I did take a bad photo tutorial series of pics that I will attempt to upload and share while I am at work and can utilize one of my otherwise useless previous phones (the one I drowned, which still mostly works, but is unable to be reactivated). |
It might be that knitting or looming is actually harder for me than making chainmaille...
Shitty photo tutorial incoming!
Yeeeah, that would be way more complicated for me than just making chainmaille haha, that's sooo cool though!
yeah, for standard knitting or crochet, you would treat the scales like beads, and prestring them, then position them as you go...
This makes sense, but I am still not sure I could turn theory to practice lol
Do you use plastic or aluminum scales for knitting? |
I've never done it myself, but I've seen plenty of patterns that state that... and as for the scales, I'd imagine aluminum would be more durable.
I've used glow in the dark plastic scales for jewelry before. You have to be really trying to break them to be honest.
... I've managed to snap sewing needles in my bare hands. and broke one of my interchangeable knitting needle cables. I'm hard on my tools without meaning to be.

And I did have a friend ask if I could do a purse with the plastic glow in the dark scales once. I never did make it though since the scales cost more than I could afford at the time plus, based on her previous reluctance to pay a reasonable price for a blanket, I figured she wouldn't want to pay for it. |
I should probably work on christmas gifts soon...
Where do you get our scales from Kaderin? I'm guessing probably the same place that I do. XD
Ugh there's those terrible words again... I should be working. |
I just have a couple dice bags to sew. nbd.
