I personally prefer to join sites that don't have baggage, since said baggage tends to haunt the site if not taken care of quickly.

I've been on most sites, and that isn't the case when they just start. When most sites open up, they don't baggage or skeletons.

"Just start" is a different issue for me...I'm not alert enough to actually know when there are new sites x_X

I tend to join sites within the first few days to within the first six months. Either through word of mouth, lurking, or searching on google.

Quite obviously some people are not ready for this to be made public. So thanks to that random hater access to the dev blog has been taken off just now until I have fully finished my business at "Jinkshit" as they so amusingly called it.

That sure is 'brand' new xD Only one post and all lol.
I hope one day I might be able to run my own avi site. I think it'll be fun. It's hard work, but I'm up for it I think.

Im currently waiting for Malthea, i was also waiting for this other avi site called Elidun(i think) but idk the site is gone, i think, and this is just a thought, but i think that it was a scam because it had donate button on the site and all of a sudden the site is no longer there :/ idk thats just my opinion

Eli isn't a scam, the server or the hosting or something like that went down. They're moving to a new VPS and beta will open again in February.
