Kyari carried her bow confidently, her dagger comfortingly at her side, and her father's sword in its sheath, "Ready for training, Captain, if you'll take me."
Taishi looked to the person and blinked "Ummm no... one here at the moment is a captain though I'm sure they would be happy to have you" she would say with a smile on her child like face, though her eyes soon turned back to the see through book she was reading
Kyari bowed her head, "My apologies. Is there anyone here in charge?"
Taishi shook her head as she continued to read "Nope, the general is in her tent with a captain having a conversation" she would say almost distant in her youthful voice "We've to relax as when Miss Fenrir comes back she is going to train us till we wish we where dead" she finish vurning a page of the crystal book
Kyari nodded. "Is there anything else I should know?"
Letiel had been watching the newcomer. She seemed familiar...
"General Fenrir's training is hard." |
Taishi looked up hearing that statement "A lot, first she gives you wings, she wants to see you wourk with a companion... then she flings you into a void where you have to call your wings back, followed by being stuck in your worst nightmare... that's as far as we've got so far" she would say looking back down at her book, she did really seem out of place here,s he looked like she should be in a school learning not in a war camp
"I escaped my nightmare..." Lucid remarked from her resting spot. "Afterwards, I was attacked by many dopplegangers of Fenrir. I had almost killed them all, too, when she was attacked...."
Taishi blinked hearing another voice "welcome to the party" she would say distantly once more as she read
Kyari nodded again. "There's nothing in particular I need to do then?"
(Hey, random question here...I've 40 feathers. What should I do with them? I only have one of each of the Feather bundles, but I don't know if I should save up.)
(Save up! Did you see the Race to 375k announcement?)
(Yeah, but but but Lunae's would sell nicely. Wellllll. Those items would too.)
((Save if need me i have spares I can give you later))
With no apparent response, Kyari turned away, pulling out an arrow and practicing into a tree.
(I'm assuming there is a tree...I don't have time to read 20 pages...) |
((Yeah there are trees))
Taishi looked up from her book hearing something hitting a tree, seeing an arrow poking out of it she blinked in disbelief "You do relize there is an archery range right" she would say standing walking over to the tree quickly and taking out the arrow of it a gentle sigh coming out of her mouth "Forgive her" she would say gently ribbing the bark her hand glowing white as she began to heal it |
((Lucid has 3 full sets and now has over 300 feathers saved up. She's pretty much covered on item hoarding. XD Coda, didn't you say you were changing currency outputs for me to not get so much? =P ))
Lucid, who had practiced shooting her gunblade on the range for many weeks, stepped in to lead the newcomer. "So you're training under Kyren? He's a fun one, surely," she chuckled. "Here, the archery range is this way." Lucid began walking off, she wanted to get away from the crowd of worried people around the camp anyway. |
Taishi looked back from the tree and smiled hearing a familure voice "hello miss" she's say with a polite wave her hand coming away from the tree as it healed

"My apologies, again," Kyari muttered, following Lucid.
Taishi smiled gently "Don't be sorry... you didn't know, and the tree's heart bares you no ill will" she say moving after them to watch the training besides the sun would be better in the archery range to read at the moment
"I have a habit for apologizing. I suppose it's one I should break, but I do not wish to offend anyone."

• • Mew wanders into the training ground for the first time, taking in her surroundings. She had just joined the fight recently and felt that she needed to improve her skills and of course the training grounds were the place to go. She quietly stepped towards the weaponry area, not wanting to draw attention to herself or yet interact with her fellow recruits. • • |
(Changed my avi, so the one in my siggy is my RP character.)
Espy leaned forward. She was perched on a branch several feet above the heads of the soldier, and saw a new recruit walking cautiously towards the weapons tent. |
• • The amount of weapons available was immense, and Mew was immediately drawn to the small, easily hidden and long-distance ones. She should have been drawn to them, after all, she had been training under Taiye and was a part of the Ghosts of Ascellus, though she did not wield the primarily used gunblade. She picked up a delicate but deadly sharp throwing knife, turned around to face the length of bulls-eye targets, and flung the weapon with a flick of her wrist towards one, striking the center with deadly accuracy. She allowed herself a small smile and turned back around to continue looking through the large collection of knives, darts, and similar throwing weapons. • • |
Espy took one step off the tree, moving so quickly it seemed as if she has disappeared. She stopped right behind the new recruit, back to back. "You're accurate for a new one," she muttered.
• • Mew was surprised when she heard the woman behind her speak, she hadn't even known she was there. Without turning to face her she replied blandly, "I may be new but I learn quick. You have to on the battlefield of course. If you don't, you're dead. " She continued sorting through the weapons until she finally picked up a belt of shuriken, a weapon she needed more practice with. • • |
Espy eyed the belt. "How much have you learned?" she asked, unfastening the sash that kept her robe down. She pulled the cloak off, threw it to the side, and placed a hand on the trigger of her katar.
• • Her golden eyes followed the movements of her fellow recriut and saw her hand placed on the small, wide blade. She grinned and wrapped the belt around her waist, as well as drawing a small, thin blade from its sheath hidden under her cloak. "You wish to spar?" Mew said as she drew her blade in front of her, sliding her right foot slightly behind her, her muscles tensing. • • |
(Shit, gtg. I'll try to get back as soon as I can.)
• • [Awww, too bad, it was just getting interesting haha. >8D] • • |
(Pretend I'm watching you or something.)
• • [Well really, this is good timing because I need to get going too. xD;;;] • • |
Espy released both katars. "That would--"
Without further warning, she sprang, launching herself off a post. |
• • [Omg I got back on at the perfect time. xD] Again, Mew was taken by surprise by this woman! She quickly blocked the blow with her blade and ducked out of the way, but not before suffering a cut to her cheek. Mew sprang back up from her crouch and swung her slender blade at her opponent's arm. Without checking to see if her blow had struck its target she fled about fifteen yards away and snatched one of the shuriken out of her belt and flung it towards her opponent with incredible speed. • • |
(HOLY. Perfect timing XD Also, in RP's, I'm a bit open-ended. Like, I attack, but I usually don't say I hit. So feel free to do whatever XD)
Espy retracted her left katar and caught the shuriken between two fingers. "The route...was too predictable. But you seem extremely experienced." In a flash, Espy had moved behind Mew again, this time with her blade at the recruit's throat. "Who did you learn this from? I've never seen a divine with such skills." Espy blinked for a second. "You know, I really don't care much." She dropped her hand and leapt several feet back. There she stood with her arms out. "Hit me." |
• • [Yes, I was like "holy hell" xD Oh and with fighting scenes I let the other person say what happens to them too, I just don't like when the other person never allows themself to get hurt like they're invincible. xD;; But I also don't want to say I did this to that person. :O] Before she knew it she was behind her, with a blade at her throat. Dammit, I still need to train my eyes against such speed... she thought with disgust at herself. She felt a growl rumble in her chest and when the other recruit stepped back she brought her sword back up. "I've learned my skills from the battlefield, fighting the Corrupt and defending my skin," she spoke loudly. Then she raised her sword and threw it swiftly across the grounds, grazing the other woman's ear and watched it sink firmly into the center of another target. "Now, please excuse me," she said as she walked to the target and retrieved her blade, then continued to walk away from the other woman. • • |
(By ear, you'd mean those pointy fox ears, right? And that was Espy was of apologizing for being harsh; she doesn't say sorry much.)
Espy twitched as her ear was nicked. Then she sat down with a slight -thud-. "The shuriken. Throw it so that it curves. And also..." she trailed off in a chuckle, before continuing softly, "Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer. I've learned that the hard way." She paused, then said, "You. What's your name?" (I just remembered that my character hasn't actually learned your name yet x_X) |
• • [Yes, I assume those are her only ears lulz. o u o] Mew was not one who accepted criticism with good spirits, so after hearing the tips she grimaced, but when she turned around she tried to hide it. If she was going to be here for a little while she might as well try and be friendly, no matter how hard it would be for her. These were fellow Divines after all... just the Corrupt were the enemy... She sighed deeply and replied "My name is Mew, and I guess it's customary that I ask for yours too isn't it?" There, that was friendly enough, wasn't it?• • |
(Lolol. Our characters have similar personalities. Espy'd get annoyed if anyone higher up asked.)
"Espy," she replied simply, then added, "You seem trustworthy enough to know my full name. Esprit Serami Kienra. I suppose you haven't heard of either family, though. Serami is...was...a long line of alchemists. Kienra was a line of skilled assassins. My family and I were considered nobility before officials attacked us, fearing that our power would grow too strong. And I've been looking for my siblings ever since. Maybe they're with the Corrupt. I'd do anything to find them, even go to extremes." Espy heaved a sigh. Why had she told the new recruit all of this? Even she didn't know. "I'll have you know now, before anything happens, that the captains are suspicious of me. With good reason, too. But...you have nothing to fear." (Sorry >.< I'm so slow at posting.) |
