I want to finish learning Chinese but I couldn't take the class this semester

I never wanted to learn chinese. Too choppy for my liking. (ironically I want to learn German and Russian where you sound angry no matter what you say. LoL)

Chinese isn't that different from Japanese. Well sound wise anyway.

I don't think so /at all/. I don't like listening to Chinese really in the least, tbh.

Eh I just think its a really useful language to learn

Anyway, Kanji sucks. XD but I'm taking a kanji course next semester. Hopefully I can learn to not hate it so damn much.

Well... it's when they start looking /very/ similar except a stroke or two, or they have ten different meanings depending on what comes before/after it.

XD kanji is chinese characters, I'd assume it's the same.

._. Japanese... use... chinese characters, though. I mean I know they mean different things depending on the language, but Kanji in Japanese are still chinese characters. Of course hiragana and katakana are Japanese but... yeah.

some are the same some aren't though. Anyway yeah I never thought I'd be able to read Chinese but when I was I was so happy I was like "OMG I CAN READ THIS" xD

Yeah its always exciting. And like I said I wish I could take it this semester again. It sucks the one semester I can't take chinese its apparently the one where all they do is chat and watch movies

I'm stuck in J1. Which sucks since I've taken three years already. Granted I am learning a few things, most things are annoyingly boring reviews. It's almost a waste of money.

I took 2 semesters of basic Chinese 1 but one was during high school so that doesn't really count. Though I am glad I took it again in college because I started learning how to read characters vs in high school I couldn't read Chinese at all

Ah my high school class was really good, I thought. Except she left a few things out when learning some things, so yeah...

yeah in high school I don't think I learned anything except how to use a chinese dictionary which I didn't learn until year 2 in college xD
