Now, I could just use the curve and line tools. But I don't honestly find those a whole lot easier, and then I have extra layers and such to deal with when I use them.

Red Lion 04-04-2013 07:32 PM

indeed, rooo, annoying and I hate using those on anything.

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 07:38 PM

Exactly.

Bah, people on Ernya defending cursive as "faster and better-looking". It was never either of those things for me, and I feel like the "better-looking" aspect of it causes it to lose any speed benefits it might have had. Because with cursive writing you're still following rules on how letters should look and how they should connect and the emphasis is generally on making it look neat and "pretty" because when cursive isn't neat, it's twice as hard to read as sloppy print. I think it defeats the purpose and if I want to write faster, I'll do it in whatever way comes naturally. "Faster" is just an excuse for old people to gripe and cling to something they know and like. r _r pfft.

Red Lion 04-04-2013 07:47 PM

I do write notably faster when I join up my letters, but I've never been overly concerned with neatness. Plus I find it easier to sign my name in cursive. my print is actually a bit sloppier and it's more all over the place cause I'm kind of naturally inclined to connect my letters.

My handwriting is a hybrid of cursive and print so I have my own weird shorthand that works for me.

gotta go eat now.

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 07:52 PM

Well, that's what I'm saying: cursive and just connecting your letters are two different things.

and OK

Red Lion 04-04-2013 08:12 PM

Well technically most of the letters are cursive ones. For me, at least, cursive is more natural and printing my letters takes more time because I try to keep them even when I print.

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 08:18 PM

But that's you trying to make them look a certain way. That is what I do when I try to write cursive: it just becomes about how it looks, and it slows me down.

Red Lion 04-04-2013 08:27 PM

Indeed, people should just do whatever feels natural,

I remember when I was a kid and my parents would sit me down and make me print all my homework in pen to try and discourage me from making mistakes. Printing was always about making the letters stencil straight and neat like my Dad writes them, and they'd get these traceable guides to fix my penmanship. I always had a tendency to put my letters close together and attach them so when third grade rolled around cursive was just more convenient and I found that preferable to printing them out.

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 08:34 PM

I had the opposite. I remember for a time, my mom and stepdad made me write all my assignments only in cursive, and I had started trying to learn to write in cursive pretty early on. Did not make it any better for me; it was just uncomfortable and looked twice as bad for no real reason.

Red Lion 04-04-2013 08:48 PM

Mine got me those things first graders use with the dotted letters to trace, it was all about making it look legible.

Which they failed miserably at,

I mean look at this example of my attempt to print neatly.

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 08:51 PM

It's... readable, at least?

Legibility was always a huge thing. But as you can see, none of that effort actually paid off or stuck.

Red Lion 04-04-2013 08:53 PM

No,

My cursive isn't much better but it's more uniform and I can write it more quickly

...is almost nine

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 08:56 PM

O wO So it is.

My cursive hasn't improved much since I first learned it. So I discard. I just write however the hell I damn well please and as long as you know what it says, it ain't gonna matter.

Red Lion 04-04-2013 08:57 PM

indeed! Same here!

Now if only people COULD read my handwriting....>.>

Roo I will wait by the phone!

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 08:58 PM

I CAN READ IT JUST FINE
and I can also read my own
we good.

Here you go.

How far ahead should we skip in RP?

Red Lion 04-04-2013 10:57 PM

hellloooo

I'm back.

and we should skip to Kurt's first encounter with Randy after Kurt had the kid.

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 11:01 PM

Indeedly. any particular plans for that encounter or specific events surrounding it?

Red Lion 04-04-2013 11:02 PM

Not really, I just want to sort of confirm that Kurt is no longer willing to fight with Randy...

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 11:04 PM

Roo, we can do dat.

At what point does the whole negroes in da hood thing happen? It'd have to have been before they started becoming friends.

Red Lion 04-04-2013 11:06 PM

Rooo, I would say shortly after this next scene would be a good place.

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 11:12 PM

'Deed, I think that works.

Red Lion 04-04-2013 11:15 PM

Yup, and then we can bring in Baby and Randy can understand why Kurt places being a husband and father over everything else.

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 11:17 PM

And then we get cutesy dad-moments!

Red Lion 04-04-2013 11:20 PM

Yay dad moments!

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 11:21 PM

It doesn't get much better than dad moments. ; u;

Red Lion 04-04-2013 11:24 PM

Nope, he gets to hold his baby for the first time ever!

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 11:30 PM

D'awwww ...Though I guess we don't need to re-write any of that, so we can just skip to the more Kurt-relevant stuff.

Red Lion 04-04-2013 11:33 PM

indeedly.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I was watching Chiller this morning before school and I saw a terrible, terrible Dracula movie. It was one of those "So Bad it's Enjoyable" to a point.

But the absolute best parts where when Dracula turned into a Giant Mantis and the Rutger Van Hellsing.

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 11:38 PM

whut
what
waht
I just don't.

Red Lion 04-04-2013 11:41 PM

It was this in a nutshell, god it's so awful, and campy and stupid and boobies and ridiculous.

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 11:47 PM

what the hell is this crap

Red Lion 04-04-2013 11:48 PM

...A Dracula movie?

....With Rutger Hauers and Giant Mantis Dracula?

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 11:51 PM

NO NO NO NO NO
this is ridic
this cannot be.

Red Lion 04-04-2013 11:52 PM

IT IS JUST LOOK AT IT IN ALL ITS GLORIOUS STUPIDITY!

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 11:54 PM

I just... GAH > A <

cannot even imagine what the thought process must have been in creating that.

Red Lion 04-04-2013 11:57 PM

It was this: I WANT MANTIS! GIVE ME GIANT MANTIS IN MY DRACULA MOVIE! AND I WANT BOOBIES! LOTS OF BOOBIES!.....and lastly let's get Rutger Hauer in this movie to lure in his fanbase into watching it so we'll get SOME kind of profit out of this.

uncledaddy 04-04-2013 11:58 PM

MY GOD

IT'S BRILLIANT

Red Lion 04-05-2013 12:00 AM

Oh it has all the worst things, bad CGI, terrible practical effects, some people who are clearly dubbed, awkward hilarious sex, over the top vampires and to top it all of Rutger Hauer being himself.

uncledaddy 04-05-2013 12:01 AM

...This is a must watch. oh lord they knew exactly what they were doing, didn't they?
