I thought Michigan had it worse from the unemployment rate.

In terms of government financial debt, California's doing pretty terrible, and cost of living there is very high -- I don't know if you could necessarily say it's the worst in the nation, but money isn't good there.

I agree Coda. D: I lived there for a year and a half for college and it was SO expensive there. It seemed like groceries cost twice as much as here in Arizona and the minimum wage I was payed was only like a dollar more than here. X_x

It's a stupid idea, raising minimum wage - that only makes all the prices go that much higher, so that you're in the same place you started. You can't raise a family on minimum wage, no matter where it's set. If it was set at $50k a year, then you would need $120k/year just to stay afloat. You'd think voters would wise up and realize this.
