Oh, skunks are awesome. <3
Plus, I actually don't mind the scent that they excrete, in fact I enjoy it quite a bit. >.> |
It's not like they stink all the time, so I'm not worried. Just have to raise them up well and incidents should be minimal.
|
Aw, I really do like their unique scent. X3
But it would be helpful to raise them well to not release it all the time, or others won't be too happy with it. XD |
Their musk isn't really all that unpleasant; it's when they SPRAY it that it's a problem. I agree -- the smell of a happy skunk isn't really offensive at all.
|
I love skunk smells of all varieties though, both happy and...what most others deem unpleasant. X3
|
Skunk spray doesn't bother me that much either. I don't find the actual odor that bad; the problem is the strength of it.
|
Yeah, skunk smells can be pretty strong. But I don't mind their strength, either. XD
|
I've never known anyone with a skunk as a pet, only snakes or cute little ferrets.
In NJ they are legal with a license but I have too much on my plate to indulge such a frivolous desire. |
I've known people, both from real life and online, that do own or have owned a snake at one point in time. Though, they definitely aren't the common pets so those numbers are far and few between. :(
And now that I've got the idea from Gally, I want to own a skunk as well... >.> <3 |
I've had ... 4 snakes -nod-
All garter snakes |
Aw, no ball pythons Ulti? :(
|
Nah, too expensive ^^;
All the snakes and turtles I have/had we found in our yard owo; |
My sister had a skunk. It tried to rip your fingers off when you went to feed it. Wasn't a terribly nice pet from what I hear. Maybe it was just grumpy.
Don't know about domestic skunks but wild skunks smell all the time. The sprays are insane but you can smell them coming so they're easy to avoid. We know then they arrive in the yard because the smell comes in through the window. To me the spray smells like someone burning onions and garlic in rubber tires. To my knowledge, pet skunks usually have their scent glands removed so spraying is not really an issue. |

One day, I want my own pet snakes. Like a ton of different species of ball pythons, and possibly some various boas as well. <3 |
My sister thought about a snake for a while. I don't mind the idea but I object to anything large enough to kill a small dog or a cat.
|
-nod nod- There are some tiny snakes (eg garters) that probably cant even kill a rat o.o
|
Well there's killing and there's eating, but I imagine the rat would do a number on a garter. I don't think they're constrictors.
My sister was mostly looking at king and corn snakes I think. Little guys. |
Well, those little guys can be quite the conversation starter.....which reminds me of a story one of the guys I went to basic shared with me that involved snakes......
|
My cousin is one for exotic pets. He had an iguana which didn't get along all that well with the family cat. He kept piranhas for a while, and has an ocean tank right now, and a couple of cats. His friend's ferret attempted to make off with one of the piranha at one point. Catching it proved hazardous as the ferret proceeded to drag the pissed off piranha under the couch and any attempts to retrieve the fish met with angry clawing ferret and angry snapping fish. They got it back though. It lived.

Though, wild snakes don't have this luxury with wild rodents, so I'd love to see how they do it without getting harmed. But then again, they probably have better instincts since they /are/ wild. Quote:

Garter snakes eat insects and things like slugs and little frogs apparently. Some mice could do damage to the garter snakes I've seen, I highly doubt they'd manage a rat. That didn't mean I was happy to let my rat wander around on the grass when a garter happened by though.
|
eastern browns are one of the deadliest snakes in the world >.>
|
Are they? I don't know much about snakes.

I think my family sort of had a relatively big pet lizard at one point, which my dad was almost deathly frightened of...Basically, we think it'd run away from somewhere, and stayed around our house eating bugs...It listened and stayed completely still when my mom told it to "stay" and proceeded to rake up the leaves around it. ...It fell into our swimming pool. That was a very sad day. |
Oooh, do you know what kind of lizard it was Espy?
|
If you could choose to have just one of the staff as a sibling, which one would it be? O 3o
|
Is that for everyone or just staffers?
|
Just the staffers. Kami and co. are exempt xP....That is....unless Alpha really wants to keep a staffer friend/pet/slave/sibling/whatever-magical-princess.
|
Gall. That really wasn't a question :|
|
But I want Gally. <3
If repeats aren't allowed, I'm taking Nexy then. >.> |
No, it's alright. Everyone can take a little piece of Galla xP
|
if galla was my sibling i would have killed her in her sleep long ago
|
D8> *scared of Ashy-tron* XAx
|
@Kami: But I don't want to tear Gally into pieces! D: I'd actually rather you not allow repeats, this way no Gallys would be harmed with this questions of yours.
@Ashy: Hmph. HOW DARE YOU. D:< |
There are clones Owo. Galla clones owo
|
I don't want no clone. I want the real thing. >.>
But, technically, if Nexy chooses Gally, and I choose Nexy, then Gally is mine through Nexy. >.> |

Espy would be fun to have as a sibling. Be fun to have another competent combatant around. *brandishes Nerf gear*
