We would've had plenty of money to spare and spend on anything.
Car payments. Other bills that came up. And the rest in savings or on things we wanted.
I dunno why he wouldn't do it..

That job would personally drive me insane
xD

but good luck to you~

It'd been nice to work till you had all paid off an 500k in savings. -nods-
Then relax a little with a less demanding job.

Thanks, I'd not pick something like that but I cannot stand dealing with a lot of people in person.

Lost 12-06-2010 01:20 PM

I can't stand people. And I don't have to work with them much at the post office. Its the perfect job for me
xD

I wish I could get that much in savings.
At one point a had 7k.
But I spent it all.
between school classes and birthdays and rent etc.
It didn't last long.

Yommy 12-06-2010 01:22 PM

What do you do exactly? I would not mind it if I was in the back room working. ^_^

I know how you feel, it'd be so nice having 500k drawing intrest in the bank. >.<

Lost 12-06-2010 01:28 PM

I work in the back. putting mail onto a machine that sort it by zip. There are different sort plans and I do basically the same thing for an 8-12 hour shift 5-6 days a week
^.^;
not sure if that explains it.
I could go more in depth if ya want

Yommy 12-06-2010 01:34 PM

I saw that done on tv but didn't know how well it worked. So the job pays well, yes? I'd love a job like that as well.

Lost 12-06-2010 01:38 PM

$11 an hour. I'm in a temp position, but its pretty much a sure thing that I won't be let go. I have no rights. They say stay I have to stay. I have no benefits. I have no sick time or vacation time.
Its a pretty crappy position all things considered. But the money draws you in and keeps you there.

Yommy 12-06-2010 01:42 PM

The money is always what makes people stay. I know that for a fact. I worked at a factory making shocks an struts for autos just for the money. When I had to quit I was making 15 a hour not counting over time so in a week after taxes I'd bring home over 950k a week.

Lost 12-06-2010 01:46 PM

950,000
a week?
O.O
*dies*

Yommy 12-06-2010 01:52 PM

-nods- My ex spent it all on crap like take out an things that made him happier. So if I went out shopping for me I ended up buying for my kids only since they never got anything from him.

Lost 12-06-2010 01:54 PM

aw man.
Thats just crazy.
Freakin insane.
Why not just put it away somewhere? Honestly the interest on that.... it would've been so much money.
Didn't he think about the long term benefits?

Yommy 12-06-2010 01:58 PM

He never thought of anything but himself. I could tell you so many things he did that just destroyed us altogether. Like in the end of things he bankrupted us via dropping all his money from credit cards into the dropping stock markets.

Lost 12-06-2010 02:02 PM

O.O
oh.. damn...
someone really didn't teach him how to save/live
Thats no way to make money...
not even close..
Why do people think the stocks can save them?
Maybe a little profit over time, but its nothing to dump everything into and just say "haha now to become rich!" it doesn't work that way...
if it does on the off chance your really god damn lucky..

Yommy 12-06-2010 02:08 PM

Exactly an because he lost his ass in it he took me down with him. >.<
When I quit my good job I had 21k come in a check that would have paid a lot off the house or paid of my truck an he took almost every dime of it to try an save his self from the bills he created just to do it all again in 3 months. Always buying newer an bigger electronics an himself new clothes while telling the kids their Christmas clothes or School clothes had to last a year. I really followed my mother's footsteps in that relationship.

Coda 12-06-2010 02:16 PM

USD$950,000 per week for a factory job? Are you sure that's the right number of zeroes? *stares* It'd take me over fifteen years to make $950,000 before taxes at my current salary. $950/week seems MUCH more likely, that'd be USD$50,000/year, which is a very respectable income -- that's more than I was making at my last job and I was supporting a family of three comfortably.

Lost 12-06-2010 02:17 PM

But your not with him now right?
God I hope not.
I mean I understand when people say "but I love him/her"
Yet theres an limit... Thats not a healthy relationship for you or your kids.

Coda; thats what I thought which is why I asked
o.o
