I had a boss like that but after I threatened to quit over she changed the time slots. She only did it because I was her hardest worker and I did the most cleaning. I'm saying you should threaten to quit but or anything. But if I was in your shoes I'd question her professionalism over the matter. If she is indeed targeting you I'd go over her head. What are your plans if I may ask? If its because of school I would say your in the right. Or if you gave her two weeks notice of your plans then she is in the wrong. |

I already have been to the other Staples asking for transfers. But my managers have yet to talk to me about it. I'm afraid to go to the next up person and tell him I feel like I'm being targeted because the last time I did that, was in nursing school, and I was essentially pushed out of the program. I couldn't find a lawyer who wasn't attached to the school and it still scars me. I am in school. I told her I want 10-15 hours during semester. I have to watch how much I make because of tax reasons. My mom's tax lady said to. I keep telling Autumn that and she just poo-poos me with "I was a student for four years and I got it all back and I didn't have to worry about how much." I told her I had to because that's what my tax lady said! And it's wrong of her to change the schedule and not tell us. |

So your using a finance program. Does your boss not understand that you could be dropped from the program? And if she 'went' to school why the hell is she working at a staples? I think you might be better off looking for a new job mhmm... Keep this one if you can until then. But I could understand if you quit before hand.
Whatever you do don't sacrifice school for work like I did. You'll regret it mhmm. There are other programs that can help you though if you do decide to stop working at staples. .... And its just hamburger in mac-n-cheese... |
I'm not sure what a finance program is but my mom's tax lady said I have to keep under the 5150 thing or whatever. It's not a program, just I have to be careful about how much I earn to the issues of taxes. I have some funds that as is I almost had to pay income tax on those alone. So if I have those PLUS my job, it could be a problem. But it's none of her business, I should only have 20 hours max a week like I asked. My mom won't let me quit without having another job secured unless I feel they are going to fire me.
There is no way in hell I would ever give up school for work. My mom and I aren't THAT badly off. I told opened more up to my mom about how last semester I almost broke down from school five days a week, then working my weekend and repeating. Never having a day to do even simple laundry let alone relax. What'd you put in it darling? -Grins at him.- You taste first. |
Its a little strange but I wont pry. Yeah work and school on top of each other is a bit much for everyone. I wasn't able to balance both of them very well and my grades slipped and my finance programs dropped me because I was focused more on work.

I dont' know all the specifics to it but I do as I am told. She doesn't get it. I told them this semester I can't be working all weekend and doing five days of class. I just can't. I really almost did have a break down. I was ready to quit just to have a day off from both of them.

I've had that feeling before. My suggestion is to embrace the feeling, hug it, and maybe kiss it on the forehead if the situation calls for it, and then let it go and work on the problem in a logical fashion. Of course, that also means that if you really don't want to work there, you ought to find a new job. :P

I've been looking everywhere. There is no true jobs around here. And I'm not embracing this feeling. Not again. It almost destroyed me in nursing. I will NOT let it just be.
