM

"you have plenty of time.. so don't feel rushed." He had made sure to wake her up with plenty of time to spare, though he didn't want to really. Instead keeping her was a better idea in his mind but at the same time he knew better then that. It's something that would come in due time he supposed. Even if it never did he could still say he was happy either way long as he got to see her once in a while. Though her next comment he smirked at a little before speaking "want me to carry you back then? " he laughed slightly knowing that would be worse then her staying here if her father caught that. Though the offer was there if she really needed it.

He moved a hand to lay over top of hers closing his eyes a moment before speaking. "someday.. if that's what you want that is. I was a little out of line earlier with what I said." He felt like he should say something along the lines of sorry anyway, even if she said he wasn't out of line he felt it was a little bit of a bolt statement. After a moment he released her hand so she could go and get dressed, not that he didn't enjoy watching her either way.

He sat up a little before moving a hand to her face and lightly brushing some of her hair from it with a slight smile. "don't worry .. i'll be around for a few days at the least, after I feel up to it I have a somewhat personal errand I want to run.. the round trip will probably take a few weeks at most." To admit he wasn't keen on leaving her alone that long, not after what happened last time.

He seemed to think on something before speaking again "I was thinking of looking for a work option that keeps me a little closer to here.. as well as being a freelancer pays it's not worth it if i'll be gone at weeks or a month at a time.. " he didn't say that way he could also be here to protect her if it was needed.

nyreen 10-06-2011 04:02 PM

Judith closed her eyes as she listened to him speak, once he was done speaking she nodded a little. She knew that his work would take him away from her, she understood that he couldn't be here all the time for her. "I'm happy that you're not going to push yourself." it was good that Rhyldrin wasn't going off to work immediately. He needed the time to rest after what they had been through. She doubted that seeing him tonight helped much. "I understand that you can't always be here, Rhyldrin." she opened her eyes, she looked at him with a weak smile on her face. "If you want to work closer then I see no problem with it but only do what you want to do, alright?" Judith lifted herself, she brought herself to lay closely beside him. "I'm just happy that I get to spend nights like these with you, even if it may be rare."

"I have to go," she laughed a little then sat up. "If I stay for much longer then I might get too comfortable and fall back asleep." she brought her hands up to her face and rubbed her eyes for a moment. Judith stood from the bed, she walked to where she had tossed her coat and lifted it. "You know where I will be," she slipped into the coat then buttoned it up. She stood for a moment hesitating to bring herself over to Rhyldrin, though she did. Judith leaned down, she placed a kiss against his forehead gently. "Get some rest," she told him then smiled. She gave him a quick kiss on the lips then retreated to the door.

It was a bit awkward really, she didn't want to leave but she couldn't possibly stay. There was a certain thrill with being with Rhyldrin though there was also a certain annoyance. Judith opened the door, she stepped outside of the room then closed it behind her. She was quiet as she left the inn, she left quickly not wanting to be caught in a conversation with anyone. When Judith returned home her father was still in his room, she retreated to her room quickly not wanting him to wake up from her walking throughout the house. She undressed from her clothes then slipped a night gown over her head, Judith climbed into her bed and was greeted with a surprised chirp. Vrine crawled over to her and buried himself against her warmth, Judith let out a quiet sigh then buried her face against her pillow.

Rosekitten 10-06-2011 05:06 PM

Even though she was right that he should just be happy with getting to spend time with her even if it was just once in a while.. he couldn't. Sure most of the time she was fine, what recently happened wasn't something that was common. He knew that but at the same time he wanted to be near her instead of knowing it could be up to a month if not longer before he'd be able to return back here. Really the only thing he wanted to do was be with her, any form of work was merely because he had to. The errand he wanted to run was due to a personal reason that he had finally settled his mind up on.

"I know you do.. " He laughed a little before agreeing with her. He offered to at least walk her halfway back as to prevent her father from seeing she was walking with anyone in case he was up. Though she told him not and started back on that he needed the rest. Sure he did but if he wasn't going to go anywhere to do anything really productive over the next few days then he figured he could easily get plenty of rest. But this time he let her win as to prevent her from worrying further.

Virine was a bit bigger now that he wa back in his dragon form, though he was still hidable in a room.. not so much in clothing anymore. Though really with the new peace talk tween the elves and the dragonkin he could freely walk about as his dragonkin form. Though he seemed to enjoy this form just as much.

~~~~~~~~~~
The next day came on swift wings as the events for the day started to take place. The Queen was returning back to her capital and Bryon was escorting her and her not down to two knights that remained with her. She had given Madaes permission to stay to ensure Rhyldrin didn't hurt himself.
Though long before the Queen and her men were on the move Rhyldrin was up, Madaes was as well. Trailing the poor guy saying he should be resting more instead of being out and walking. Rhyldrin as usual ignored all of his protesting, though Madaes expected that much.
"even though your not on a contract and you still got up that damn early!? what the hells wrong with you" He complained still following him. "nothing.. I see no purpose in sleeping the entire day just because it's a off day.." Madaes sighed a little listening to him. "I swear.. if i didn't know you as a child then id say theres something wrong with you.." Though Madaes knew that its just how he was.
Judith was woken up by the sound of the front slamming shut, she jumped from it. It woke Vrine up when she jumped, his ears went back he let out a quiet whine. Judith looked down at the dragon, she brought a hand to him she began to gently pet him on his head. "Sorry about that," she mumbled quietly, she drew her hand away from him then brought it to her face. She brushed a few stray strands of hair from her face then sat up in her bed. "What time is it?" she wasn't expecting an answer to the question, there was light pouring into the room from her window. It was probably early in the morning, her eyes felt sore from lack of sleep.
She brought herself to the side of her bed, Vrine lifted himself from the bed and watched her curiously. Judith shivered as her feet touched the cold floor, she stood and grabbed her coat. "Don't worry about me, stay here." she told Vrine a she slipped into her coat. She left her room then went downstairs, Judith looked around for her father. She went to the front door then opened it, Judith stepped outside. She crossed her arms over her chest in an attempt to keep herself warm.
Geoffrey had been woken by the group of Dark Elves leaving, he stood not too far from his home watching them almost curiously. Despite Judith thinking that she had left the home without him noticing he had. The sound of her walking about the house in the middle of the night have woken him from his sleep, he had remained awake waiting to see when she would return as well. Though he had not confronted her or questioned what she was doing. He had an idea really. He watched the group for a moment, though his eyes were mostly on one Dark Elf, Rhyldrin. He turned as he heard the front door open, his eyes fell on Judith. "What are you doing up?" he asked her, his ears fell a little. Judith looked at her father, confusion washed over her face. He looked back over at the group then back at her, he brought himself to stand in front of her. "Get inside, it's cold and you're not wearing shoes." he scolded her with a weak smile. "I don't want you to get sick." he added, he pushed her into the house. She peered over at the group of Dark Elves. What was her father doing?
Rosekitten 10-06-2011 10:09 PM
The main group had left already though Madaes and Rhyldrin were still in the city. But Judith's father had been watching the whole event unfold. Sure Rhyldrin knew well enough the man wasn't stupid.. he knew that the first moment they met. Though he was't going to strike up any conversations unless he had to. Not yet anyway, once he was back from his little quest was a different story.
Though really Ehyldrin felt uneasy even asking that of Judith's father, it was a known fact he disliked dark elves let alone he could take a guess her mother was killed by dark elves and after gathering a little information he found out he was right. The man had every right to despise dark elves.. losing his wife and a son tot hem.
Over the next few days Rhyldrin did just as he had told Judith, stayed around the area. Madaes never left his side for the most part or at least during the day hours, he had to have someone to pick fun at, though the day before Rhyldrin was planning to leave for his errand he wanted to run Madaes decided to return home knowing Neimi was going to want full details.
Over the next few nights Judith kept sneaking out of the house, not that he minded but he was a little worried she was going to get ill from the weather change, but she insisted she was fine so he left well enough alone. Though she seemed rather sad to hear he was leaving the next day, she was starting to get use to him being around on a daily basis so it was going to be tough to have him gone at the least two weeks and thats in the weather stayed good.
~~~~~~~~~~

The trip took a bit longer then he had wanted with it being two weeks and a half, though part of the pass he was planning to travel on had a rock slide blocking it.. so there was the issue of finding a damned way around it. Though he did finally make it back to the light elf capital, it was rather funny in the past time after returning from being captive he had yet went back to the dark elves capital.. though what did he really have waiting there.

It was getting to be dark outside by the time he finally did get inside of the capital, though he doubted he'd even see Judith tonight. Probably didn't help that he was dead tired. The trip a a whole was hardly a easy one and he had probably pushed himself a little to make up for the lost time with the pass.

nyreen 10-06-2011 10:31 PM

Judith had continued to sneak out to see Rhyldrin in the middle of the night. She waited for her father to fall asleep before quietly leaving her room to head over to the inn. Despite Judith being quiet as she left her father was woken up almost every time, though sometimes he had not even fallen asleep yet. Geoffrey had began to stay up waiting to see if Judith would leave again. He stayed up after she left the house to make sure that she got home safety. He didn't question his daughter or confront the Dark Elf he had thanked the other day for keeping her safe. Though he knew damn well what could possibly be going on.

The night before Rhyldrin left Judith saw him once last time. She had spent the night in his embrace, despite being sad that he was leaving they laughed and were happy. Before she left she told him to keep himself safe and out of trouble. He had laughed at her though she didn't leave the room until he promised that he would. The morning after she remained in her room not wanting to tempt herself to go with Rhyldrin, though she knew he would probably tell her to stay at the Capital anyways. When she woke up she was greeted by her father who had been cooking.

They spoke though there was something off about the conversation. Her father seemed a little tense, Judith knew that there wasn't really any reason for him to be so. She didn't ask him what was wrong, she kept to herself and tried her best to ignore his behaviour. Really he had been acting strangely for the past few days. It had crossed Judith's mind that perhaps he knew about her sneaking out of the house but she quickly pushed those thoughts out of her head. She stood from the kitchen table, she gathered the dishes then piled them on the counter.

Judith turned to leave though stopped, she looked up at her father who had brought himself to stand beside her. He watched her for a moment, a weak smile on his face. Judith's heart pounded in her chest so hard that she could hear it, her ears dropped. Why was he looking at her like that? She knew that he had something on his mind. "Have you met any men recently?" he asked her casually though the question stung a little. Judith's face felt hot, she looked away from him. Her eyes shifted around the room nervously seeking a reason to leave. "I-" she stuttered, she pushed pass him. "No, why would you ask that?" she laughed nervously. Judith slipped her feet into her shoes then grabbed her coat. "We're running low on food, I need to run out for a few things." she slipped into her coat quickly then left the house, she felt as if she was going to be sick.

------

Judith's father didn't ask her any questions after that, he left her alone and minded his own business. Though he really didn't want to, he planned to speak to the Dark Elf if he saw him again in the Capital. He noticed that after the Dark Elf left Judith had stopped sneaking out at night and returning in the early hours of the morning. He really didn't know how to feel about this situation.

It was late at night when Judith retreated to her yard to read. It was a warmer Fall night and she planned to take advantage of it. She brought a blanket and laid it across the grass. Judith placed a few candles around her carefully so that she could see. She laid against the blanket on her stomach, she flipped through the pages until she reached the page she had bent.

Rosekitten 10-06-2011 10:44 PM

Really he had the plan of going right to the tavern and getting a room so he could just pass out for the night. Though he wasn't quite in luck. Though then again you could say he was rather lucky having already planned to not see Judith for the night let alone let her know he was back. He had to pass by her house to get to where he needed to go out of all the odds, he had half a mind to see if he could get in touch with her.. she was probably worried he told her only two weeks.

Though he wouldn't even have to sneak in as he started to change his mind and just tell her tomorrow or something as to prevent her from getting into any trouble if he was caught in his tired state. What were the odds that she'd be sitting outside in the yard reading a book? Though he never really knew that she liked reading till he noticed it was her sitting outside with a few candles.

Whatever she was reading she seemed very focused on, so much so he didn't even have to try to sneak up on her as he walked towards her. He stood there a few moments before he bothered speaking. Though before he did so he skimmed over the pages she was reading on with a bit of a smirk. After another moment he moved forward so he could speak near her ear before he said anything, he wasn't really trying to scare her but she was engulfed in this book.

"knights on white horses huh.. is that what you fantasize about while I'm gone" He moved just in case she was going to try to hit him for probably startling her. Though all the same he was laughing a little at it, to each their own, then again he never saw a point in treading all that much.

nyreen 10-06-2011 10:56 PM

Judith jumped as she suddenly heard someone speak, she held back a scream afraid that it would wake her father or anyone else. She recognized the voice and when she looked up she recognized the man's face as well. She looked back down at the book in her hands for a moment, she felt a little embarrassed from his comment. "Why would you do that to me?" she asked him, she was a little angry that he had startled her though she didn't plan to give him a good smack yet. Judith folded the corner of the page that she was on then closed the book. "Do you get something out of scaring me?" she asked teasing him, she looked back up at him with a smile on her face. "You're an ass, you go away then come back and the first thing you want to do is scare me?" Judith lifted the closed book from her lap, she smacked his leg with it though not hard enough to really hurt him.

She then placed the book beside her allowing it to rest there. "I don't think that you deserve a kiss for that!" of course she did want a kiss from him though she wanted to tease him for a bit. "Or anything else!" she added, a quiet laugh escaped from her lips, she raised one of her hands and brought it to one of his own. "How was your trip?" she asked him, she wrapped her fingers around his hand then squeezed it. "Oh and I don't fantasize about knights on white horses," her smile grew wide. "I fantasize about you only." she purred.

Rosekitten 10-06-2011 11:06 PM

"No not really, but it proves how little you pay attention" He smiled a little, though he didn't really think twice about starling her, really it was common for him to do so. It was more of a game to him she never was one to keep her guard up at all times so it was almost too easy. "oh .. well if i'm a ass I can go back about what I was doing. I could have walked right on by here never stopping to say a word and you'd have never noticed" He shrugged a little though he was just teasing her, she probably knew better then him just willingly walking past without saying a word to her.

"aw.. I didn't even scare you that badly.. I could have done worse if I had wanted." He made a slight face maybe he'd have to think twice on this little game if she was going to pull that card over him. "guess i'll have to live with just being near you, unless thats being revoked as well" He smirked a bit turning her threat against her a little.

He moved his hand a little so he cold hold hers and seemed to think of how to explain how the trip went. "well.. it was long, part of the pass was blocked so it took a few extra days to even get there.. " He sighed a little "we won't count the idiots I crossed to get there.. you'd think human bandits would think twice about trying to jump a dark elf on the road.. but what do I know" He didn't seem all that worried about the whole experience then again he probably wasn't.

"Oh?" He questioned her when she said she didn't fantasize about knights on white horses. Though he smirked a little with her comment she seemed to coo out "s that soo.. well I'm not convinced, I mean the first thing I get called is a ass and then you hit me?" He laughed slightly, though he was purely teasing her neither of the two really had bothered him in the least.

nyreen 10-13-2011 03:32 PM

( this was bad D: )

Judith's brow wrinkled when Rhyldrin told her that he had been attacked, she had been terribly worried about such events happening. She lifted herself from the blanket, she crossed her arms over her chest and pouted slightly. "I was worried about that," she breathed out a sigh then looked up at him. "I was worried about you getting in trouble, about you getting hurt." it had crossed her mind many times while he was away, when he didn't return when he had said he would it made her worry even more. "Though I know that you can take care of yourself so I try to tell myself not to worry too much." she smiled weakly at him.

"I could convince you but," she went a little quiet then took a step towards him. Judith's ears fell, an almost wild smile crept across her face she kept her eyes on Rhyldrin. "I don't think it would be very appropriate if I tried to convince you considering where we are right now." she purred, she brought herself close to him though their bodies did not touch.

A sudden noise caught Judith's attention, she brought herself away from Rhyldrin and looked away from him. Her ears remained down, her face felt hot and her stomach felt knotted. "Oh..." was all she could manage to say. Her father stood by the back door, her arms crossed over his chest. Judith didn't know what to say to her father. She felt nervous, had he heard their entire conversation? "Get in the house!" he barked at her, Judith flinched when she heard him speak. She hesitated to listen to him for a moment though finally walked over to him. He didn't say anything to Judith again, she kept her eyes away from him afraid to look at him. She quickly opened the back door and fled into the house. Geoffrey watched Rhyldrin, he did not move from where he stood. He was clearly not amused by what he had seen and heard.

Rosekitten 10-13-2011 07:49 PM

"I keep telling you to stop worrying, tsk.. fucking bandits are hardly something to worry about." He shrugged a little. "Hell they might as well consider it lucky i was in a good mood, they still have their breath." Really that was saying something for him to go through the trouble of leaving them alive. "besides i was trying to stay out of trouble, not my fault there are idiots in the world willing to attack a dark elf that's armed."

Though her next words were a bit of a taunt, he was about to call her out on being a tease but didn't. She was right this wasn't the place, plus his plan wasn't to get her in trouble. Though it would seem the luck they had up until now had run dry.

After Judith left both sides seemed to refrain from moving, let alone speaking as they watched one another. If it weren't for the fact that Rhyldrin didn't want to be on bad terms with this very person a fight could have broken out at any second. Though he wasn't sure that one wasn't still going to break out, this man clearly did not like what he had just walked into and there was no hiding any of it now. Before at the least they could just say they knew one another.. but clearly there was more going on then that.

"You again.." the man seemed to hiss out towards Rhyldrin, still clearly showing he wasn't happy with this situation. "I knew she was sneaking out and it seemed odd it stopped the moment you weren't around, I know why now." He went on to say, though the tension between these two was still thick enough to cut with a knife. Though Rhyldrin seemed to refrain from speaking, what was he suppose to say, anything could set this guy off.

"Why are you hanging around my daughter!" He snapped finally, the sudden outburst nearly caused Rhyldrin to jump, though he refrained from doing so as he seemed to think of what to even say to that. "Just as a friend... if it'll spare her any trouble I'll stop seeing her. I was simply checking that she was ok." He seemed to keep his voice calm and level while giving as respectable a answer as he could to the furious male before him, he didn't need a fight to start between a light and dark elf, not over this.

Geoffrey frowned a bit listening before snapping again. "why would that matter to you?" Rhyldrin had to laugh slightly, that was almost too easy. "We'll just say I've tried to watch out for her since we were children.." He wasn't trying to mock the guy but it was the truth, really if it weren't for that he doubted he really have bonded with her at all over these years.

The other man seemed to question this before putting a few things together. "You.. you were the one when she was a child that she snuck out to see as well?!" Rhyldrin nodding a little though his ears dropped a little. "I know she got in trouble for it.. I got my fair share of that deal as well.. heh" He swore his goal wasn't to get her in trouble but this would be at least twice now wouldn't it.

Geoffrey seemed to grow quite for a moment, having calmed down a little as well as he thought over things. He just wanted to protect his only daughter, the last he had of his family. But she had put her trust in the very person before him for so many years, why what was it about him that she was drawn to. He took a few steps from the house so whatever else he had to say wouldn't be heard if Judith was trying to listen.

"Mind telling me the truth now? Saying your just friends isn't going to cut it dark elf.. I may not know whats going on but I am her father.. and I know very well her mood changes when your around." His words scared Rhyldrin a little in truth, he wasn't expecting the man to out right tell him to spit out whats really going on.

He wasn't even sure how to word this, he needed to tell him, he pretty much seemed to know the basis of what was going on so it might as well be now or never. "Sir.. " He sighed a little. "Your right I did lie before, I was trying to prevent any blame of us speaking falling upon her." Geoffrey crossed his arms and seemed to be getting impatient. "Well then out with it, you have something else you want to say and your not saying it, I've been alive longer then you have, it's easy to read body language even with someone who's hiding it."

Rhyldrin wasn't sure he liked this guy too much if he could see through that, though he finally gave in knowing there wasn't a way of getting out of saying what he needed to say now. "It's.. about your daughter, Judith. " He paused a moment trying to word this as best as he could without stepping over his boundaries. "I.. I want to ask for her hand, and your blessing on the request." He said before kneeling in front of the man.

In almost the same movement he had drawn a blade out holding it handle first towards Geoffrey. "If you disregard this request please just strike me down here and now." The two seemed to fall silent, Rhyldrin was being dead serious in he request for both parts as he waited to see what action the man would take.

"She means that much, you'd give your life?" He seemed to question this concept a little thinking it over in his mind. "My life is nothing, not without her." Geoffrey seemed to still think on these answers, sure his distaste for dark elves was known well enough, but he also knew Judith was happier whenever this one was around.

"Put your blade away and stand." He said flatly before he seemed to eye Rhyldrin over still debating his thoughts. "You better make her happy.. if i hear otherwise I'll make sure to make your life a living hell while you still draw breath dark elf.. " he growled out a little before walking towards the house and going inside. Rhyldrin wasn't sure but that was probably as close to a yes as he was going to get.

Once Geoffrey was inside he glared at Judith. "what are you doing trying to listen to other's conversations! I raised you better then that." He never gave any hint at all to the conversation he had with Rhyldrin, he didn't really want to give the dark elf the permission he asked for, but he knew that Judith was happy with him or at least being around him.

Despite her father possibly wanting her to go to her room Judith remained in the kitchen. She lingered by the back door quietly, her ears perked up as she tried to listen to their conversation. It felt as if her head was going to explode at any moment, what was going to happen now? Of course Judith knew of her father's dislike for Dark Elves more than any other person in the world. When she tried to imagine what he would say to her when he later confronted her it made her nervous. What would she say? What would she do? She would be a nervous wreck when he finally brought himself to speak to her. That was if he could even bare to look at her anymore after what he had seen, her being so close to Rhyldrin like that.

Judith pulled herself away from the back door as she heard someone approaching. Her eyes searched the kitchen for a reason to give for why she was still downstairs rather than up in her room hiding from everyone. She went to the kitchen table, perhaps she still had some time to retreat to her room upstairs. Though before she could find anything or retreat from the kitchen she heard the back door creak open, then someone stepped into the house and slammed it behind them. Judith jumped a little despite expecting it, she reluctantly looked towards the door. Her ears fell and a nervous smile crept across her face, she wanted to speak though she held back her words.

There was something odd about her father though she couldn't really understand why she even saw that. He didn't seem as upset as she had expected him to be. He didn't go straight to the alcohol to drown himself in because of what he had seen. He was not yelling at her or breaking things like he had done when she was a child. Judith tapped her fingers on the surface of the kitchen table as she watched her father, he stood by the kitchen door and looked right back at her. The fact that he was not speaking but was managing to look at her made her feel as if she could spit up what she had had for dinner.

"I'm a lot smarter than you think I am," Judith could hear her heart pounding in her ears, she continued to watch her father despite being so nervous. She would not look away from him. "I knew that you were sneaking out at night, I knew that you were seeing a man." he stepped away from the back door then slipped off his coat and hung it on a hook by the door. He looked over at Judith. "I also happened to notice that you stopped sneaking out once that Dark Elf left." though Judith was rather pale to begin with it looked as if any color she had had drained from her face.

Geoffrey cleared his throat, when he took a step towards Judith and brought himself to stand in front of her she flinched. "I'm not going to yell at you or scold you," he breathed out a sigh. "You're a damn woman now, not a child anymore." Judith wanted to speak though she hesitated to, her father was not done speaking and she was afraid to anger him if she interrupted him. "You're the only one I have left now, Judith." his voice cracked a little though he did not cry. "I know that you're grown but you will always be my little girl and all I want is for you to be happy." a weak smile grew on Geoffrey's face, he took a step away from Judith. "If this is what makes you happy then so be it." he mumbled quietly, he looked away from Judith for a moment then brought his eyes back to her. Her ears fell, Judith could feel her body shaking. What had her father just said to her?

Her father walked away from her, Judith wanted to grab his arm and ask him to repeat what he had said though she knew what he had said. "I'm going to bed now," he said to her before retreating upstairs to his room. Judith stood silently in the kitchen, she listened to him go to his room then close the door quietly behind him. Judith's eyes went to the back door and she went to it without hesitation. She opened the door then took a step outside. Her eyes fell on Rhyldrin who still remained in the back yard. She wanted to speak though she wasn't quite sure what to say.

Rosekitten 10-16-2011 11:24 AM

Rhyldrin was a little lost in his thoughts the man had said yes, he was really expecting to have his breath still at this moment with the stupid stunt he had pulled. Madaes would have killed him for the simple fact he gave someone, willingly at that, the ability to kill him. But he had no other way to really prove to Geoffrey how much Judith meant to him other then the actions he took. Whatever happened it seemed to work at the least.

Sure he heard a minor bit of talking or what sounded like talking in the house but he never bothered to move at all. He was still getting over his shock he had gotten a yes to his question. Sure he shouldn't be that shocked but given the circumstances he thought it was damn well not happening.

He was brought out of his slight daze as Judith seemed to walk outside. She just stood there though, probably terrified of whatever they had spoken about, though she'd learn sooner or later what the conversation was. Seeing as she didn't speak right away he shrugged his shoulders a little and spoke instead. "Well I guess I don't have to climb through the window anymore now." He didn't really mean to make it sound like a joke but it did in a way, though it was the truth also.

nyreen 10-16-2011 11:37 AM

Judith almost allowed laughter to escape from her though she held it back, she was still rather nervous and unsure of what to think. All of this time she doubted that her and Rhyldrin could ever grow to be more than just secret lovers. She never thought that her father could possibly approve of their relationship but he had and it would take a bit for her to grasp it. "That is a very good point, isn't it?" she managed a smile though it was weak and probably would not last very long. It was odd to think that she no longer had to sneak Rhyldrin into her room and that she no longer had to sneak out in the middle of the night to go see Rhyldrin when he stayed at the inn.

She walked over to Rhyldrin, she brought herself to stand in front of him. "I can't believe that this is happening," she said then looked up at Rhyldrin. Judith brought her hands to rest on his shoulders, she leaned against him. "I swear if this is a dream then I do not wish to wake up from it." she laughed quietly then breathed out a quiet sigh. Judith wondered what her father could be thinking right now considering what had just happened. She doubted that he agreed with it as much as it made it seem he did to her, she knew that he was probably the last person who would accept a Dark Elf in their household.

Geoffrey really did love his daughter, enough to put aside his dislike for Dark Elves because he simply wanted to see her happy. He saw the way she behaved when she had been seeing Rhyldrin. Geoffrey knew that she had been devastated by her mother's sudden death and it was good to see Judith happy once again. Though if the Dark Elf were to fail at making his daughter happy then there would certainly be conflict between the two like he had warned Rhyldrin just moments ago.

Rosekitten 10-16-2011 11:49 AM

He'd have to tell Judith one day of the true conversation that took place, but for now he needed a cover up knowing for sure she'd ask him what happened. She didn't seem worse for wear aside from nerves so whatever the man had said to her must have been good or at least for him on the terms of good. Though at the same time this marked the beginning of any true struggles they would need to face. Her father did like to drink all it would take is one time of him getting drunk and then telling his drinking buddies and word would get around that there was a dark elf courting a light elf. He nearly feared when that happened, there were enough against this on both sides.

He shook his head a little as she walked close and leaned against him speaking her mind. "Nope, pretty sure it's not a dream. If it is then this is among the worse dreams ever.. " She looked at him confused by his words. "I mean in the fact I'm still sore from walking, not what just was found out .. silly" He had moved his arms to hold her close by this point, what did he care anymore, he wasn't going to fail in keeping her happy no matter what.

Though he had to admit he had never been so nervous in his life when speaking to someone, even if the conversation went smoothly deep down he feared every reply from the other. "Don't worry about what was said.. we'll just leave it that I'm good with words." He laughed slightly, that was a way to put it. He did have a way with words in truth. Though he probably got that from his parents easily enough. She seemed to accept this answer for now, though he knew some day she'd try to pry out of his what was really said, maybe after her nerves were resettled.

Standing there a few moments he finally spoke up again looking down at her with a bit of a smile, between his own nerves and the trip back here he was more then tired by now. It was starting to show a little and he knew it but he wasn't ready to give her up just yet. "Doing any better? your not trembling anymore." When she had first walked out and moved towards him she was trembling like a leaf, she seemed to calm down a little by this point.

nyreen 10-20-2011 02:58 PM

Judith desperately wanted to ask Rhyldrin what had been said between him and her father, though she hesitated to do so. She was also still rather shocked by her father's sudden behaviour. Judith had suspected him to yell at her, to scold her as if she was nothing but a child but he did not. Instead he had treated her like an adult and talked to her with respect. One thing that Judith knew was that Rhyldrin had told her father about their relationship. What he had said to her made that very clear. She wasn't angry that Rhyldrin had told him, she was thankful for it. It had saved her from telling him herself and she didn't even know how she would have told him.

Judith shot him a quick look as he said that if this was a dream then it was the worst one. Though when he spoke again she swallowed the words that she had wanted to say. "It's a good thing though, isn't it?" she asked with a weak smile on her face. "I was going to eventually tell him of course though I don't even know how I could have brought myself to do that." she breathed out a sigh then pried herself away from Rhyldrin. "He... seemed a little upset which I had expected but he did not yell at me or scold me as if I was a child." her eyes wandered over her house wondering if her father was listening. "He just wants me to be happy, he's going to accept this because I'm happy."

She looked back at Rhyldrin a laugh escaped from her though it was only brief. "I'm not going to try to get any information out of you, whatever you said made my father less upset it seems." she crossed her arms over her chest then slightly pouted. "Though I'm not going to lie at all, I am rather curious about the conversation that had happened out here." Judith brought herself back to Rhyldrin, she rested against him once again enjoying the warmth that she had missed. "You seem so tired," she mumbled quietly, her ears fell a little and she looked up at Rhyldrin. "You should go rest soon, I need some rest myself after all of this."

Rosekitten 10-20-2011 04:07 PM

He shrugged a little "I never said it wasn't good, but i'd like to think dreams come without fatigue." Though when he heard her talk that she was going to tell him eventually anyway he smiled a little "well I saved you from that now didn't I.. heh without meaning to in truth." He nodded slightly listening to her "Your all he has left.. of course he wants you to be happy, trust me he's still very protective of you. But he has every right to be."

He smirked a little when she spoke again about getting information from him. "good cause it wouldn't do you any good, you'll find out someday." He shrugged off her slight pouting. "I said what I thought needed to be said, nothing more." He would tell her someday what had been said.. but he'd have to wait till after a few events had taken place first.

He looked down at her nodding slightly. "I am.. though I think that's to be expected.. it was a long trip after all." He moved a little as he kissed her lips softly. "you should get some rest as well, maybe we can do something tomorrow seeing as the cats out of the bag."

(kicks my crappy post)

nyreen 10-20-2011 04:27 PM

Judith flinched a little as his face became close to hers, when he kissed her she melted in his arms instantly. It had been so long since the last time she had seen Rhyldrin, his touch made her heart skip happily in her chest. Though she seemed a little bit more calm now she was still a little on edge from what had happened only moments ago. "You should go to the inn and rest then, you shouldn't be pushing yourself so much." Judith breathed out a sigh and brought a hand up to Rhyldrin's face, she placed it under his chin. "You're going to get sick if you don't rest or eat properly." she felt like his mother always telling him to rest enough and to eat enough. Despite trying very hard to not worry and to think positively Judith did worry a lot about Rhyldrin.

"I would invite you to stay in my home though I think that it is too soon to be doing such things," she laughed though it was a very weak laugh. "Perhaps in the future when the idea of us being together has settled a bit more with my father. I see no reason for you not to come over but I don't think that you sleeping in the same bed as me would really sit well with him at all." the last thing that Judith wanted to do was upset her father. Even having Rhyldrin in the home with him around would probably not be a good idea right now, though eventually it would happen with her father home.

Judith brought the hand from under Rhyldrin's chin to the back of his head, she twirled his hair around her fingers and played with it. "You can come see me tomorrow, I had not planned to do anything." she whispered quietly to him, despite her father knowing now she still felt as if she should keep their plans with each other as private as she possibly could. Though he probably couldn't hear them from his room if she was quiet, she was worrying too much as always.

Rosekitten 10-20-2011 04:42 PM

He frowned a little before shaking his head. "I'll be fine, I don't remember the last time I was sick.. ." He shrugged a little "You worry too much, save it for when you have kids." Though he said it he never had any thoughts on kids, but he had a point kids were a handful.. they needed to be worried about. Really he didn't think he was pushing himself all that much, not yet anyway.

"Don't worry about it, I'm not trying to push my luck.. heh" He wouldn't have felt comfortable staying there anyway, really he wasn't that relaxed staying at the inn here. Towns were too crowded for his tastes though he figured Judith liked staying here, she never said otherwise so he never asked. "Visiting once in a while wouldn't be too bad... " Though to admit it her father made him nervous, he wasn't sure why really maybe because of the fact that he was taking the last family the man had, he didn't want to over step his boundaries.

"Well then.. tomorrow it is." He moved slightly kissing her once more. After he got her to stop messing with his hair he said his good nights for now before leaving. He still had quite a bit to do before things were really settled.. but they could be dealt with a little at a time instead of forcing it all at her at once. Aside from that he was too tired to bother thinking about any of it.

nyreen 10-20-2011 04:58 PM

( Sorry this post sucks. xD )

Judith shook her head a little when Rhyldrin told her that she should save all of her worrying for when she had children. She bit her tongue not wanting to tease Rhyldrin about his comment. The poor man was too tired anyways, she would leave him alone for now. Though it made her wonder if he was dropping a hint or if it was just simply a comment and that was all. Judith knew that she at least wanted to have one child though she had never really thought about having a child up until now. She wondered if Rhyldrin would even want to have a child.

Her eyes fluttered close as he brought his lips to her own once again, Judith released his hair from her grip and allowed him to pull away from herself. "If you still need to rest tomorrow then I will understand," she said aloud as he left her. "Take care of yourself!" she added then laughed quietly to herself. Judith turned towards her house, she quietly opened the door then shut it behind her. Judith paused for a moment to listen for her father, though no noise came from upstairs. She removed her coat, hung it then retreated upstairs to her bedroom.

------

Surprisingly Judith had woken later than usual. She quickly dressed then went downstairs, she expected to see her father in the kitchen or the living room but he was no where to be found. He was not even in his own room or on their property. She assumed that he was out working despite. Judith made herself something to eat quickly then as usual she cleaned up the house as much as she could. Her father worked hard and she would feel guilty if the first thing he did was clean rather than rest.

Once she was done inside of the house she went outside to tend to the little garden that she had planted earlier in the Summer. Though due to the weather becoming colder she found that most of the plants were beginning to wither and die. She picked what was left and tossed the vegetables and fruits that were no good to the side for animals to take care of them.

Rosekitten 10-20-2011 05:31 PM

He had slept well enough, though something was telling him this little era of peace wouldn't last. Why did he feel like a doom saying with such thoughts. Though they were probably true enough. He just had a gut feeling something would happen, and he didn't want it to not when things were finally going well. Maybe he was wrong for a change and was just stressed or something from everything that was going on.

Though his sleep was disrupted as he felt like someone was watching him. Opening his eyes he was met with a pair of bright yellow eyes looking down at him. e flinched a little nearly forcing himself out of the bed. "fuck! Don't do that.. geese.. " He growled a little sitting up and rubbing his head. The dragon boy sat there with a smile on his face still. "well it was time for you to get up, it's early afternoon"

Rhyldrin sighed a little before bothering to get up and get dressed, sure he was still a little tired but he figured it'd wear off once he was awake. The boy still followed him staying in his humanoid form. really it was a little out of place seeing Rhyldrin with a kid, he hardly seemed like the type to want them around. Though he never had given the idea of a family much thought to be honest. He continued to follow Rhydrin as he left the tavern, not like he had anything better to do.

nyreen 10-20-2011 07:49 PM

Judith had noticed that Vrine had vanished from her room though she didn't think too much of it. The boy could take care of himself and she doubted that he would get himself into much trouble. Despite being much bigger than he once was he could still move throughout the Capital without being spotted. Judith had faith that he would not be caught though if he was then she didn't think it would cause too much trouble. Now with the peace between the Elves and the Dragonkin it seemed that things were settling down finally. The Dragonkin had provided Bryon with help because of the events in the past, in return Byron gave them help as well. They were being more friendly with each-other than they had ever been before.

She lifted herself from her garden and carried what she had picked to the house. Judith left the back door open allowing a chilly breeze to creep into the house. She filled a few bowls with what she had picked then returned outside to see what else could be done. She too felt that something was terribly wrong though she pushed those thoughts away. Judith knew that everything could only get better now, she had to stop worrying about every little thing. It was true, she worried too much and it would probably make her sick one day.

Though she couldn't help but notice a stronger presence of guards than there had been over the past weeks. She hoped that she was wrong, the last thing that she wanted to happen was something awful again. Everything seemed to be alright now, her father knew about her and Rhyldrin. It wasn't much though it was a start. The fact that her father was accepting their relationship was very good. She couldn't help but wonder when Rhyldrin would ask her to live with him, where would they live? She smiled to herself thinking about how wonderful it would be to wake up beside him every morning and to fall asleep in his arms.

Rosekitten 10-20-2011 08:10 PM

Walking through the city he noticed the odd number of guards stationed at the different areas, what in the world was going on.. This bothered his more with his thoughts from last night that something felt off in the air. Vrine was still following Rhyldrin, the two got a few odd looks, it was still a bit of a rare site for a dragonkin to be seen here but it was happening from time to time.

By the time the two reached Judith's house she seemed to be outside lost in whatever day dream she was in. Vrine Walked ahead a few steps looking at Judith unable to get her attention. "Thinking about those knights again?" he laughed slightly figuring a smart comment would work if anything make her blush that she was lost in her thoughts.

"by the way.. you lost something .." he said making a gesture towards Virne who seemed to smile at the comment. It was hard to think the kid was just that a kid.. he was nearly as tall as Judith but the dragonkins were naturally tall.. once he was a adult he'd be a good foot or two taller then Rhyldrin.

nyreen 10-21-2011 11:46 AM

Judith jumped a little as she was pulled from her thoughts, her ears fell and she gave Rhyldrin an unimpressed look. "We already talked about this, didn't we?" she asked then looked up at him. Her eyes fell from Rhyldrin when he mentioned that she had lost something. "I was wondering where you went," she said then shook her head a little. "You should at least tell me that you're going to wander off, I was a bit worried this morning when I woke up and you were nowhere to be found!" Vrine was nearly as tall as Judith, it was a bit odd to see that a child was about her height.

Judith breathed out a sigh then looked back up at Rhyldrin. "Did you notice anything?" she asked him suddenly, she crossed her arms over her chest. "I don't know how to explain it but something doesn't feel right." she added a worried expression washed over her face. "It doesn't help that there seems to be much more guards on patrol." for a moment she chewed on her lower lip nervously then stopped as she continued to speak. "We're not being told something though if there is something wrong I don't think that Bryon would keep it from us for too long. Something is wrong, everyone seems to be on edge."

Rosekitten 10-21-2011 11:48 PM

"We did, but it seemed to work to get you out of your daze" He smirked a little knowing he was right. Vrine pouted a little "I didn't get hurt.. besides if i didn't run off he'd still be asleep... " He said pointing towards Rhyldrin. "You try walking for two days .. see how much you sleep"

"notice.. oh the guards?" He had noticed but he wasn't going to think too much about it. "hrm.. I think I might go about finding some information. I don't like this.. at all." He did seem a little worried now that she had brought it up, what was being hidden.. were the dark elves prepared for something as well? "I know someone that might know more information .. if I can't get it out of the king that is."

nyreen 10-22-2011 12:04 AM

"For a king Bryon is rather weak at keeping things to himself," Judith laughed quietly then looked up at Rhyldrin when she had her fill of watching the guards. "You might not even get to him before he spills what is wrong." Judith paused for a moment, she bit her tongue. Though it wasn't a bad thing to tell Rhyldrin these things unless of course he decided to take advantage of it. Then again everyone knew that lying or hiding things was not was Bryon did best. "He allows his nerves to get the best of him. You think that a king would be much stronger than he is, huh?"

"Then again he's no different than us so it isn't really surprising." she threw back her shoulders in a brief shrug, her eyes fell from Rhyldrin and went to Vrine. "Are you hungry?" she asked sweetly, a smile crept across her face and she reached out one hand for him to give her one of his. "I just picked some vegetables and fruits, you can have as many as you want to!"

Rosekitten 10-22-2011 12:46 AM

"I more of wanted to know in the fact I do have a duty of sorts to serve if something is going on.. even if I'm not part of the official forces of the dark elves." He listened to her before shaking his head a little. "he's stronger ten you think, even if he can't hide the facts doesn't make him weak in the least, it's better to let the people know instead of hiding things till the end at times. Even if it'll cause panic among them." He had a point, he himself would rather know and have the time to prepare rather then be caught at the last moment with nothing to be done.

Vrine nodded at her question of if he was hungry, gladly moving to follow her. "I think I might go look into this now, rather then wait. For the guards to be this active... even during the war there weren't this many." He'd be the one to know seeing as he did sneak into the light elves capital a few times.

nyreen 10-22-2011 01:11 AM

"It's just surprising to see a king who even though he can't hold things in is so willing to let his people know everything, what I said came out wrong." Judith took Vrine's hand in her own, she looked up at Rhyldrin and smiled weakly. "It's good that he does not hide things or lie to us, he couldn't even if he wanted to anyways!" she laughed quietly then returned her eyes to the young boy beside her. "I have a few other things in the house if you don't want what I picked earlier, you can help yourself, alright?" Judith walked with the young boy to her back door, she looked up at Rhyldrin once more before retreating into her house.

It was true, Bryon had been alerted by an unexpected problem. Though after all that had happened it wasn't nearly as surprised or panicked as he really should be. Humans had become a problem now and not only where there humans to deal with, they seemed to had made new friends. Orks, creatures that Bryon had never seen since he was a small child. They were unheard of considering that they had been banished from nearly everywhere in the world for their violent behaviour and their unstoppable thirst to bring destruction to wherever they went. No wonder the humans had recruited them.

Bryon should have known better, only days ago he had planned to ask for peace between the humans and those that he currently called his allies. He was naive, wasn't he? He was an absolute fool who appeared to be easy to take advantage of. Bryon was nothing like his father, he felt as if he was too weak to rule of the Light Elves. Though he knew that if it wasn't for himself then the Light Elves would still be in an endless war with the Dark Elves.

Rosekitten 10-22-2011 01:21 AM

The dragonkin happily followed her, really he was so use to Judith and Rhyldrin he might as well have been their kid, aside from blood. Though he was hardly bothered by that, really he had grown on Rhyldrin a bit.. though he was still adjusting to the fact he had a non dragon form.

Rhyldrin walked off leaving Judith with Vrine, he'd be back after he had some answers. The guards questioned why he needed to see the king. He glared at them a little before speaking up. "I think you know why and if you don't you'll know soon enough.. I asked to speak to Lord Bryon though.. no you." He hissed his words, but they got trough this time around.

The guard went and sought the king out telling him who was here and that he wished to speak. Bryon was hardly a stupid man, he knew the dark elf had a idea of what was going on even if the foe was unknown. Once the guard returned he walked Rhyldrin to the room the king was in before leaving the two alone.

"So you noticed quickly after your return.. " Rhyldrin frowned a little. "i'm hardly the only one that notices. I just need a few facts.. and you know the ones I speak of." Bryon sighed heavily looking to the other man in the room now before speaking. "we're about to have another war, but im sure you could have guessed this. Sadly it is two joined foes.. both have the upper hand on our units."

Rhyldrin frowned more listening to him. "So a call to arms then.. Surely you don't mean that.. between the light and dark elves we have the seer numbers to protect ourselves." He spoke a little boldly to be of no noble blood. "we shall not fall, not matter you have to think this,it's your duty to keep the people convinced of this."

Bryon looked at Rhyldrin who was giving him a bit of a cocky smirk knowing he was right. He might have been a weak leader.. but his had powerful allies that was certain. "You are right.. we shall not"

( Meh, bad post! )

It was a good thing to have allies with such events unfolding now. Bryon knew that he many allies though he could not help but be nervous. It wasn't a surprise that he was overwhelmed by his nerves. It was odd that the stress he experienced each and every day did not cause him to become seriously ill. Bryon doubted that his luck would last any longer, if he didn't change something then he would certainly go before it was his time. He didn't like the thought of leaving his people without a heir. Bryon would marry soon, he could not escape the fact that he needed a son or daughter to take his place when he passed. There was a Light Elf who seemed to have interest in him, she had even spoken to him about marriage before. He would ask her, there was a woman who he wished that he could ask though he knew it would be best not to. It was better to be with someone who was also royalty.

Bryon had already sent a few knights to travel to the Dark Elf Capital to ask for their help, the knights were also told to inform the Dark Elf Queen everything. Though Bryon doubted that she had not heard of anything yet, it was impossible to miss such an unusually site. Humans and Orks working together. The size of the army was also hard to miss.

After Judith prepared Vrine something to eat she pulled out a chair at the kitchen table for him to sit. She wondered how hard it would be to explain to her father that she knew this Dragonkin if he happened to come home. Though maybe things would not surprise him as much as she thought they would. Considering what he had discovered last night after all. Judith cleaned as she waited for Rhyldrin to return, if he did return at all. She wouldn't be surprised if he had to go elsewhere. She was extremely worried about what she was going to be told. She hoped that she was simply being paranoid.

Rhyldrin had already left when he finished gathering the information he needed, it had settled his question at the least. He'd stop to tell Judith and then go about getting back to his home capital. This was far from good information. Hell things were starting to go well and he had just recovered... this wasn't what he wanted to hear.

Either way he needed to assist, even not being part of the main forces he had his uses. Plus he was one of the more experienced blades that the Queen had at her disposal. With combined forced of humans and orcs he wasn't going to take chances, he had reason to want to protect these lands now and it wasn't just because they were his home anymore.

Vrine acted like a normal child, aside from a few things that keyed in how smart he really was under it all aside from just being young. Though he seemed happy enough with what Judith gave him. Though he seemed to freeze suddenly as his ears went back for a moment before they seemed to relax again and his tail swayed a little. "your going to want to get the door." he spoke out before nibbling at the fruit again.

Vrine had noticed who was walking up to the house. Though the dragon could already tell that he was in a hurry as well. If it weren't for how Judith worried Rhyldrin might not bother with telling her that he was going, rather he had to go. This war wasn't going to be as easy to end as the elf or dragonkin.. this would have to be a show of force before the humans and ocrs buckled in.

((mine was worse! ive been dreadful at writing -.-;))

( I'm sorry it's so short. @__@ )

Judith jumped a little when Vrine suddenly spoke, she was not expecting him to say anything. For a moment she became nearly overwhelmed by her nerves, was her father home? She hoped that it was Rhyldrin though she was not too sure if it could be him. She had not been keeping track of time and was not too sure how long it had been since he had left to speak to Bryon. "How did you know that?" she raised an eyebrow, her eyes lingered on Vrine for a moment before she went to the back door.

Judith opened the back door when she heard someone stop in front of it. She looked up at Rhyldrin, her brow wrinkled as she noticed that he appeared to be tense. "What is it?" she asked, she bit her tongue. Perhaps it was not a good idea to ask. Did she really want to know? "Are you leaving again?" she blurted out the second question, she appeared to be upset. Judith's ears fell, her shoulders sagged and she felt her heart pounding in her chest.

(your fine :) )

Vrine smiled as his tail swayed but he never answered Judith how he knew. Though it was easy enough, he was part animal after all and he had been around both of them long enough to know when they were around.

He blinked a little seeing as he didn't have a chance to answer her before she spoke out asking if he was leaving again, she seemed concerned about that. After giving her a bit of a odd look he moved a little and placed a hand under her chin before smirking a little "stop worrying, I never said a word and your already thinking the worse possible...Your going to end up giving yourself wrinkles." He laughed slightly before releasing her chin and thinking on how to explain this to her.

"But yes I am leaving.. I have to. If there was a choice in the matter I wouldn't but there's been a turn of events that cannot be ignored." He sighed a little. "Not to worry you but the humans and orcs are banded together, thats what the elven lands are being faced with. I don't worry that we'll fall but it won't be a easy fight in the least."

He was about to go on when he noticed the look she was giving him, she was saddened and worried more by this information. Moving again he pulled her close to him pushing a few strands of her hair behind her ear. "hey .. stop it. Your allowed to worry but stop looking at me like this is the last time we'll see one another. I'm too damn stubborn to die. you should know that by now." He smiled weakly at her as she looked up at him. "besides I have plenty of reasons to come back.. I'd be a fool to die and toss that all away now."

( Time skip! I really failed with the fight between Judith and the Ork. )

A sound that was animal like escaped from the creatures lips as she swung a blade recklessly at it. Judith had had very little training with any other weapons before she was sent to the battlefield, though she had lost her daggers moments ago and knew that she was now too close to use her bow. The blade was not her own or one of her comrades. She had scavenged it from one of the dead who littered the battlefield now. The creature who stood in front of hovered over her with great height, Judith knew that the it underestimated her which she would take advantage of shortly. It let out a laugh as she attempted to strike it once again, it almost sounded human.

Her eyes studied her enemies weapon, it was a large, poorly made axe that was taller than Judith. It made her nervous, the last thing that she wanted to happen was to be struck by it. She knew that Orks were rather strong, this one seemed to be much larger than the others she had taken down in the past few months. Judith's eyes grew wide as the creature lifted it's weapon and swung it at her, she moved quickly despite the weight that her armour added. Before she had come out her she wore it quite a bit to get use to it.

It's weapon nearly hit her as it attempted to strike her once more, Judith ducked avoiding it's touch. She quickly lifted her foot kicking the creature in the stomach hard. It stumbled back though not as much as she had wanted it to. Judith's hands shook violently as she brought herself close to it. All it took was one mistake and she was a complete goner. The blade that she had taken dove into the Ork's stomach. Something warm splattered across her face, she closed her eyes for a moment trying to hold back to sudden urge to vomit. Despite the cry that it let out she drove the blade deeper into the creature. Judith let go of the blade, the creature fell backwards against the ground.

Judith's eyes opened, she watched the creature that she had struggled with not long ago slowly die. The blade must have struck something vital for there to be so much blood, the sight of it made her squirm. A heavy breath finally escaped from her as she confirmed that the creature was dead. Though she was weary to approach it to check for a pulse or to even retrieve the blade. Judith looked up from the Ork that she had just killed, they wandered around the area that surrounded her. There were so many bodies, yet there was still a vast number of enemies. No one that she saw was not fighting except for herself, she seemed to be in a daze.

Though a sudden noise from behind brought Judith back to reality. Her ears fell, a concerned expression washed over her face. Judith was afraid to turn around to see what or who was approaching her, she pried her eyes from the others then turned. It was a man, another enemy who was quickly approaching her. Though she did not react quick enough, she felt his hands press against her chest. Judith stumbled backwards, she attempted to remain standing though could not.

Air escaped from Judith's lungs as she was tossed to the ground. A sudden, throbbing pain from her back overcame for a moment before she finally brought her attention back to the man who had thrown her to the ground. The sound of weapons clashing together erupted around her, the man who now stood over her laughed as if he was mad. It seemed that it was just one enemy after another. She was becoming exhausted. He moved suddenly, Judith rolled to the right, away from him quickly avoiding his blade that he had intended to strike her with. Before she could stand he brought his blade down, it met her bow. A horrible noise was made, Judith's bow fell to the ground in two pieces. Fear grew in her eyes though she knew that she could not allow her life to be taken so easily.
