Yeah I know xD It's a bummer he didn't keep them. I would have asked for some of them but they were his and he was out of state, and I didn't find out he sold all of them until about two years ago when he told me. I was rather bummed because he really liked them, but he must have needed quick cash. It's hard living on your own at a young age. He's 24 now and was probably 21 or 22 when he sold them. Oh well. You've gotta do what you gotta do and more to make it by.

I only got into Magic about 7 months ago, so my collection doesn't really have anything expensive in it. a couple of cards worth up to $30,but that's about it.
I'm 19 and living away from my parents, so i can understand that >_>

I have a lot too...
if I'd have to guess.... 4 to 5 thousand... At least.
^^;

If I knew how valuable they would become when I was younger, I'd have definitely collected them and kept some of the packages closed xD I was more into Pokemon at the time and I had quite the collection, but I never did manage to find a Charizard.

Ducky 05-18-2012 07:40 PM

-looks at his first edition, original, shiny charizard- >_>

Umaeril 05-19-2012 11:49 AM

Hey Ducky, how are you doing?

Ducky 05-19-2012 12:04 PM

I'm doing good thanks. Just a little bored of life, as a jobless lame person Dx

how about you?

Umaeril 05-19-2012 12:10 PM

Aw you are not lame. Are you looking for a summer job? I am fine thanks! It's noon here and I am watching some tv show from India, an interview show. I need more coffee though. Also I have chores but no ambition.

Ducky 05-19-2012 12:40 PM

I'm looking for a full time proper job. I live and pay rent in the capital city of Scotland, where it's fairly expensive and I haven't managed to find a job yet.

Umaeril 05-19-2012 12:53 PM

What is your field? I know someone who got their doctorate at the Univ of Edinburgh in nematode genetics. But that is as close as I have come to Edinburgh. Do you speak Scottish Gaelic?

Ducky 05-19-2012 01:01 PM

I don't really have a field. I didn't really do that great at high school, and then only one year at college. Next year I hope to go back to college to follow up on the previous course I did.

I was in that Uni last night :P

As for Gaelic, no. My parents are actually English so I never had an opportunity to learn through them.

Umaeril 05-19-2012 01:09 PM

Best wishes on your return to school. Sometimes I think school is easier when you are older.

Dawn 05-19-2012 04:39 PM

I would of thought it would of been easier getting a job up there than down in Ayr. <..<

I only have a small booster box of Magic Cards, not opened yet cause I haven't met anyone in the area that plays, plus I usually always put my playing decks in protective cases.

-thinks of her Charizard in storage overseas- I miss my pokemon cards. =(

Ducky 05-19-2012 04:53 PM

yeah, I'm looking forward to doing it while older.

easier to get a job in the capital in which there are thousands of thousands of people applying for every single job that comes up? XD then all the students on top of that.

I have 5 different decks now o3o And I go out and play every Tonday, Tuesday and Friday.

Angel Spirit Girl 05-19-2012 07:22 PM

I have some of the Pirates of the Lost Seas game cards.

You get to build little boats from punch out pieces with them.
