I ignore about 90% of his texts. Except the Thanksgiving one, it's usually trying to have lunch when he's in town grocery shopping. The most annoying is when I get off work and he's spammed me with "any free time tomorrow?" 5 or 6 times within about 30 minutes.
Like...chill out, I work technically 3 jobs and am unable to check my phone for hours at a time. Spamming me won't get a reply any sooner.

All the actual guilting, insulting, and life criticizing happens in person.
One of my favorites of those was Christmas 2017. I said I wanted my box of Christmas ornaments. Dad insisted he already gave them to me. I said no, I have the Disney ones, but not mine. He basically called me stupid because he gave them to me and I must have forgotten and/or misplaced them. I got upset at being insulted. He made fun of me for getting upset.
6 months later he texts saying he found my ornaments in one of the upstairs closets.
I still don't have them.

Too many things to make and I am procrastinating so much!

only 4 people are getting something crocheted from me - my 2 daughters and my 2 nephews. hubby is getting a phone holder for his car, i hope it works and doesn't get weird/broken like the first two.

so back in november, we got together for my hubby's and brother-inlaw's birthdays - hubby's bday is in october, brother-inlaw's is in november. while we were there, i asked if we were going to - at some point - pick names for xmas. brother-inlaw said what if we don't exchange gifts this year, but just have xmas dinner? we all kinda said that sounded good.

and this is good - because i've been wanting to excuse myself from the xmas name picking for the past two years, and things just happened that i didn't.

but.

while it sounds good, my mother inlaw will give her sons xmas gifts, and maybe my daughters. guess who probably won't get anything anyway? that's just how my inlaws roll, so. *sigh*

Only 3 people are getting loom knit stuff from me. Am making a cabled mug hug for a friend's mom and a suffed cat for the friend and then another cabled mug hug for a different friend who is also getting a travel mug and the fourth doctor's sonic screwdriver.

But I also have a ridiculously complicated custom order cat to finish. I had hoped to have it done over the weekend so I could hopefully mail it tomorrow, but I still have to make the head and 2 legs and possibly re-do one of the other legs xP
And all that while working a minimum of 42 hours per week. Or this week which will be closer to 50+.

Thankfully the custom order people are super nice and are just like "oh no rush, take your time!" about it, which I appreciate. But I still want it done soon.

Ah shit. And I also have to buy something for the gift exchange at the museum staff Christmas party on Sunday...I keep forgetting.

well that's good that they say to take your time. but i agree with you - you want it done and on it's way. that makes sense. :)

They were all "we'll be on vacation from January x to March x, so take your time." And I was thinking well shit, it shouldn't take me THAT long to make!

I don't bother with wishlists because no one's gonna buy me anything but me, so I just put everything into my cart and hit "save for later". I've got furniture, glass dip pens, calligraphy inks, throw pillows, nail polish, lost kitties toys, origami star paper strips, and more.
