Methaly called, asked me to cover her shift tomorrow, but I already work 1-6, her's is 4-9:30. They'd have to allow me 1-9:30, which cuts team trivia, and is a full shift. But nobody has told me whether I'm doing or not.

Applebee's holds a team trivia night starting at 8, runs quite late. But now we won't be able to because I was stupid and agreed to cover if a manager said it was okay for me to work the 1-9:30

But no manager has called to say it was okay. And I told Methaly she would have to have bob say it was okay.

So you currently have no idea how long you will be working tomorrow...that sucks. They will probably tell you to stay as soon as you get in to work tomorrow.

I'm going to call before going in. They have to approve of it for many reasons. One is that they need to know that you agreed to do it, and they have to talk to you to confirm. Second is that it would require them to give me a lunch, which those kind of shifts are rare these days. So I'm not sure what's going on.

We've had problems about "Oh yeah they said they'd cover" and then it wasn't. And managers need to know. Hence why the put in the thing about they have to clear it.

I'm now kind of hoping they won't approve it.

Yeah. Tenitively we've scheduled for 10 PM. But I would like to be there for trivia night. -Shrugs- I don't know. I guess I'll call and see tomorrow before. Plus it will effect whether or not I take a lunch with me. If I get lunch, I'll have to bring one. But if they tell me no, then I don't wanna cart a lunch to work and not need it.

So Liosh, did you get to do your Trivia thing today or not? Judging by the time I'd say not...also since you want to smack people I'm sensing an overdose of Staples.

Sadly, I did not get to have that trivia thing tonight. For many reasons. I called and they said I was working 1-9:30. No manager had called me to verify and confirm that I was willing to do that. I was suppose to at least hang out with them tonight at 10. But one texted how she was tired, and would take a nap to see if that fixed things. The other texted saying she didn't feel well. So we're going to try again tomorrow.

I went in at 1, and then I was told to go to lunch at 4. Three hours. And I wasn't given another break. Good thing I decided to not use a tampon. -Rolls her eyes- Not to be too much information here, but seriously? I'm female. I had to pee from 7 until we closed.

Go go stupid retail... -sigh- I'd always try to put a lunch at LEAST at the halfway point in a shift if not later. And no other breaks? Ugh, it's starting to sound like how I was at Wal-Mart all over again. And my ex when she worked at Target...

I know right? I was like "serious?"

It is ridiculous. I told my mom if I have to, I will say over the walkies "I need coverage NOW, unless you want to have my tampon leak/let me get TSS"

Probably not the best plan...but that would be very funny to hear.
