Nothing holds a candle to the movie version. Nothing.

That guy at least has a decent voice. But suuuure doesn't have the laugh.

Red Lion 03-10-2013 07:53 PM

No, and without the laugh it just doesn't work.

uncledaddy 03-10-2013 07:55 PM

And laugh aside... this plant kinda sounds friendly by comparison.

Red Lion 03-10-2013 07:56 PM

Yeah,

As does the Dentist.

The villains seem nastier in the movie version.

uncledaddy 03-10-2013 07:58 PM

Definitely. And they just aren't as enthusiastic about it, either.

Red Lion 03-10-2013 07:59 PM

No, to much restraint.

And because this part was ad-libed by the actors it never made it into any of the musical versions.

I seee... Such a wonderful part, though.

Red Lion 03-10-2013 08:07 PM

Yes,

Both Steve Martin and Bill Murray are comedians who like to do their own improvisations.

Quote:

It supposedly took Steve Martin six weeks to film all his scenes. He contributed ideas such as socking the nurse in the face (originally he was to knock her out using his gas mask) and ripping off the dolls head.

uncledaddy 03-10-2013 08:10 PM

I love when they do that; it adds a lot more life to the roles.

Red Lion 03-10-2013 08:12 PM

Yup, makes it feel more genuine.

uncledaddy 03-10-2013 08:15 PM

Screech O 3O

Don't you want Paul to do your hair?

Red Lion 03-10-2013 08:15 PM

....Nah, I'm good, don't want him going at me with scissors.

Edit.

"Eddie Murphy was considered to voice Audrey II."
Glad that didn't happen

uncledaddy 03-10-2013 08:19 PM

Oh god yes. ; A; We'd be missing a wonderful, perfect thing.

But I'm sure he's got skillz!

Red Lion 03-10-2013 08:26 PM

Indeed, I've heard Eddie Murphy sing, DO NOT WANT.

Yeaaah, he can use them on someone else.

uncledaddy 03-10-2013 08:29 PM

*shakes head emphatically*

...It is something I totally want to see.

Red Lion 03-10-2013 08:35 PM

Indeed,

Now who's gonna get a haircut from Paul?
