Blagh.. All I hear is "I have to code this.. Then this.. Then that.." Just how many coders are there on the site? x.x... It sounds like we need 1 or 2 more.

Coda 02-20-2011 01:08 AM

Um... one, plus an intern that's still learning. Yes, we DO need more coders, but nobody's applying except one person that we can't hire due to time zone issues.

Illusion 02-20-2011 01:11 AM

x.x.... Make a craiglist ad then? Lol... xD

Fenris 02-20-2011 01:51 AM

@Illusion: that would require the site making enough to hire another coder like that.

Yeah, I know what you mean, because I don't know what they mean...
Freaking Greek.

Is that Cassidy? :3

Coda 02-20-2011 12:23 PM

Sakura's the intern I'm training. Cazzidy is the one that lives on the other side of the world; it would have been nice to have her but the time zones proved to make it too difficult to coordinate our efforts.

Obbiesan 02-20-2011 01:22 PM

if I enjoyed coding I would have helped coda but I couldn't handle it in college =.=

Panda 02-20-2011 01:46 PM

Awww, I guess you have to born to like it a lot? XD

Coda 02-20-2011 02:42 PM

Yeah, more or less. Like any discipline, to be really good you have to be passionate about it, and not everyone can be passionate about everything.

Panda 02-20-2011 02:44 PM

By the way, to be a coder in training do you have to already took some classes in real life or what?

Coda 02-20-2011 02:53 PM

You need to be proficient in programming already. The language you use isn't relevant because if you're a good engineer you can learn a new programming language pretty fast. Whether you're self-taught (like I was) or you've taken classes doesn't matter.

Taiki 02-20-2011 03:17 PM

I tried learning coding once, it just wasn't my thing. xD;

Chi 02-20-2011 04:00 PM

I'm learning to code, it's something I want.
I judge myself a little too harshly though when I mess up. x_x;

Panda 02-20-2011 04:54 PM

To me, I have no passion in coding so I will never be a coder.

Coda 02-20-2011 05:48 PM

Chi, if you need a little tutoring I'd be happy to help.
