Coda, what's your favourite pokemon?

Kamikaze Chinchilla 12-17-2012 09:38 AM

Coda, what's your weapon of choice in a zombie apocalypse?

(Yes, I like Anders. DUN JUDGE ME!)

Indeed ಠuರೃ

@Quiet: If needles do that to Quiet, I'd hate to imagine what kitchen knives do.

Coda 12-17-2012 12:37 PM

Zombie apocalypse, huh? Hmm. Hadn't thought about it. I usually favor the quarterstaff in combat but zombies aren't too impressed by blunt-force trauma. Practically speaking I'll just have to set aside my usual preference against firearms and go for a shotgun.

Favorite Pokemon is a hard one. I like a lot of them and I don't know if I can select a single favorite. (Especially since I can't even remember most of the list at the moment.)

Arikana 12-17-2012 01:44 PM

Here's a list of all six hundred, forty-nine Pokemon species for ya, Coda. :) http://pokemondb.net/pokedex/national

Ah, I see. I never thought of selling my stuff for money. Maybe if I got better at it, I could do that. o3o <3 How much do you usually sell your stuff for? :o

I'm sorry. T_T I didn't meant to send him to dog therapy. D:
But, uh, crochet him an outfit and he won't be a disappointment anymore? :P

Well if that's a clone, I'm going to go ahead and eat it owo *tries to eat it*

o.o
*watches Kami try to eat that clone, which is made out of papier-mâché* :o

I stitched a sailboat with Christmas lights for one of my cousins' family and am making some hummingbird bookmarks for my sister who uses tons of bookmarks and is a bird person. ;). My niece was watching me stitch and asked if I was "pixel sewing." I thought that was a pretty good description of it.

I can basic knit and have the theory behind purl, sort of. Never really got the hang of cross-stitch past one string though I can probably figure it out. If I actually tried. My sister is the croquet fiend who makes afghans in her sleep. She recently made her kid a beanbag chair and has a selection of toques.

*sniff* Cute doggy picture is cute but makes me miss Monty!

o.o
The purl stitch is super easy to learn. So it shouldn't be too difficult for you to learn. :)

Though I believe you meant to say your sister a croCHet fiend as croquet is simply a lovely activity where one uses mallets to hit balls through wire things. ;) :P

May I see some of your sister's work, please? :o

Coda's favorite pokemon is Lanturn, because Coda loves lanterns. (I'm very sad that I didn't save the lantern overkill avatar he once had.)

Arikana 12-17-2012 02:12 PM

Are you just presuming that? Or do you really know that, Lucid? >.>

Daigotsu 12-17-2012 02:21 PM

All staff: Favorite fruit, GO

Arikana 12-17-2012 02:28 PM

For me it's a tie between passion fruit and pomegranate. <3

Ultima 12-17-2012 03:04 PM

Banana =D

...

But not in a gay way, I just like the taste >A>;

Coda 12-17-2012 03:14 PM

Favorite fruit, huh? That's a hard one too. I can't really pick a favorite. Strawberries are up there, but I also really like bananas. Pomegranates are good.

Arikana, I usually use Marrilland. :P (Whoa! He remodeled the site!) But let's see... There are a lot of Pokemon that I've enjoyed training and like having on my team, but I suppose if we're looking at favorites regardless of mechanical effectiveness... I would probably have to say Flareon. He's fluffy! And I have a special place in my heart for fire.

Arikana 12-17-2012 03:18 PM

@Ulti: Lol. Silly Ulti. *pets*

@Coda: *shrugs* I usually use a mix of that site I linked and Bulbapedia. :3 There are so many informative Pokemon websites out there. @_@
Ooo, nice choice. Flareon's so cute and fluffy. :D

Belial 12-17-2012 03:35 PM

I'm really fond of pears.
I know, so unlike a Whovian but I really like the "this isn't obnoxiously sweet" taste that other fruits have.
Kiwi's aren't bad either.

No. He likes missing no. cuz he loves glitches.

Coda 12-17-2012 04:42 PM

I wasn't counting Missingno. :P I was actually one of the earlier researchers into that, actually -- once I learned about how to acquire Missingno, I dug into the effects it had and how they interacted with things. That led to me discovering how EVs worked by using Missingno to generate identical level 0 Dittos and grinding them up to level 20 against different kinds of opponents. (Since the community hadn't coined the term "effort value" yet, I called it "stat experience".) I then theorized that the vitamins gave massive doses of EVs up to a certain limit and only training would push it past that -- and that turned out to be correct. I also discovered that stats only got recalculated under certain conditions like leveling up or using a vitamin -- again, correct, although I hadn't noticed that depositing it into a box would force a recalculation too.

Mango.

Coda, top 3 Disney movies?

Arikana 12-17-2012 08:35 PM

Why mango, Ashykins? :o

Coda 12-17-2012 11:15 PM

Sheesh, don't ask me to rank Disney movies. There are so many of them. @.@ If I had to pick a CURRENT favorite instead of an all-time favorite, that's easy: Wreck-It Ralph.

Kamikaze Chinchilla 12-17-2012 11:24 PM

Does Coda own any pets?

Arikana 12-17-2012 11:28 PM

I'm highly amused with this barrage of questions for Coda right now. :P Though a little bit underwhelmed with some of his answers. >.>

Kamikaze Chinchilla 12-17-2012 11:30 PM

He wants people to know him so well that they'll be able to fit into his pants ;3

Coda 12-17-2012 11:38 PM

Three kitties! :3 One's a big ol' black-and-gray poofball, his name is Calvin. His littermate is Hobbes, he's just as big but he's sleek and orange-stripey. Then there's Chi, she's black and white and about five years younger than the other two and she's stuck kitten-sized so she's adorbs.

Kamikaze Chinchilla 12-17-2012 11:46 PM

O_____________O!

Coda...is that you? *stares at* D:

Guyz...I don't think that's Coda D:

Coda 12-17-2012 11:49 PM

Yes, that's me. XD Why wouldn't it be?

Words and writing style that Coda would not be caught using xD

You're not Coda *^* *shakes imposter*

Coda 12-17-2012 11:58 PM

You... don't know me very well, do you? XD That's actually my normal style of chatter if I'm being casual. I'm just an engineer so I get all proper and good-grammar-y when something starts getting into non-trivial amounts of thought.

Oh, they sound so cute! X3 Do you have any pictures of them? 8D

Coda 12-18-2012 12:15 AM

Uh... *rummage*

http://statigr.am/p/345646122023682111_3378487 Here's Chi.

I... can't find any pictures of the other two. :(

http://statigr.am/p/308109954944237654_3378487 Not a cat, but my son!

Yer, I know formal Coda. Blunt. Usually strips his answers down to the bare bones.

Coda 12-18-2012 12:46 AM

Heh, yeah, my high school English teacher said that I make "omit needless words" sound verbose. ^^()

Arikana 12-18-2012 12:47 AM

Your cat looks so damn serious. o3o He or she makes me think of formal you as a cat. XP

Aw, your son's adorable! <3

Coda 12-18-2012 01:14 AM

She's not usually serious. XD She's quite playful. Hobbes is the serious one and even he's softening up as he gets older.

Ultima 12-18-2012 01:22 AM

Calvin and Hobbes. That is too cute XD

Arikana 12-18-2012 01:33 AM

Oh. Well, that picture is quite deceptive then. It sure fooled me. >.>

I just noticed the connection to the Calvin and Hobbes comic characters. =w= /fail

Quiet Man Cometh 12-18-2012 01:34 AM

Ari, yes I meant Crochet, and I also meant that I didn't get the hang of it, but again, didn't really try. I can do purl, but I keep forgetting which way the yarn goes around the needle.

Kami - I've only stabbed myself twice with kitchen knives and neither really involved much profanity (My thumb knuckle is still a little nervy from the second incident involving an avocado). It's just that the needles surprise me since I'm usually working with the needle on the other side of the fabric when I stab myself.

Favourite fruit - alpine strawberries maybe? Mango is always good, and if it's something made from fruit than usually raspberry. Or Mango.

Belial 12-18-2012 02:00 AM

There is a terrifying monkey on your son's head, Coda.
I think that is universal studios, My sister lives near one in CA.

Question for all staff:

What has been the happiest moments of your life so far? It can be a hobby, or an event. *Is in super happy yum yum fun time Christmas is coming up mode*

Arikana 12-18-2012 02:04 AM

@Quiet: Aw, that sucks to hear. I've gotten the hang of knit and purl stitches already, but keep forgetting how to cast on stitches since those aren't done as much. >.>;;

I've also cut myself with knives before. I kind liked it. >.> But then again, I do love pain. X3

Hex 12-18-2012 02:50 AM
