Like an indoor fair with costumes and celebrity speakers instead of rides.

Throughout the con they have panels of guest speakers, usually authors or actors, who have been given a topic to chat about for each panel.

They also usually have a dealer's room selling things, an art show with an auction, craft demonstrations, a gaming room, a masquerade costume contest, a room showing videos of SF movies or anime, a snack lounge, an artist ally, autograph signing, work in progress readings, folk musicians, an amateur play, and a DJ hosted dance.

Sounds awesome...like the Valley Fair I went to once - guys woodcarving and making candles...

Hey everyone! Renaissance Fairs are a ton of fun! I went to my first one last year and the shows and vendors were really cool. :D

I would love to go to a Renaissance Fair. That is something that has definitely been on my bucket list since I was a little kid into King Arthur and his knights and all.

You should definitely go. It's totally worth it. :D

If I can find one nearby, I will go.
