I'm just laughing my head off seeing sheogorath again. I loved him in oblivion's shivering isle's, I was quoting him for weeks. *Sniffle*
So that's what happened to my Hero of Cyrodill, he lives happily as a Loonatic god who enjoys ripping out organs.

Quiet Man Cometh 12-19-2011 11:01 PM

I don't get too many knee arrow comments. Usually it's commendations on my light armour, or, more recently, request for me to brew ale. Apparently my alchemical skill is noteworthy.

Not the most usefull skill in the world, but damn handy when one is stuck in a mean dungeon and finds a random alchemy station. I farm certain ingredients from time to time when I run low. Yup. The dragon-slaying thane of Whiterun takes time out to catch butteflies.

Skyrim only missed one thing in my opinion. Armour for my horse. The thing takes on dragons but dies to a poisonous lobster looking thing. Though in all fairness, it killed me too. But still...

Drakath 01-01-2012 09:13 PM

I borrowed it from a friend over winter break.

I have not been this addicted to a single game since Breath of fire III, or Oblivion.

Reyoki 01-02-2012 12:57 AM

I know, right?! It's easy to get sucked into sandbox games like this for DAYS without realizing it!

Quiet Man Cometh 01-02-2012 03:37 AM

My friend toted his fancy computer over to my house to show me Skyrim on ultra graphics as his case for me buying a new computer. It's so pretty! I found out that what looks like a mountian range on my map is actually one really big mountain.

Found out the other day my horse can swim. :). Sort of.

Reyoki 01-02-2012 02:25 PM

My horse flew away... like, literally. I was riding along like usual, then I came across some wolves and dismounted to fight them. As soon as my boots touched the ground... my horse flew off the side of the mountain path towards a nearby village... I still haven't been able to find it. I think it may have died from the fall.

Ducky 01-02-2012 02:42 PM

My horse did that once, but it flew straight up. turned up a few hours later, destroying some bandits.

Reyoki 01-02-2012 02:51 PM

Skyrim horses are pretty badass. It makes me want to buy one for my main character so she won't have to go into battle alone.

Ducky 01-02-2012 03:10 PM

They're pretty much the ultimate tanks. especially if you get that crazy demon one.. it's life regens faster than damage can be done.

Funkduder 01-02-2012 05:09 PM

Derp. I got the Wolf-Form from the companions so I just run using wolf-form to get around.

Ducky 01-02-2012 05:13 PM

I'm a werewolf, but I never ever use the form. I jsut forget it's there. I don't even use a horse, as they have a habit of getting in the way and starting fights i would like to avoid.

LadyCopperFoxx 01-03-2012 11:02 PM

I'm slowly working on the Companions quest.
I don't really want to become a werewolf.

Reyoki 01-04-2012 12:04 AM

O.o Become a werewolf?! I must do this on my Khajit character! It will be so contradictory!

Quiet Man Cometh 01-04-2012 01:57 AM

You hardly notice the werewolf thing. I got vampired and it was the most expedient way I could think of to be unvampired.

Sounds like your horse jumped Reyoki. The tend to be rather impressive when they do that. I've started running away from battles I'd rather not fight if I'm on my horse. Tends to work. I kinda want to get one with a different colour but I'm attached to my first girl. :)

Ducky 01-04-2012 04:13 AM

The only drawback from being a is the lack of resting bonuses from beds, but I never do that anyway. I don't use my wolf form at all, but I also see no point in wasting time to get rid of it.

Quiet Man Cometh 01-04-2012 11:20 PM

Do the bonuses help much? I've never really paid attention. I just sleep to pass the time when it's dark and I need a store open. I'm being non-thiefly in this game.

LadyCopperFoxx 01-05-2012 12:59 AM

I know becoming a werewolf helps with being resistant to disease, but my BF says his werewolf character has still contracted diseases. He said he even had the negative effect from it, too.
He checked in the magic inventory.

Suzerain of Sheol 01-05-2012 01:04 AM

The 1.2 patch broke every kind of resistance when it came out. The 1.3 patch supposedly fixed the issue.

Ducky 01-05-2012 06:35 AM

I don't know about the sleep bonuses, as I've never had them. As for getting diseases, I swear i get more than i did when not a werewolf. I haven't patched at all, because I haven't had a single glitch or issue with my game, other than funny physics.

Quiet Man Cometh 01-05-2012 02:25 PM

You guys on console? Haven't had those issues so far, I don't think. Not sure. I haven't read up on diseases, but I know being a werewolf makes you immune to vampirism. It's not like diseases are hard to cure anyway. The Talos shrine in Whiterun can do it, or any other divine shrine I imagine.

Ducky 01-05-2012 02:38 PM

I'm on PC, and I seem to have the least buggy copy of the game in existence.

Reyoki 01-05-2012 02:41 PM

Reyo is on PS3 with hers. It sometimes has loading problems with the higher-level characters.

Ducky 01-05-2012 02:47 PM

I thought they had patched that? Or did it just lessen it, rather than provide a full fix?

Reyoki 01-05-2012 03:10 PM

It lessened it quite a bit, but it does still happen on occasion.

LadyCopperFoxx 01-06-2012 11:04 PM

I'm on xbox.
Sometimes my game freezes on larger characters.

Illusion 01-07-2012 01:34 AM

Haha! Found a glitch to easily get to level 81!
>w<
I have a lvl 81 Mage now (Mages are extremely overpowering at this level o.o )
I think I'm going to make a maxed out warrior now... I haven't been one yet. Only thieves and mages.. Perhaps a battle Mage after that?

Jurinjo 01-07-2012 03:39 PM

@Illusion: I'm a mage! Can you share cheat? OwO
ps I'm on the Xbox

Illusion 01-07-2012 06:17 PM

North of winterhold college there is a cave with this mage guy.. Talk to him about the elder scrolls, he'll give you a quest to go out and solve his box. Go through the dungeon, solve the puzzle, and grab the elder scroll. Go back to him and he will give you one more quest to collect the blood of all kinds of elves (you need to be level 15) kill any of the elves in skyrim and collect their blood when you loot them. Go back to the dude and the orb chamble thing opens. He dies then you go collect the book. (Choose don't read) Finish the quest and go to your house (You need a bookshelf that you can click and put books in) I suggest saving at this point in case you mess up. Click on the bookshelf and go to the book you just got, open th book but close it as fast as you can (the o button on the ps3 I dunno what on xbox) then quickly press (square on ps3) button to put the book on the sheif. The option to gain bonuses from the book appear, click the one you choose then grab the book from the sheif again (do not read) and repeat the process.

Jurinjo 01-07-2012 08:20 PM

Sweet! Hopefully this will work on the xbox. I should be able to find out tomorrow. Everyone is awake right now.

Quiet Man Cometh 01-08-2012 12:29 AM

That's a boring way to do things. :P

I have too much fun just running around on my horse and exploring things though. I level up fast enough as it is.

LadyCopperFoxx 01-08-2012 01:57 AM

I have a ton of fun leveling.
My friends and I all try to see who can out level who.

Quiet Man Cometh 01-08-2012 02:05 AM

Heh. I'm looking for more word walls right now, or dragons to kill. I'm currenttly dodging the quests that I have, not sure what I want to do right now or if I want to do any. Mean's I've left some poor guy standing outside a tower where I'm supposed to help him. At least Skyrim is forgivable that way.

Ducky 01-08-2012 03:02 PM

I don't really see the fun in maxing out your level through a cheat. Doesn't that sort of take all the fun out of the game?
Since I have the PC version i don't have to do tedious glitch levelling, i can simply use the console commands. I've tried them out(like maxing my character so big you can only see one foot on the screen) but I ended up deleting the character because it got boring fast.

Jurinjo 01-08-2012 04:29 PM

I can't wrap my head around opening console commands for PC stuff. I need someone to sit there and do it for me. >____<

And the fun is the fact you're cheating. Plus I really hate level grinding. You should meet my step-dad. He's a bigger cheater than I am :p

Ducky 01-08-2012 04:40 PM

I don't see there being any need to get to level 81 though. I completed the whole story and all the main quest lines before I even hit 30. While cheating is fun, in the long run i think it takes a lot out of big games like Skyrim. The whole point of it is leveling and improving through adventure.

Illusion 01-08-2012 07:27 PM

Level 81 character is not fun???
IT IS VERY FUN! Just try fighting an Elder or Ancient dragon at that level with max difficulty.

And trying to make a super strong enchantments and poisons.. And..

Well long story short, it's all the fun you were hoping for when you began the game.

Sir Quackers McWaddleton 01-08-2012 08:14 PM

From what I've heard level 81 isn't even a possible level without cheating, though i may be wrong. And don't the enemies scale with you to a degree, so fighting the same enemy of max difficulty would be equally fun or hard at a lower level?

Jurinjo 01-08-2012 08:25 PM

The whole point of playing the game will depend on the player. Fortunately Skyrim isn't like MMOs where if I venture outside zones of my level I die. I've done this A LOT. But then again there was Fallout where it gets rather stale. So far Skyrim keeps exploring rather exciting with quests pertaining to each area and for a good while the dragons are surprising confrontations.

Besides exploring I like feeling like a total badass. Plus being a mage I'm eager to gain more advanced spells the game is hiding from me >w> Maybe the excitement is all hype but it's a motivator. There's all sorts of builds I can do later after the bajillion quests too. I have 3 characters i'm switching around through: theif, two-handed warrior, and mage. ^_^

Reyoki 01-08-2012 08:29 PM

Has anyone else run across the ghost of the headless horseman? I followed him for a while, but then I saw a dragon, fought it, and lost sight of him.

Jurinjo 01-08-2012 08:31 PM

o.o Really?
I was a headless horseman once though xD
A glitch where my morekei mask became see through. I wish I knew how to take screen shots on the 360 lol
