One of those opened about 5 miles away from my house a couple months ago.

It's a cool store, but it's less of the super wacky off the wall stuff and more of the fandom stuff that you'd find on ThinkGeek.

Not bad, of course. Lotsa neat stuff. But ThinkGeek is cool for all the super goofy things, I think.

i got a wallet and handbag that look like books from them online. =)

my bag (it's a book bag. LOL) gets a lot of comments. "it looks like a book!" XD

i got a tea set that the cups are the ctrl alt and del key on your keyboard

i don't think i've ever used them though. . . XD

i got a Spellbook Wallet and their Olde Book Purse (which currently out of stock now. hee.)

My girlfriend got a teapot and cup that stack on top of each other and look like BB8.

The first thing she did upon getting it was drop the teapot lid. It shattered.

I want to visit the Nintendo Store speaking of NYC..

i would probably drop part of a set like that too :( terrible luck

i went to NYC the monday after Turkey Day because younger daughter had a concert at Alice Tully Hall, which is part of Lincoln Center. but i took a bus that was available through the school, so... yeah.

i don't drive in big cities, not even Philly. so yeah, i don't do cities. XD

BB8 is adorable!

I repaired the lid, but some of the ceramic is gone forever, unfortunately.

I'm being pretty productive today, too! :D I've gotten almost all of the crunchy bits of new avatar editor UI done.

All that's left apart from fluffy bits, is to actually have the closet interface and starring items.

Yes, actually, they are.

Software Engineering technical terms are generally one of three things:

Incredibly esoteric literary reference (Little Endian)
Dorky as all hell (half a byte is a nibble)
Silly (Crunchy)

Actually, "Crunchy" and "Fluffy" is really a Pen & Paper RPG (like D&D) term. It just happens to work here.

"Crunch" in that context is the numbers, stats, etc, for a character, while "Fluff" is background, personality, story, etc.


So, applying that to what I'm doing, the "Crunchy" stuff is what's dealing with the numbers and deciding how to handle things, while the "Fluffy" stuff is shuffling it around on the screen a bit.

Ohh, okay that makes sense. I still can't help but think of cookies and things hearing "crunchy" and "fluffy" XD.
