Yeah, and it already had a decent following to start. It's actually a reincarnation of a different convention that no longer exists since the executive director of that convention didn't want to run it anymore. The rest of the directors decided to make their own convention in the town the live in, which happens to be right where I live as well.

Yeah, the market here used to be great. A while back, though, before y'all's time, a few things happened that completely screwed it all up.

What happened to screw it up so badly?

A certain user who ran the leading price guide was hoarding a bunch of super rare items, buying them up immediately after they were put on sale and never putting them back out on the market, and scamming people out of Runes and aurum. They never included reported sales that were less than their minimum; only sales above the maximum in the guide, thus causing extreme artificial inflation for items across the board. The person was found out and permanently banned from Trisphee, but the hoarded items still lie dormant on the account. The only hope we have of seeing them return is a raffle like the one held during last year's User Appreciation Event. People stopped having faith in the market after that because nobody wanted to trust price guides anymore.

That's part of why Runes have shot up from 150 each to 250 each and why people aren't selling older items anymore. There's also the fact that a lot of older users have gone on an indefinite hiatus or quit without selling off their inventories, thus leaving fewer older items on the market at overall.

I do hope they do another auction, that would be absolutely brilliant!!! And it would help revive the market.

It was quite the interesting experience. They had raffle tickets available in the Event Shop for 250 Aurum each and 10-packs for 2.5k and 20 Runes. Each ticket had its own number, and at the end of the event they called out the winners. You couldn't win more than 3 times, though.

I remember I won a Celestial Sprite and a Solar Kingdom from the raffle. There were other prized, too, like Beta items, old DIs, current DI sets, Runes by the hundreds, and previous Event Bundles. A majority of the prized were from permanently banned accounts.

That's cool...I really do wish they would do it again.

Yeah, I must have spent over 7k on tickets. I was kinda miffed since I already had those items and only ever used the Celestial Sprite. Actually, it's still that way.

I like trying to use my solar kingdom...It's a hard item to use, but I feel accomplished when I do...

It is really pretty. I wish I had more chances to use it. Oh, but Nikko and I have picked our next cosplays!
