105 Oh that sounds like tons of fun take me with XD

hyjin 08-27-2017 10:45 AM

106 I wish I could have my place already but it's not built yet... >.> They still got lots to do

dragoness129 08-27-2017 11:32 AM

107 - I wish I had my own place.
Lucky that yours is being built.

SparX 08-27-2017 11:50 AM

108 I need a new place, I fear one day serg is gonna fall through the floor D: And there's a leak under the house costing me water. . . and let us not forgot what happened with the septic tank last year XD
Part of me feels it is still better to rent then to own =x

tsukiko 08-27-2017 12:43 PM

109 far better to own, dear sparx! granted you have to do your own maintenance but really...when does management ever take care of shit? =_= and most of the time, your mortgage is about the same or less than you pay every month in rent...though instead of the "rent" money going to some property management people, it's going straight to the bank paying little by little off your home xD

dragoness129 08-27-2017 02:04 PM

110 - I would love to own my own place too.

hyjin 08-27-2017 02:11 PM

111- i mean at the price we were gonna pay for rent this year it was gonna be waaaaay cheaper to build

SparX 08-27-2017 02:45 PM

112 I meant that coming from experience. I live in the property my mom is still paying off, but she doesn't want the house, so I have had to dish out hundreds at a time and pull out loans just to get things fixed. That being, water leaks have destroyed some of the floors (again), my ceiling is separating from the walls, replace the toilets, and some rooms don't even have electricity. . . Owning a newer home that is completely up to standards and code would be ideal. But owning a fixer-upper is a nightmare.
I dream of tearing this house down and moving a new double wide modular here. But that is after the rest of the mortgage is payed off in ten years or so .-.

tsukiko 08-27-2017 03:13 PM

113 awwwwww *hugs tightly* i see now. :(

dragoness129 08-27-2017 03:18 PM

114 - the house my mom and step dad are in is falling apart. They have been trying to fix it up some, but the cutbutone guy didn't finish and left his stuff here. The guy basically took the money, did a partial job, and split. They are looking into suing him.

SparX 08-27-2017 03:27 PM

115 similar situation here, except mom decided to trust a handyman instead of a licensed professional, and my father messed it up more by attempting to repair it before that guy. . .

hyjin 08-27-2017 03:42 PM

116 ouch you both had some pretty bad house luck.

tsukiko 08-27-2017 04:25 PM

117 sounds sort of like the mess we were dealing with with the kitchen remodel. guy said he was a professional, ended up acting highly UNprofessional and did a shitty sloppy job. we're still cleaning up after him and this was done back in april/may =/ he forgot a 3inch spacer for the upper cabinets, my sister said something about it looking slightly off and he went ape-shit on her, basically saying a female has no business telling a male he screwed up. he came back the next day and ripped all the cabinets out and rehung the one that the spacer was to go by...crooked and then rehung the rest >__> leaving extra screw holes in the cabinets where WE had to refill them because he didn't want to do it. there are other things....but we all were livid with his behavior and lack of professionalism.

hyjin 08-27-2017 04:33 PM

118 wow wtf was wrong with that guy >.>

dragoness129 08-27-2017 05:20 PM

119 - Yeah, makes you wonder who you can trust to do a good job.
My mom's situation happened back in January and she is paying phone tag with the layers because she works the graveyard shift.

SparX 08-27-2017 07:54 PM

120 so many shady people taking advantage of good well meaning folk. Effin BS.
