oooh, yeah, going to school for web design should be fun. it might be a lot of work, though. good art isn't quick or easy. yesterday, my typography teacher showed our class a book that he designed of his friend's photographs, and one page had a spiral of text that gradually got smaller and smaller in the middle. he said he worked for 3 days on just that page to make it look right. @.@

yeah. I hate when sites are still set up like they're from the 90's, with really ugly, hard to read background images and sidebar-navigation, and bad font and color choices, and...
I don't know much about the code for designing a website (though I'm in a class right now where I'll learn the basics) but I could probably design something pretty in InDesign, hand it to a coder, and say "make this." |

that's awesome. I wish I knew how to code neat things, but it seems really complicated. maybe my class will teach me a few things. our first project is making a "trip site" which online has no space - Tripsite. when I first saw it, I totally thought it said Trisphite. XD

back when myspace was popular, I learned a bit of html to make my profile all pretty, but there's not a ton you can do with html for prettiness. I think my class will eventually teach us CSS, which will be cool. I might even be able to make my own profile here, when we get customizable ones.

profile design is a pretty profitable business, I bet. there's a ton of artists out there competing, but not as many profile coders.
