I need to get me some of those Cans of Air =w=

Chi 04-05-2011 03:56 PM

Cans of condensed air don't require opening up your computer...
I wasn't saying they weren't the problem, sorry you thought that.
All I was saying is it may be blocked up now with dust or something.

Duchess 04-05-2011 04:05 PM

Possibly... I will consider it for the future. I wasn't harping at you personally... I'm just on edge about this stupid Tech Support. Sorry bout that.

But they still need to come and fix stuff. This is -not- the first time the fan died on me.. ~sigh~

Can't they just replace this whole PoS and be done with it?

Chi 04-05-2011 04:19 PM

I'm not sure what kind of warranty you have.

I think Annie's was that if they take it in five times and can't fix it she got a whole new laptop.
Her hard drive crapped out three times I think then two other things before they finally replaced it.

Duchess 04-05-2011 04:22 PM

Well.. I'm on time 3... >_>

Fan. Motherboard. Fan.... If you count the optical drive, you get 4

-sigh-

Chi 04-05-2011 04:35 PM

It depends on what you have for you to get that benefit or not.
You should ask them. D:

Duchess 04-05-2011 04:37 PM

If it gets to that point, I definitely would.

Ashy 04-05-2011 05:55 PM

none of my computers come with warranties like that o_O

Batty 04-05-2011 06:08 PM

HALLO, HALLO.

I see a few more people are on. <3

Ashy 04-05-2011 06:17 PM

im not on

Chi 04-05-2011 06:21 PM

It was some policy or warranty she had on her laptop.
All I know is she got a new one. o_O;

Ashy 04-05-2011 06:22 PM

if i had a warranty like that about 3 of my computers would have been exchanged

Chi 04-05-2011 06:24 PM

Possibly, they do expire eventually.

Ashy 04-05-2011 06:26 PM

yeah but this one im on the power source went in like 2 weeks

Chi 04-05-2011 08:01 PM

What the hell?
That sucks.
My laptop started to die when the warranty ran out. >>

Lauv Keiko 04-05-2011 08:05 PM

*rolls in the thread*
I would always choose 1-year warranty gadgets XD

Echo-chan713 04-05-2011 08:19 PM

I own a desktop so it's not that convient

Lioshika 04-05-2011 11:25 PM

o_o Most of the time the warranties aren't worth the money you pay and cover very little.
Or at least Staples warranties are bull shit. The Easytechs lie about what all it covers. Several customers have yelled at me for it, even when I wasn't the one who sold it to them. That's why I refuse to ask them if they want a warranty. Then Tim was all grr and I had to. -___- I just ask if they want a warranty or not and they usually say no.

Echo-chan713 04-06-2011 12:08 PM

Our cutco warranty is FOREVER

Duchess 04-06-2011 12:24 PM

I bought a 2 year warranty on this laptop....

I'm glad I did >_____>

The amount of times I had to contact them for repairs, it would have cost a shitton of money otherwise.

Ashy 04-06-2011 07:36 PM

over here you cant get the warranties from the big corporations so its better to go through one of the little computer places, at least they honour their warranties.

Echo-chan713 04-06-2011 09:01 PM

Go Family owned small companies

Ashy 04-06-2011 09:43 PM

theres a really good computer place i go to, the problem is there really arent any big computer companies here just electronics stores that also sell computers

Lioshika 04-06-2011 10:37 PM

I'm just saying how Staples is. The Easytechs tell customers how "Oh if it breaks we'll just replace it." Well, that's not always the case. Like, the warrantie won't cover if an ink cartridge explodes in the machine, the warranty is null and void. I've had a lot of people coming in and they start in with me because I'm the first one seen. Even if I have a line of customers they're interupting me and starting in with me. I just tell them to go over to the Tech Desk.

They really aren't trained in any way.

Damies 04-06-2011 11:52 PM

I wanted to go to walmart and buy food for dinner but mom was all "no." and I was all "fine then!" and made burritos and now my tummy hurts. :C

Gozed 04-07-2011 12:12 AM

I've ended up going to walmart on each of my off days. T_T I can't escape the place.

Lioshika 04-07-2011 01:26 PM

I'm sorry. If I have to go to Staples, I go to the other one, I refuse to go to the one I work at. I was like "Fuck no" because I have to wait for a manager to see the transaction. Even if I'm in on a day off.

Damies 04-07-2011 10:08 PM

I hate being so poor... I wish I had my own car so I could get a job without relying on our shitty bus system...

Lioshika 04-07-2011 10:27 PM

I have a car. I wish I didn't have my job because my managers are ass holes.

Damies 04-07-2011 11:40 PM

Heh, I expect any job I'd be able to get would have me stuck with asshole managers. I have no job qualification s and only got a GED... technically I should really go to college before getting a job...

Echo-chan713 04-07-2011 11:59 PM

I got a High School Diplomia and I have barely any qualifications for a job

Damies 04-08-2011 12:14 AM

I love listening to my comedy radio stations so fun when I am depressed xD

Echo-chan713 04-08-2011 12:19 AM

We have a comedy radio station. I haven't heard of any

Damies 04-08-2011 12:31 AM

It's a station on winamp that anyone can listen to. Normally I listen to Comedy Pipe but tonight it's Comedy 104 since Comedy Pipe was doing a talk show that was boring. xD

dont worry echo, i have a bachelor of biochemistry and i have barely any qualifications for a job

Funkduder 04-08-2011 01:48 AM

And on the flip side, I've met and heard of people who would seem to have nothing but in reality have everything they need.

Ashy 04-08-2011 02:13 AM

my grandma has no qualifications except experience, she gets paid hundreds of thousands to move from company to company and fix all their problems ><

man i wish i could do that :P

Funkduder 04-08-2011 02:14 AM

You could probably do that with a handful of confidence and a shit-load of logic. My dad does that type of consulting but is payed less. I geuss it depends on who you go to. :P

Ashy 04-08-2011 04:25 AM

she does debt collection/payrolls so shes pretty highly appreciated
