After packing all the required items that her sister would need, Chloe drags the suitcase down the hall and leaves it by the front door before popping into the living room to see if any messages on the answering machine, which only turned out to be Chloe's grumpy boss from her work reminding her of her schedule {hey, even a tech skull needed a job to get by these days}.
Pulling out her cell phone, Chloe dials the number of a local taxi firm and books a cab to be at the flat by 11:30, there was no way in hell she was dragging that suitcase down to the school than to the train station, she wasn't no super hero. Finally realizing her stomach is demanding some form of food, she enters the kitchen and pulls open the fridge, scrunching her nose up seeing how empty it was, having two guys as room mates was the pits.. not only did they eat all their food, they ate your food too. Slamming the door of the fridge shut, Chloe says quite a few not so nice words. Oh well, her stomach could wait till the train station but seriously, why can't guys just man up and do the grocery shopping for once in their damn lives, would keep girls from going PMS on their asses. Glancing at the clock, Chloe goes back into the hallway and opens the door, shoving suitcasezilla out before closing and locking the door. She would wait for the taxi outside. |
Maki stood on the rough path half-dazed for a moment before turning to face whomever Hayate had angered. "Damn it, Hayate," she muttered while she discreetly tripped his pursuer as they ran past her. She dashed off in the other direction as soon as they were down, only giving her fellow Flame Skull enough time to get away. She headed in the direction of the market district in hopes of finding some footwear for herself.
Edge wandered around the shrine district. She had sent a message to her superiors about Vincent's proposal. They had been interested and were setting up meetings with other Vampire Skulls near Punisher territory. The two groups actually complemented one another quite nicely; the Vampire Skulls were more adept at long-range combat and were very strategy-oriented, and the Punisher Skulls were adept at close-quarters combat and were more power-oriented. The blonde knew that it was generally agreed that the shrine district was Vampire territory, but she wasn't trying to start anything. No, she was just checking out the area since she hadn't gotten a chance before she joined the Punishers. The area was rather pretty, and there were more trees here than there were in other parts of the city. She could feel herself being watched, though, by both regular people on the sidewalks and by others from the more shadowed parts of her surroundings. |
Makoto looked at the entrance to the Hunter Headquarters, and approached the door. It had a retina scanner and a fingerprint scanner attached to the door. She pressed her thumb on the fingerprint scanner, and looked into the retina scanner. The devices emitted a high-pitched noise, and several locks and latches clanked as the door unlocked. The door opened, only to reveal an unwelcoming sight. Concrete walls, electronic doors, and guards everywhere. Makoto stepped inside, and the doors behind her slowly closed behind her, with the sounds of latches and locks clicking afterwards.
Geez, this place looks so depressing. A two helmeted guards manned a single desk sitting in the middle of the lobby, with guards lined up along the walls. Makoto walked up to the desk. "Excuse me, where's the weapons room?" The guard scoffed, and simply observed Makoto. A device from the desk scanned Makoto, checking whether she was a Hunter or not. The device flashed green, and the guard pointed towards the stairs. "Basement. Third room from the left." Makoto didn't respond. She walked towards the stairway, and descended into the basement. ...Asshole. |
After entering the police headquarters, Jayden could hear excited whispers and comments from his co-workers, apparently someone had been suspended from active duty but no one was letting any names slip. I just hope I don't any of the blame for what happened at that base the other day. Jayden thought grimly.
Finally, the taxi arrived and the cab driver was nice enough to shove suitcasezilla into the trunk after, "What the hell you got in here, Missy. An elephant?" Chloe ignores his grumbling and tells him the two locations, changing from the train station straight to the airport, she's going before slipping into the back of the cab. "Kind of late for you to be going to School," the driver grumbles as he pulls away. Chloe sits back in the seat, "That's none of your business." than turns her attention out to watch the people they pass by in the street before the cab pulls in front of the school. Getting out of the cab, Chloe walks briskly to the front office and lets the Secretary know she's there to pick up Avalon who when finally appears, with a confused expression on her face. Back in the cab, making sure the cabby can't hear what's being said, Chloe tells her sister what's going on and passes her sister the plane ticket and her passport. "Why?" Avalon demands, her green eyes locked on her sister before noticing the tiny cuts on her one hand, "What happened? Did you get into fight?" "Hush," Chloe rests her head against the seat, "It's none of your concern." After about thirty minutes or more, Chloe didn't have a watch and she wasn't really caring about the time, the taxi pulls up to the airport and again the cabby helps pull out suitcasezilla and watches idly as Chloe and Avalon enter the airport. After checking the luggage through and getting the airlines promise that a stewardess would keep an eye on Avalon and make sure she found the Uncle when they landed in America, Chloe pulls Avalon into a hug, trying not to cry before Avalon heads off to the terminal, giving Chloe a quick wave. Returning back to the waiting taxi, Chloe slides back into the back and the cabby, without a glance at her, pulls off. Slumped in the back seat, Chloe lets the tears that been building up go.. |
Zaki blinked as he looked from one side to another, after all the trouble and chaos that was happening it seems everything was on lock and key and people where watching out for them. How could one put it, for smart kid he was scared and he wasn't going to lie. "I don't wanna get caught, nor experimented on. . . .I don't wanna die. . . ." he said to him self as he listened on to his head phones for incoming calls and news from any radio single that had the police or hunters line hooked to it. All he wanted to do was go and get something to eat like he always did every morning.
-- Vincent sat in his room looking out the window, that late evening dinner was all and well but now it seems to have gone no where and him waiting on people was not an answer at all. Crimson eyes looked over down into the streets, that wasn't safe to walk about in but he was not so sure of the roof tops. But he will have to find other means of getting around if he could no longer roof travel across the town. -- Ashton rolls about in her bed, she did end up staying out to late figured it was okay to sleep in some since she didn't have any where to be right now but she would wait it out to see what would happen and if she needed to get any sooner but feeling far to tired she hit the snooze button and turned over to go back to sleep. |
Upon arriving at his desk, Jayden sits his meal down on the only available spot that wasn't cluttered with, what seemed like more paper than normally cluttered with and leans down to switch on his labtop.
Pushing his sunglasses up on his head, he slides into his chair and notices a memo placed on one of the stacks, looked like it came from the boss of the office. Just what Jayden needed. Pulling out the food and taking a bite, Jayden picks up the memo to read, discovering that till further notice, his area was now extended to include the shrine district. Placing the memo back on his desk, Jayden leans back in his chair, watching the labtop finish up it's logging on phrase. He wasn't sure who's area the shrine district was or had been through he suspected it had to be that bandana wearing officer, Roland's. And maybe it made sense since the area he covered was near the shrine district, it was always him being the first sent there as back up when needed.. Yet, even through the sound of overtime sounded lovely, the only thing Jayden worried about, who in the hell would cover his ass if he needed back up? |
The electric door to the armory slid open after another fingerprint and retina scan. Makoto walked in, and was greeted with a wave by the Hunter stationed inside. She nodded in response, and began to shop around. An assortment of firearms were displayed in the metal gun racks along the walls, and tables topped with ammunition and other equipment were laid out in the center of the room. Sets of armor hung in the back of the room, some bulkier than others, and built to take on at least a tank.
Makoto went to the back of the room, and grabbed one of the lighter sets of body armor. It was almost exactly like her usual tactical vest, except it had small lengths of metal sewn into the back. "Oh, that one's new. Apparently, you could mount one of our weapons onto the back of your body armor, like a magnet. Saves the trouble of using straps and belts. But don't try to jump onto the wall with it, it won't hold you up against it." Makoto put on the armor, and it was surprisingly lightweight, even with the magnets on the back. "Thanks. I'll keep looking around." The guard went back to reading his book. Makoto went to the weapon racks. She walked past the assault rifles and submachine guns. She already had the MP7, and she didn't like how assault rifles handled. She walked over to the sniper rifle rack, and grabbed a McMillan Tac-50, along with a high-powered scope, a bipod, several clips and boxes of bullets and laid them out on an empty table. While she loaded the clips with bullets, a peculiar piece of equipment on the center table caught her eye. Makoto walked to it, and picked it up by the handle. It was a small weapon folded up into a rectangular box. A switch showing "Withdraw" and "Draw" was against her thumb. She flipped it to "Draw", and the piece of equipment expanded into a hunting bow. "...I'm taking you with me." |
Roland had made his way to his favorite cafe. He sat outside with a lit cigarette between his lips. There was a plate of half eaten eggs and bacon in front of him and cup of coffee. Leaning back in his chair and blowing out a puff of smoke he looked at the people walking down the street.
"Not going to work today?" Roland sat up straight and placed his cigarette down on an ashtray. "Not today, Granny." Roland grabbed the cup of coffee and took a drink. "Oh dear. Did something happen?" "No, I'm just taking some time off is all. Don't worry." Roland placed the cup of coffee back down on the table and grabbed a piece of bacon. "Well you do work hard so I guess its for the best. Let me know if you need anything dear." Roland nodded as he took a bite from the strip of bacon. |
Makoto withdrew her new bow and mounted onto the magnet on the back of her hip. The bow was compact in its withdrawn form, and the armor's equipment mount held onto it nicely. She grabbed the quiver that laid next to the bow's display platform, and looked at the selection of arrows. Makoto carefully placed several steel-tipped arrows into the quiver. She also grabbed some non-lethal, "Taser-arrows" and placed them in the quiver. "Those are nice if you want to capture someone. The arrowhead opens up into a claw, and the tiny battery installed in those things electrocute your target. Just make sure you make every shot count, the batteries die after one use."
Makoto mounted the quiver onto the magnetic armor, and went back to the McMillan. She grabbed an attache case for the rifle, and disassembled the rifle before putting it in the case. She put the ammo, scope, and bi-pod inside with it, and latched the case close. Before she left, the Hunter in charge handed Makoto a small device. "This one's new too, but the Hunters here seem to like the heavy equipment. It's a grappling hook of sorts, though it doesn't really need a gun. The hook itself will drill into the wall, and save your ass if you're falling. Just make sure you aim properly." Makoto put the hook into her pocket. "Thanks for the help." |
After writing up the report and checking to make sure no important e-mails had arrived, Jayden switches the labtop into hibernation mode before standing up and taking the freshly printed pages off the nearby printer.
Dropping off the report on his superior's desk, Jayden returns back to his desk to pick up a few needed items he would need while doing his rounds and slides his sunglasses back to the bridge of his nose as he walks back through the busy police station and outside. Dropping the money through the cabby's window and telling him, after the driver's pause, that she would fine getting back on her own, Chloe enters the small supermarket to pick up just what she would need like eggs and milk. Upon entering the store, Chloe phones her boss whom upon answering, sounds like someone had already pissed him off earlier.. just great. "Before you even start preaching, I'm taking the leave you owe me." before the boss could rant, she hangs up. He's a big boy, he can live with it. Check out was quick and simple, the cashier giving her a small, friendly smile and making small talk about how things were going in the area. Hoisting the few carrier bags she had, Chloe heads back toward home. Till she knew that the things with the hunters had ended, there was a big screen tv and soap operas with her name on it. |
Zaki moved about the area getting past one of the old bulding to get to the small diner that was not to far away where he always got food from. His head phones sat around his neck as he sighed a bit getting to the location he has been trying to get to for part of the morning. The kid was in fear he would be found by police or even worse the hunters. That what made him even more scared was the damn hunters. All he ever really had on his person was his fold away Bo staff that was at his hip at all times, but then again maybe he should carry more then just that? Poor kid, never knew what he was going to do with him self and now here is he running around like rat, he could remember the old days where none of his would happen and people seem to get along just fine but now it was nothing more then hide and seek from other groups and people who wanted them put away. Letting out a soft sigh looking around he was able to get to the Diner and head in sitting at normal table to make his order. Once the waitress came by and took his order he sat waited some pulling his head phones up getting out note book listing into the radio singles that would be going about to take some notes on any kind of news.
|
It only took a few moments to put all the goceries she had purchased by, maybe hiding out wasn't that great of an idea. Glancing up at the clock over the stove, Chloe figured by now, Zaki probably would be at that diner he liked, they really needed to discuss what had been happening cause no doubt, the other skull groups probably already had plans of action in place and if anyone knew more about what was happening in the area before anyone else, it would be Zaki and those headphones of his.
Stopping in her room, Chloe changes out of the dark clothes she had worn to visit Roland, by now the prat was probably out enjoying his vacation, and pulls on more civilian like clothes, an old halter top and a pair of jeans before securing her mass of hair into a messy bun at the back of her head. Picking up her labtop from the usual spot and her wallet, Chloe shuts the door to the apartment and makes sure it's locked. Getting to the diner was pretty easy, most of the other factions weren't around to start anything personal and one learned the areas that the other factions liked to hang out, so planning routes to avoid them didn't take a mastermind to plan. Only thing she had to worry about was the hunters cause she knew most of the cops in this area would be populating the local donut/coffee shop. Pushing the door open of the diner, Chloe takes a moment to glance around the room before spotting Zaki. With an eye roll, seriously, he should pop a ring on to those headphones and book the wedding asap, she made her way to his table. Sliding into the empty seat across from him, she places the labtop on the table, crosses her arms over her chest and waits for him to finish up with the headphones. |
After a few hours of weapon shopping, Makoto hauled the equipment into the garage. A lineup of black SUVs were lit up as the sensor next to the door detected Makoto's presence. A Hunter sat in the corner of the room with a rack of hanging keys behind him. The Hunter tossed Makoto a set of keys, and flashed her a thumbs up as she caught the keys. She nodded in response, and pressed the unlock button on the keyring. One of the SUV's alarms beeped, and locks unlocked.
Makoto popped open the trunk, and gently slid the rifle case into it, along with the hunting bow she acquired in the armory. Her loadout felt weird without her MP7, and she decided to drive back to her apartment before going on a personal reconnaissance mission. Makoto plugged the key into the ignition, turned it, and started the engine. She drove out of the parking lot and into a long tunnel. The garage door began to open, and a bright light shone at the end of the tunnel. Within seconds, Makoto was back on the streets. |
HAYATE
Hayate's stomach growled as he walked casually past the last few trees, but there were other things he had to attend to before he grabbed any food. He checked his pockets. Barely enough for a meal and a canister of spraypaint... Art takes precedence over food, he figured. The typical starving artist mindset. Maybe he'd drop by a cafe later, but fast food would also be alright if he ran out of cash. Now where's the nearest crafts store...? |
Makoto drove around Tokyo. It was different from constantly walking around trying to find any Skull activity in the area. Some roads were blocked off, because of the explosions. Makoto took some detours to get back to her apartment complex.
She briskly walked into the complex, took out her keys, and unlocked the door. She dropped her bag and the information Chloe gave her onto the table, and grabbed her MP7, along with the last set of clips on the table. She walked back to the SUV, and drove out. Makoto stopped at a light, and scanned the area. The radio chattered with Hunter and Skull Gang activity, none of which were near her. Across the street, a red-haired man searched his pockets. Wait, he looks like that kid who gave me the wrong directions to his base... The light turned green. Makoto parked on the street, and watched the man from the other side of the street. |
The dark haired youth looked up from the notebook pulled the head phones back smiled at the other. "Hey what's up?" he asked closing the book moving it off to the side. "How's the kid, and what brings you here this early in the morning?" he asked his green eyes looking about some. As the waitress came back with his drink and normal meal he would get.
|
Chloe placed an order with the waitress, she was starving before turning her attention back to Zaki, "Not much really up and the kid's doing fine, she's overseas with our Uncle for a bit." she pauses for a moment before turning serious, "I'm up this early cause we need to make plans just in case things turn bad. I am sure you have seen the news the hunters have been airing lately, I don't know about you but I'm not ready to donate my body or organs in the name of Science just yet."
|
HAYATE
Really, this place needes more hobbyists....Everybody's too concerned about business and crap. Hayate glanced up; apparently he'd missed the "walk" signal. He sprinted hastily towards the opposite sidewalk before the light turned red, and waited to cross to the other corner. |
Makoto watched the red-haired man cross the street. He was on the corner of the street, right behind her. She turned around, and looked at him from the back. Yeah, it's him. What's up with him? Does he have his head in the clouds or something?
Makoto's finger tapped on the steering wheel, waiting for his next move. She slipped her hand into her pocket and took out her cellphone. She pointed the phone at the man, and snapped a quick picture of him. I'll forward that to my contact later. |
Zaki looked at the other nodding some as he took a bite of his food. "Well the leader of vampire Skulls came and well scared me some into giving him some info of what I had heard. He wanted to make a truce kind of pack, you talked with him didn't you or did you talk with someone else?" he asked unsure if he was asking the right thing. Moving some things around on the table he moved the notebook over to her. "Here all the info I was able to get so far, it seem they would be doing some kinda check/sweep so I think its safer to stay in doors for a while from the way it sounds."
|
Chloe takes the notebook to read what Zaki has written before moving it back across the table to him, "Can't say I have seen any signs of those blood suckers hanging around but than they know how I feel about late night visitors, especially ones who wants more than just coffee with their late night snacks. Through, I had an almost similar conversion with one of the leaders of the Toxic skulls while I was talking to a friend of yours, one of the candy skulls," Chloe leans back, as the waitress set her order down on the table before her, "Sounded similar to this pact that the Vampire skull wanted," she pauses, sprinkling salt over her food before narrowing her eyes, "And you shouldn't let that Vampire skull bully you around so much, any information given out now could be used as a double edge sword if it falls into the wrong hands."
|
"Ummmm Chloe look at me I am kinda not the best at trying to fight something that would be way faster then me and maybe stronger and ummmm could eat me alive." he shuddered some then made a face of ugh. "Yeah I know, I only gave him a little bits that wouldn't get much movement on as you know. Oh you ran into Ashton, so weird I haven't heard from her after we went on our own ways. . .glad to know she is still alive in away." letting out a soft sigh then took a few more bites of his food.
|
"Guess you got a good point there, I doubt anyone would want to end up coming vamp poo," Chloe takes a bite of her food and sighs, "I'm getting bad vibes just thinking about what the future is going to hold. If the Vamps and Toxics are both thinking about forming pacts, than for sure the Flame skulls will go for it. Especially after losing one of their bases, you know how hotheaded they can come," she pauses for a second, "Only question I have in mind, if this pact does actually come a reality, would we be for it or against it?" Chloe takes a sip of her drink, "And yes, it was Ashton. She looks like she's doing quite well for herself. She wanted to know about you. I gave her the number to call the flat to contact me if she needed anything. I can always pass your number to her if you want her to contact you, you know I won't give out that information to anyone not in the techs without your permission to do so first."
|
HAYATE
One step out into the street, Hayate very nearly tripped over his own two feet. They weren't used to his new pair of shoes yet, and he hadn't given much thought to comfort as he grabbed the nearest pair. Oh well. They'd have to adapt, sooner or later. Half trying to keep his shoes on, he ran across the street. If he'd remembered correctly, there was a cheap crafts store a few streets down, and hopefully he had enough cash to cover everything he needed to do without getting into even more trouble in one day. |
...How are you this uncoordinated if you managed to get me in a hold before? Makoto's gaze followed the red-haired man as he ran past her car. Makoto slowly drove away from the curb, and followed the man. She hoped to isolate him from the public, not really wanting to waste ammo on civilians who got in her way.
|
HAYATE
He walked down a few narrow streets, being careful to not step into the gutters or puddles that dotted the pavement. He was familiar with the place; he was friends with the barber on the corner, had hour-long almost-philosophical conversations with the local general shop owner who treated him like a son, and was so frequent a customer at a nearby restaurant that he had barely just sat down when the chef would be at his table with his favorite soba. It was his safe haven. The two bells strung on the barred glass door tinkled as he entered the small shop. He took his usual course towards the spraypaint shelf as the owner glanced at him over the top of his newspaper. "What brings yeh back so quick?" It had only been a few days since Hayate's last visit. "Oh. Ahaha. I...er...lost the cans in an accident," Hayate replied, a bit delicately. The owner chuckled. "I won't be givin' you any discounters, kid. Eve' though yer about all tha' keeps this shop alive." Hayate smiled. "I have the money, gramps. Don't worry about me. I'm still a bit better off than you are. If it really comes down to it, I'll even buy the things I don't normally need. The shop won't close while I'm around." He finished gathering his supplies from the shelf and turned towards the old man. A shadow in the doorway caught his attention. Dropping everything he carried, he almost flew over over the counter to wrestle the shopkeeper to the ground. |
Makoto parked the SUV right in front of the narrow street the red-haired man walked into. She grabbed her MP7 and hopped out of the vehicle. A mob of teenagesrs, and eventually the rest of the crowd, slowly backed away from the armed Hunter. Makoto didn't care.
She walked to the back of the SUV and popped open the trunk. She reached for the hi-tech bow and quiver. The crowd watched her mount the bow onto the magnetic strip on her hip, and the quiver onto her back. While she closed the trunk, she gazed at the nervous crowd, and walked into the narrow street. Makoto passed by several shops. The street was completely empty. Bells rang a few stores down, giving away her target's location. She stopped in front of what seemed to be an arts and crafts store. She gently opened the door, and the bells jingled lightly. The door closed behind her, and was greeted by the smell of paint. Makoto flipped the safety off of the MP7, and cocked the gun. "I know you're in here, boy. Make this easier on me and show yourself. I don't feel like wrecking a store like this just to find one person." She kicked a can of spraypaint, and let it roll to the other side of the room. |
"Thanks for not sharing it, I knew her long ago I never thought she would ever join a gang but hey new things happen on a daily base that not even we can really know what the future holds for us." he laughed some. "So tell me what do you think we should do now?" he asked his group mate. It wasn't going to be easy and that was the truth but to have everyone work together may be the better of the deal he had seen in long time.

So far, things had been quiet. Jayden had managed to get around the whole shrine district without much of an incident occurring, listening in to the dispatcher on the radio attached to his belt, he could conclude that there was trouble in other parts of the city.
Before starting his patrol of his usual beat, he leans against the side of one of the buildings and lights a cigarette. He had only taken one puff when the dispatcher that was on duty radioing him. "Just great," Jayden grumbles plucking the radio from his belt and holding the button down to respond, "Jayden here, over." Took a moment for the dispatcher to respond, "We just received an alarm coming from the arts and crafts store on." the dispatcher gave him the address of the shop which wasn't too far away from his location. "Alright, I'll go and check it out, over." Jayden clips the radio back on his belt and with a sigh, stomps the barely smoked cigarette under his boots. It took about ten minutes, maybe fifteen tops for Jayden to reach the street where the arts and crafts store was located and wanting to check out the situation inside before going in with guns blazing, he glances through the front window, noticing the mess and someone with a gun, searching around the store. Pulling out his revolver, he kicks the door open and cocking the revolver, points it straight at Makoto, "Police. Drop your weapon." "There's quite a few people we never imagined as kids who would be what they are today. I wouldn't be shocked if Avalon joins one of the gangs when she comes of age." Chloe pauses, her eyes growing a little darker, "In my opinion, you can't start a war without gaining information on your enemy first." she takes a sip of her coffee, "We only have a few bits of information of what the skull hunters are doing, I think any form of action right now would be wrong thing to do. I rather wait till we see what kind of hand the hunters are hoping to play before I lay all my chips down cause one bad move could be the end of the game.." |
The door behind her flew open and the bells rang loudly. A familiar voice yelled the normal phrase a police officer would yell. Makoto turned her head, and saw Jayden, pointing a revolver at her back. She faced away from Jayden, and eyed the shelves and the hallway to back room of the store."Well. I guess you managed to call the police on me. I never would have thought a member of the Skull Gangs would rely on the police for help. "
She sighed and slowly shook her head. "Jayden, are you going to get in my way, and stop me from doing my job, just like Officer Roland did?" Makoto took a few steps forward and passedby the cashier's counter, stepping over a few cans of spraypaint. She turned around and faced Jayden, and glared at him. With the MP7 still in hand, its sights were now focused on Jayden. "Get out of here. You can clean up whatever's left of the Skull. That is, if he decides to resist arrest." |
Jayden doesn't lower the revolver, after seeing that is was Makoto or the MP7 pointed at him, his expression grim, "I wish I could do that, Makoto but unfortunately I can't. I have to do my job as well, you know. Even if that means I have to get in your way and stop you from doing a job, if your going to go after skulls, do it in the streets where I can turn a blind eye, not in the shops where civilians frequent." he sighs, and lowers the revolver but doesn't turn to exit the shop, "Go and do what you have to do with the skull. And don't compare me with Roland, he would of shot you without asking questions first and you know that."
|
HAYATE
He gestured silently to the shopkeeper to stay under the counter, then quickly thought through the situation. This...was that Skull Hunter he'd met some time ago. If it weren't for the policeman being in the same room... But if he did try to fight his way out, he would be risking the old man's life, as well as being charged for attacking a Hunter. She wouldn't do anything too rash while the police was keeping an eye on her, right? "You think I would be the one to call the police?" He stood slowly, with his hands buried in his pockets. Good. The canisters are still on the counter. Just in case. |
Makoto nodded and showed a small smile at Jayden. "You can leave. I just want to talk to the Skull."
The smile quickly disappeared as the Skull stood up from behind the counter. She focused her sights on the Skull, and aimed at his chest. " You finally decided to come out of hiding? Well then, is there someone else behind that counter? I'd hate to accidentally repaint the walls with their blood if he suddenly popped out of there. I suggest you get that person to move away from you, and towards that wall over there. Unarmed." Makoto pointed at the wall closer to the door leading to the back room. "Get your hands out of your pocket, kid." |
Jayden's expression doesn't change, "I'm not leaving," he says quietly, leaning against the door frame, "Have your little pow wow, but I'm going to do my job rather you agree to it or not."
His eyes travel to Hayate when he stands up from behind the counter, but doesn't make any movements. Damn idiot, he thinks to himself, You could of used that time to get the hell out of here. Jayden pulls a cig out of his pocket and lights it, not caring if the shop is a no smoke zone or not. Hayate wasn't his concern, he should tell the kid could defend for himself and only interest that Jayden had with Hayate if the kid survived, was what were his intentions for the spray paint that now littered the shop's floor.. |
HAYATE
He stooped a little and muttered to the old man, "...Sorry, gramps. I never mentioned it, did I? You might want to leave the store for now; I'll try to not let it get too...trashed." He pulled him to his feet and gave him a slight push towards the policeman's direction. Well, at least he's out of the way. Hayate took a step towards where the Hunter had pointed, thought about it, and pointedly reached back and swatted the canister at her head. Not caring whether it hit, he sauntered over to the wall, although his face betrayed his anger. |
Makoto caught the canister the Skull threw at her, and placed it on the shelf next to her. How cute. He's trying to fight back.
She looked at the Skull for a moment, and turned her attention to the shopkeeper as he walked towards Jayden. She aimed her MP7 at the shopkeeper's back, and fired several bullets into his back. "That's for getting in my way, and lying to me at that apartment." She turned her head, smiled, and laughed at the Skull. |
HAYATE
Hayate froze, the color already drained from him face. A couple of seconds later, he was flying past the Hunter, not caring whether he stumbled on the canisters scattered across the ground. He wasn't a doctor; he knew that, even as he roughly shook the old man's shoulders in an attempt to revive him. Hayate stood up slowly, numb, looping his mask strap around his head at the same time. "...What did he ever do to you?" he asked, his whisper distorted and made even less audible by the filter. "What makes you think...that you had any right, any right whatsoever, to kill my friends?" His voice rose, still shaky. "I have no idea who you are, but your business is with me. Not with anyone else!" he screamed, almost hysterically, while diving for the nearest canister. ...Damn it. I'll kill her. I don't care anymore; she needs to die. This shop and my life are but a small sacrifice for bringing down this plague. |
"Jesus," Jayden muttered, not believing he had just witnessed murder right in front of his eyes. There was no point checking for a pulse, by the amount of blood pooling on the floor, the shop keeper was dead. And the skull's reaction, you could tell that he had cared deeply for the shop keeper.
Assuming he knew what Hayate's plan was, seeing him dive for the canister, Jayden reacts a tad bit quicker and grabs a hold of Hayate's shoulders, "Don't." he says just for Hayate to hear, "I am sorry for the loss of your friend but now isn't the time or place for you to lose your head. Let me handle it, that's why I'm here." |
HAYATE
Hayate flung his arm hard back without even looking and twisted hard from the policeman's hold. A lighter in each hand, he grabbed the first two canisters he saw and barrel-rolled away from both the police and the Hunter. Lighting the flames and pulling the spraypaint triggers came easily to him, and he was already heating more nearby canisters on the ground to explosive temperatures before he recognized the risk that Makoto posed. Not that he cared a single bit. |
Makoto shielded her face from the makeshift flames with her right arm. You're finally fighting back? I'll get to you in a bit. I need to take care of Jayden first. She fired a few bullets at the Skull's direction, and mantled over the cashier's counter. She reached out and grabbed Jayden, almost tackling him through the front door and out into the small street, landing on top of him.
"I told you to get out of here." Makoto dismounted Jayden, and picked up her MP7. The fabric on her right arm smoked as she replaced the empty clip with a new one, and started to shoot at the enraged Skull, and at the paint cans near him. |
