Just so you know I had that kind of stuff pounded into my head by my dad. (Un)Fortunately quite a bit has settled into the bottom part of my brain, but things like this bring back half the information XD The internet fills in the rest XD |

BTW, you had By The Way...XD and yeah, my dad had me try to learn a lot of stuff that i had no idea why i needed to know. like the difference between troy and avoirdupois pounds (i had to look up 'avoirdupois' though...) 12 troy ounces make up 1 troy pound, but 16 avoirdupois ounces make up a common/avoirdupois pound. it's useful if you ask someone 'which weighs more, a pound of gold or a pound of lead (or feathers)?' (1 troy ounce has 480 grains and 1 avoirdupois ounce has 437.5 grains. i had to look up the numbers) |
