They only did that as they are planning on adding in the later generations at some point, plus it would leave younger players wondering why the types had changed. Also it means that there are more achievements surrounding the type collecting...

RinLin 07-18-2016 07:28 PM

Bah, younger players! XD I grew up with the first Gen, and I am used to those types. :3

I sucks for anyone to wait. IMO

Keep in mind that the reason that the game DIDN'T get a simultaneous global launch is because the server infrastructure ISN'T THERE for it. It's not there for the regions that HAVE been launched; there's no sense in making it ten times worse.

Niantic is an American based company, it made sense that they launched here before Japan….

And I am having an awesome allergic reaction to some bug bites and can't play til the swelling in my leg goes down.

So far, I've evolved a:
Flareon, Beedrill, Pidgeot, Fearow...
...it takes 41 magikarp to evolve one.
Edit: if you're lucky. Unlucky takes 124 of them.

Edit 2:
A cool thing to do - pop a lure at a Children's Hospital or McDonald House pokestop. :)

Demonskid 07-19-2016 11:07 AM

-waits for mail- ._.

... -moves into that house- >w>

Tiva 07-19-2016 11:07 AM

Ummm MagiKarp take 101… You get 3 per catch and 1 on transfer

Lawtan 07-19-2016 11:15 AM

...One gave me 10 on a catch, that's why I am confused. O.o

I saw a picture online about PGO in Canada (pre-launch) and it had a stuffed Haunter hanging on a clothesline. I was actually thinking it might be fun to have a little "Safari" thing one day, in a rural area like mine since even Google Maps has trouble so the game might not run well. Could make a little family event with maybe toys or cards and you find them with compass directions or clues.
