I can kind of crochet? It's just been over a decade since I did it last...

I'll stick to my chainmaille.

I'll gladly spin thread though, like half of all day I'll spin or weave.

Actually the last of the "basic" weaves I learned was European 4 in 1. Everyone always says it's so easy, but it's hella unstable until you get a couple rows in, so no, it's really not. Byzantine or Box maille is actually an easier starter weave... or Persian. Basically anything that isn't Euro 4 in 1 lol.

My obsession lately has been the square wire rings. They're so pretty. A bit of a bugger to work with, but so fun.

Yeah, I started with the Euro 4 in 1, then moved onto Byzantine (my fave!) and helms chain, which I can kind of do, but definitely need to check and buy different ring sizes when I can afford to, and fairly recently started on box chain.

Square cut rings are so cool! I bought some to use for a Byzantine weave lanyard for a friend, but we had a falling out before I finished it...so I guess I get to keep it when it's done...

If you can do byzantine you can do boxmaille lol it's the same thing.

Essentially yeah it is. It's pretty easy I just haven't really done anything with it really.

I am making a necklace out of it right now funnily enough.

Nice! I think I have a small chain just kind of started with it. I was possibly doing a bracelet? I do a lot of those...

We make a ton of bracelets. They have the highest profit margin

I really had been saving up to put them in a craft fair type thing my one job hosts in November, but they decided to cancel it this year at the last minute and I just haven't gotten around to doing anything with my chainmaille stuff yet.

My husband and I are getting ready to try to go from me having a regular job to trying to live on our crafting alone... which is scary, but I'm looking forward to it.

I bet you'll be fine! Although, I can understand how scary it could be.
